It must be something with Beam Rifle interactions with the costume. I've had this costume for a while and never had problems with my Stone / Axe tanker & his weapons.

Just caught wind of this today. What a tragic, senseless death. Muad_Dib wasn't always the kindest poster, but he was a decent guy (ran into him back at HeroCon '07), and I wish his family comfort and solace.

Caveat: VIP Reward Tier 8. -
Ahhh, HeroCon 2008. Good times. Congrats you two

Have to agree. I'm already behind because I took a break and now have RL issues. Now I'm not going to be able to earn merits in the same fashion as those before me. Not very enthused, to be completely honest. Making certain currencies harder to get and then requiring the currency to open up more powers. Yeah, I'm not feeling it.

Quote:If someone threatened you in-game, you should probably report them to a GMThey are punishing us for running too many BAFs and Lams and not enough new content. Whether they follow through with the punishment or not, they have already threatened to punish us for our actions.

What level of enhancements are you combining? What is the listed chance for success? Combining lower-level enhancements with existing higher-level ones will yeild a lower chance of success. Also, combining DOs with SOs should not be possible (AFAIK).

Indeed. I was / am dissapoint, as they say. What a gaffe.

I'm just not sure how this is different from the Greek stuff that is only available for Valentine's Day...

Quote:Fething sweet. DankeThey will be available for purchase until 11:59:59 PM Pacific on Friday, November 18, 2011.
So at 12:00 AM, Pacific - November 19th, the Halloween Costume Bundle (and all a la carte pieces and Bat Aura that comprise the bundle) will disappear from the Paragon Market.
Once purchased, you can wear the costume pieces any time that you want. -
Quote:Because the mechanic is completely different than other armors or almost anything else in the game besides Kheldian shape shifts. It doesn't add anything to your character's avatar - it replaces it entirely with a new model. The model isn't designed to be color tinted (although some MA tech might be able to fix this), and the PowCust code doesn't support customizing that sort of tech. Any way you hack it, new tech and perhaps a newer GUI would be needed.I'm sure this was probably mentioned at some point, but why not just have the original granite armor as one of the selections in the customize area? Sort of like how with every single other power you can select "original" "dark" "light" etc. Just have "original" and "customizable" as the two options, and let them not look the same.

Yes, there's more than one way to skin a cat, as they say. I'm going to try a big stick this time around. Honestly been waiting for the two-handed weapon concept since Issue 0, it fit the original RP character's concept better.

Quote:WE were talking about Titan Weapons, yes? Are they on the Training Room yet? I'm honestly really hoping the Market on the Training Room comes back up so I can give them a whirl, if personal time this weekend will even allow itThere's an alarming shortage of macros depicting a train derailed from hitting a dead horse. I demand someone makes one.
And to be completely honest, I'll be rolling a Brute. My Tank is about soaking up damage and defending the team, but I want to see how much I can dish out offensively with this power set -
Quote:Yeah, I don't get it either. If he claims people didn't know where to look for build info on the forums, and they weren't looking in the AT-specific forums, I think the only thing that should have been done is to make a large neon sign that says "Look here, dummies!"In case anyone hadn't seen this, they've created a new forum Workshop for builds. While I personally think this will create more confusion then Zwill thinks it will reduce, I did want to point it out so folks know it exists. So now our attention to tank builds will be divided between forums.

Quote:Well, if you're gonna derail this thread, I'll speak my peace. The majority of said people are quite happy to have a Tractor to finance their other ATs. They don't want to rock the boat, especially if that means the devs casting a critical eye at Brutes and Scrappers. The number of people who play those two ATs greatly overshadow the small number who actually give a damn about Tankers beyond using them. The few who do care have learned long ago to keep their mouth shut or be attacked by the poseurs and the Scrapper/Brute sets.
I'm a casual player. I don't play a tractor to finance my other ATs; I play a Tank to help my Team. I don't get wrapped around numbers, I don't farm (although sometimes I mob grind, perhaps a bit slower than some ATs). I have fun playing. Period. End of story.
The reason I keep my mouth shut in the Tank forums is because I got tired of being brow-beaten by someone who saw no joy in tanking, but only created joyless posts about all of the flaws of the AT, instead of its benefits. I kept my mouth shut because I was tired of being the casual guy who got drowned out by the diatribe of a poster who elected himself as an advocate of that AT through sheer number of words and posts. I stopped posting there because I was tired of debating posts that advocated buffs to an AT through derision of the very AT for which the poster supposedly advocated.
Johnny, if you're happy playing Brutes, more power to you. But if you're going to continually "advocate" for tanks while simultaneously insulting the very part of the playerbase you're trying to help, then yes, you are indeed doing it wrong, and you've been doing it wrong for years. The only reason I viewed your post despite you being on my ignore list was because, after being on hiatus for a bit (in part due to the above), I wanted to see if you had actually realized that your style of advocation wasn't doing anyone any favors. I'm sad to say that isn't the case.
Frankly, I think Tanks would be better represented by Jack Thompson. At least that guy is more even-keeled. -
Quote:Thanks Tunnel Rat. In any case, I'm just glad this is still under research and hasn't fallen off the radar entirely
Something important to keep in mind is that this feature is still unscheduled, which means that both the time allotted for it and the actual "deadline" for its completion are up in the air. This gives the FX team some flexibility to investigate what the players really want out of this feature, and to make adjustments accordingly. I’ve already done a few hours of preliminary research into customizing Granite Armor, so I have a good idea of how much time it'll take to accommodate the desires of the pro-Devouring Earth camp. Ultimately, I don't think this additional investment will have a significant impact on the feature's launch date.
I am quite happy to have received so much feedback about Granite Armor from all sorts of different perspectives, though. It's an indication that it's something you guys really want, and I'm always happy to try to accommodate specific, long-standing requests.
Also, thanks for the reports about the bugged path auras. We are actively looking into this. -
Quote:SweetJust so everyone knows: Per an announcement during today's Facebook Friday, Titan Weapons will be available for testing on the Training Room as soon as that version of the Paragon Market is brought back online.
Hoping to get some time in tonight if the MArket on Test goes back up.

Quote:Agreed. I don't remember needing IOs to duo an AV Nemesis with me as the Tank and my wife as a Scrapper. Nope, we did that all with SOs and Inspirations. Heck, get more people with only SOs, and it's easier. As far as I can tell there isn't anything in the store that is required for people to "keep up with your friends and still help the teams you are on." You should be able to do that w/out buying anything from the store.

Quote:I think you meant to post this here. I'm sure you have a fresh argument to make to that audience that has never before been heard nor beaten like a deceased equineSo you see the beauty of that power. For Brutes and Scrappers.
Let's drop the charade that Tankers are being used as anything other than farm tools by people who can't yet build a good enough Brute. That's why Tankers should renamed 'Tractors'; there's no better name for an AT that hits like a little girl but can move at a steady pace back and forth across a farm. They're a real workhorse. Like Boxer in Animal farm.

If someone replies to your thread, it can only be deleted by a moderator. You can thank Bubbawheat for that, ironically

I don't think such a concept would fit in with Trek, so I think it's safe to say that something so... direct would probably not be a part of it
