But on the subject, I haven' yet had the opportunity to see either (too busy playing in Praetoria), but I'd agree that such illustrious locations deserve maps behooving to their importance.

  3. Ultimately, this is nothing one can't do with a simple copy & paste, unless one plans on changing alignment extremely frequently (within the confines of the system). Personally, I think the idea of having a bio related to costumes (hero w/ secret identity) makes more sense, but that's just my personal opinion.
  4. I think my favorite part so far is going Loyalist / Resistance and secretly working for the other side. It reminds me a lot of the plot of Equilibrium.
  5. Probably accidentally flagged as Villain only. Seems like there are a few badges like that floating around on either side of the fence that are marked for <Faction> only, but shouldn't.
  6. I wanted some clarification on this issue, since the Going Rogue game manual doesn't mention anything about where your "standard AT" character starts out; it simply says that if you level an appropriate AT to lvl 20, you can unlock Epic ATs.

    According to GM Lloyd:

    Quote:
The Level 20 Praetorian would need to move to either Paragon City or the Rogue Isles. At that point, you should be able to create an Epic Archetype on that "side".
So simply moving a lvl 20 Praetorian to Paragon City or the Rogue Isles should be enough to unlock an Epic AT.

If that doesn't happen, I'd recommend submitting a GM ticket.
  7. Thanks for the video Marcian. I'll probably keep it on for now for Friends Only, but I'm disabling that crap that allows friends to check me in. If I want you to know where I'm at, I'll do it myself, TYVM
  8. Between Ninja Run and having the vet perk of picking up a travel power without a prerequ power, I'm in the same boat. Ninja Run was the best thing to happen to my "all natural" character, but I've been using it quite a bit on other toons too.

Agreed. It needs a self destruct authorization code like Star Trek
  11. I'd just run the Tutorial again. Smaller odds you'd get bumped from it twice.
  12. Exactly. For Gods' sake, file a GM ticket or bug report!
  13. Edit: apparently, this is an AE-centric thread. Post redacted.
  14. My GameStop experience in California went swimmingly, but the manager is my good friends and fellow CoH player (he's also turned a few stores around financially).

He did not, however, point out the extra code on the receipt, so I had to re-roll my character once I discovered my missed steps Fortunately he was only lvl 2 fresh out of the tutorial.
  15. Your receipt (if you picked it up in-store) should have another code that unlocks this "perk" via PlayNC.com. Unfortunately, you'll have to re-roll your character once you apply it, since these Enhancements are only given at character creation.

If you purchased online, you should have received an email with the perk code, perhaps on your electronic receipt. I can only speak from my experience at a brick & mortar store.
  16. Sounds like GameStops in Canada suffers from rectal cranial inversion. I feel for you guys. My GameStop experience in California went swimmingly, but the manager is my good friends and fellow CoH player (he's also turned a few stores around financially). Frankly, if not for him, I might have just ordered it off the NCStore.

If GameStop is using UPS for freight between the US and CA, I can attest to their horrible Customs procedures. Things that normally take a day or two to move through Customs with other bulk carriers take up to a week with UPS, IMPE.
  17. I can get to it without issue - even redirected me to http://us.ncsoft.com/en/. Perhaps your ISP is having DNS issues? Or maybe it's the Euro site that isn't up?

Edit: nope, I can get to http://eu.ncsoft.com/en/ too.

Yes. Same steps for Vista and Win7. The computer from which I grabbed these steps is Vista.

Not completely computer literate here, sorry.
    Windows Vista/ 7:

Start > Control Panel > Network & Internet > Network & Sharing Center > Manage Network Connections > Local Area Connection > Properties > Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) > Use the following DNS Server Addresses:

    Preferred DNS Server: 4.2.2.1
    Alternate DNS Server: 4.2.2.2

    OK > OK > Close
  20. Could always be a DNS issue with your ISP. You could try temporarily changing the DNS servers on your compy to something like 4.2.2.1 or 4.2.2.2.
  21. Heck, I forgot to mention that all the pre-orders got to start playing GR a day early too! I had to wait a whole day before I could even start!

    I'm sorry.

I'm sorry you got to play those two powersets months before GR came out.

I'm sorry that, even after the cost of the pre-order and the item pack, you're still paying a couple of bucks less than the Complete Collection.

I'm sorry you didn't realize this earlier when the info was originally posted by TheOcho and referenced on the Community Digest.

I'm sorry you've missed the forest for the trees. Really the only thing you've missed out on is free game time, but at the cost of playing to great powersets months in advance. I'd say that's a fair trade.
  23. Yes, I've been having the same problem this week. usually the forums will leave me logged in for a while (at least a couple of weeks), but lately I've had to log back in every day, even if I click the Remember Me box before I log in.

    I'm confused?!?

Calvin mentions that you might have to do some "questionable things" in order to maintain your cover. The hope is that, despite the sacrifices and having to "defeat" other Resistance members, eventually you'll be elevated in the ranks to a place where you can do the most damage at the right time.

It's not an easy path - some may even call it morally reprehensible. But Praetoria is filled with these sorts of situations.
