At least phasing technology will only be used sparingly, since it doesn't play well with zone events.

Ack! Just... just read this.

Quote:Been playing since Issue Zero; never seen this happen. In fact, it should work the same as iTrials - if you don't participate enough or don't finish it with everyone else, you aren't rewarded.*Why is it that when people join a Task Force and log out after 1 mission, still get rewards if the Task Force is completed. The people on the Task Force will enter missions designed for teams that include the people who logged out making it harder for the team, while the person who logged out, will get all the rewards as if he was there the whole time.
*Unless everyone else drops the TF, leaving you as the sole TF member, and you complete the TF solo. -
Quote:Just wanted to say I love your avatar.I hadnt read this question, you mean a gun wielding toon with mez protection, capped defenses to everything and able to solo GMs without incarnate stuff as a bonus?
Beam Rifle/Traps corr. Or DP, or AR. AR might be bad on the soloing GMs stuff tho
For dinner. -

If I am a winner, I permit NC Interactive, Inc. and NCsoft Europe Limited to use my name, likeness, photograph, hometown, and any comments that I may make about myself or this contest that I provide for advertising and promotional activities. I also certify that I am at least 13 years of age and am eligible to participate in this contest. -
I decided to go with WP. In the end, the additional Recovery for the End-heavy TW attacks and the Psi protection were the tipping points. The self rez is a nice addition too.
However, I'll see how he plays out before making any final decisions. I don't mind deleting a low-level toon if things end up not being as fun as I hope.

IIRC, Paragon Wiki used to be a stand-alone service that started after the wiki's divorce from Wikia. Later, it became part of the Titan Network. I suspect they keep both DNS names around just for the sake of utility, but the only person who could say for sure is TonyV.

The only thing that changed on the last patch was the ability to actually summon (and keep) a pet out using travel powers that suppress (almost) every other power. Unfortunately, that doesn't mean they actually added a "walk AI" to the pets at the same time. This is the default follow behavior for any NPC in the game; they will "slinky" if you're not moving at full speed.

It's under the Known Issue header, so the former.

Quote:Paragon Wiki IS at CoH Titan. You're thinking about the Wikia site, which isn't supported by the forums community. But both paragonwiki and wiki.cohtitan resolve to the same servers hosted by TonyV and the Titan Network.*this* is actually an old wiki that hasn't been updated in I think a few years now...if your link doesn't say paragonwiki, it's time to delete it

It's a good question, but regardless of who's actually handling the "nuts and bolts", the end result leaves something to be desired, IMPO.

It's what happens when an SMTP server can't deliver outgoing mail. Chalk another up to the NCSoft web ops team - bad forums, bad mail server

Quote:I will definitely concur on this point. I'm sure it doesn't help that, in their infinite wisdom, NCSoft laid off a sizeable portion of their North American staff earlier this year. I'm sure that hasn't effected their response time at allHowever, by the same token anyone who thinks they could tell me for a year that they couldn't fix my boards and still be employed, well that's highly unlikely.

Quote:The forums are srsbsns, apparently. Even moreso than NCSoft maintenance a property that is doing very well post-F2P launch.I'm sorry, but my empathy for your explanation has been reallocated to an unrelated product that I didn't pay for. Are you serious, Zwill? My ability to peaceably drink the forum kool-aid has also been reallocated towards my ongoing and increasing dissatisfaction.
I would have been happier if the answer was, "Sorry, we screwed up" rather than, "Lineage II>>>City of Heroes." Get it together, Paragon.
SRS BSNS.
My empathy for your rejection of Zwill's explanation (and the situation being above and beyond his control at that) is vacant. Killing the messenger is always bad form, DB. -

Quote:The first answer that comes to mind is: the moderation team. It's easier for a Free player to abuse the forums (and create a new Free account and do it all over again) than a Premium or VIP player (who could be account banned from the forums).I guess a follow-up question would be...to whom would this be helpful?
Whenever i think of identifiers such as this, it makes me think of someone's forum reg date/post count or that ranking thing that you removed a while back.
I don't think it will cause an uproar or outright discrimination towards non-subscribers but it might color some people's perception of that poster/poster's message.
Yes i know, it's not much of a problem, but if you can help it, why tempt it?
Looks like they'll be experimenting with how much access they want to give certain account types. I'm betting they'll be keeping a weather eye out for how much abuse happens from Free players, as well as possibly allowing Premium players much greater access than they have now. -

Wow all, the amount of vitriol on this thread makes even me blush.
Lineage II is flush with new blood, so resources had to be temporarily shifted. I'm sure worse things have happened in the world, or in a video game.
At the end of the day, I'm just happy to have an official forum at all. Yes, the logout thing is absolutely annoying as all get-out, and yes, I was just as disappointed when I discovered that the forum fix had been postponed again, but I have worse things to worry about then getting logged out of a forum these days (like finals).
In fact, I think I need to attend to a few of them
