Quote:Reply form konshu:Feasible, especially if it applies to SG bases also. However, I'm not sure how high up on the priority ladder this would be. IMPO, the popularity of the MA has diminished due to players exploiting it and the "MA babies" quagmire. If they could leverage a system towards the base architect too, including setting up NPCs (either as in-base vendors or flavor characters, or for setting up "NPC Base Raids"), it would make such a system more important.
Quote:Thanks for posting my crazy idea.
I agree that it would be great if a mission map editor could be used to edit bases. It's something I've brought up from time to time.
Also, while this would be usable by players in MA, the main benefit would be that the DEVS could use it to make new maps in all future content. -
Quote:Unsure, but doubtful. On US servers, I can type special characters like ™ into the normal chat, but not into a character name. Are characters such as á, â, à, ü, ä and ö allowed in names on the European servers? They're not allowed in names on the American servers, but you can type those characters in chat when you have the right keyboard layout selected.
If you can't use characters that are used in languages officially supported by the game (French, German), then it would be logical that characters in Danish wouldn't work either. -
Please be mindful that, in PvP, Teleport is all but useless when Travel Suppression is in effect. There's no quick get-away for a TPer that attacks or is attacked in PvP.
-
On topic, Æ doesn't work. Back when I made my WS character Alaestor, I would have named him AlÆstor, but the character isn't allowed.
-
Thank goodness, thought this would be a football thread. Glad it isn't.

Why have the costume contest afterwards in RV? Not only asking for greifing, but also excluding any character not natively lvl 45+. Better idea would be to have it in Pocket D instead.
Not that I'll be able to make it; I have a wedding to attend on the 26th :/ -
Perhaps the mechanism that excludes self heals is bugged? Seen a lot of progress on this badge for my Tank too.

Quote:By extension, so do extra character slots per serverOtherwise, this is completely unnecessary and undesirable to the game element of the game.
Speaking of which, I don't know if I'd add them to booster packs, but I could see extra Costume Slots being sold in the same way as extra character slots. The main problem would be deciding if extra costume slots would be per character pr per account. -
My wife and I re-purposed Kinetic powers on our Corruptors as vampirism. The red mist that comes out of them feeds our abilities to supernaturally heal and move faster, while weakening our opponents. Have to give my wife the idea; she came up with the concept years ago, before the vampire craze resurgence.

Furthermore, the Reveal vet reward power bug still seems to be undressed. There's nothing I like more than wandering into a map, using Reveal, and being rudely kicked from the map server

These things happen. People pick & choose subtopics, debate them, and sometimes pour gas on them and set them on fire.
That being said, I think that the flames have died down, so I'd be interested to hear any other crazy theories about I20, or even wish list items. This is supposed to be a conjecture thread, after all -

Nice give-away code too.
Hope the Meet & Greet is as cool as it was at SDCC. -
I need to take a crack at this. Heck, I need to do this TF altogether, I'v enever done it
Maybe I'll try to form something on Sunday. Not sure about a master run (since I'm a noob at this one), but we'll see what happens. Might just set it for a master run and see what happens. -
Yeah, I can attest to that. I joined Triumph back when I joined the game in June '04, because my friend was on Triumph. He was a fan of PvP and was waiting for CoV. Unfortunately, PvP never really picked up a lot of pace on Triumph (and he wasn't one for SG recruiting to get more PvP players into the fold), so he lost interest and left (didn't feel like rolling a toon on another server, and it was way before server xfers). I kinda took over the SG after that.
Triumph's a casual bunch of players, and that involves more PVE and badge hunting more than PvP. Previous PvPers would harrass the casual people, take over Triumph Watch on occasion for s**ts and grins (it's why measures against ninja modding were added to global channels), and overall gave the casual players a bad taste for PvP, myself included (why PvP with a bunch of jerks, after all?).
When Triumph's PvPers, like Old School and XA, weren't harrasing the crap out of everyone else, they were decent PvP teams in the ladders, but that was ages ago. When server transfers came around, they all left for Champion and other green grass. I can see casual PvP returning to Triumph, so long as the right players are in place supporting and participating in it, but I don't know if Triumph will ever have a PvP ladder team, for example. There aren't enough dedicated PvPers on the server, especially when fresh blood keep getting told that the server is dead
Also, the main red name who kinda took PvP under her wing, Ex Libris, left ages ago. That's kind of affected PvP, maybe just as much as I13, IMPO.
That might not be the whole story, but that's what I've seen from my PoV, and like Doc Gemini, I've been watching for a while. -
Wonder if it's a glitch in Power Customization? I don't use MA, but I remember there being alternate animations for some of the kick powers... Might be worth investigating at a Facemaker.

Hey, while he's in New York, perhaps he'll be able to help the Smurfs out with their dilemma, because they'll be in New York too, for some godforsaken reason. Why? Just 'cause! -
Easily done. Although they still own the engine, they no longer develop the game. I'll be sure to tell them as much in my email.

I finally got some photos of my entire collection of Nakayama art displays. They're not all the best pictures, but they give the gist.

This display is one of David's prints form Top Cow's City of Heroes run, Issue 7, page 7. On the left is David's original pencil work. My wife was fortunate enough to win this piece at the CoH M&G in Milpitas, CA, in 2007. To its right is the finished page, which I printed from the PDF onto photo paper (I have the original issue in my CoH comic collection).

These three pieces are two sketches done by David at ComicCon combined with an original work by me. My sketch of Obsidius was done by David this past ComicCon (the first in the drawing), and my wife's sketch was done last year in the drawing. We consider ourselves pretty lucky.

Quote:At that height, I'm surprised they don't just base jump down. Perhaps it's because they might hit the guidelines on the way down.I wouldn't even think about doing that without an emergency parachute on.

But yes, I got vertigo just watching it. I think I almost pissed myself. -

One of many base suggestions that, in my pessimism, will probably go unnoticed or unanswered. -

I can't post on the forums due to some sort of bug, but here's my idea:
Map Editor.
The devs have known for years that players want fresh maps, yet the devs have difficulty creating new maps due to poor tools. So, following the successful use of the Mission Architect (obviously heavily used to create the recent new content), the devs introduce the next step: Map Editor.
The reason for the signed NDA is the same as with Architect, and that is: no other MMO allows you to create and edit mission maps! -
Also, the Bioluminescent costume parts from the Mutant Pack have a glow.
Otherwise, it could be the Resistance pieces included with Going Rogue.
But as otehr posters have pointed out, there are certain other parts or patterns that might simulate a glow. -
Quote:Such an NDA would be a) extremely hard to enforce and b) fruitless, as anyone who figures out such mechanics after release and not under NDA will create a guide anyhow. You'd have to NDA the entire player population.Just hit me, and haven't followed the whole thread, so this may be a repeat:
Complex raid mechanics related to the new end game content that the want the player base to puzzle through instead of approach with rote guides. The signed NDA likely includes outlines of penalties including banning for divulging such mechanics in chat or to guide and wiki sites even AFTER the release of i20.
