And god forbid you go to another server, and merely suggest moving iTrials from RWZ to Pocket D, or else you be flamed and whined at in a 3 page thread where they've been beating the dead horse into the ground for a few weeks now.

    /e facepalm

Seriously considering moving back to Freedom permanently.

Part of me says I should've never left to begin with.

Must be the Elitist in me.
  2. I've had Real World Hero in my SG MotD forever now, lol.

I wouldn't mind a little bump. Almost have enough to upgrade a few energy/control items.

I would say 'Escapist' from the old AE Badges would be MiniTurg's display badge. But, since that one was removed from the game...I'm gonna have to go with 'Traveler'.

MiniTurg has got to be straight up Praetorian. One day he's working with you, the next day he's completely against everything you stand for. And by the time he's Level 20, he can choose his own path, but you hope he follows in the footsteps of his forebearers, and therefore carriest at least some of the ideals passed down from the parential figures.

Powersets? Hmmmm Definitely Sonic/Energy Blaster because you WISH you had a 10th of the energy MiniTurg is gonna have in his pinky finger, just to get the extra boost throughout the day, and the crying.....oh the crying.
  4. See, I guess this is the Freedom Elitist in me talking, because Freedom standardly uses Pocket D for iTrial formations (there's also ten crap tons of channels on Freedom). No one really complains about the inability to sell, because they'll just run to Talos Island or Port Oaks to take care of that selling issue, then return to the D for more iTrial fun.

I find it highly inconsiderate of us who form iTrials on top oof those wanting to run MSR/LGTF/Apex/Tin Mage.

I, for one, am going to start forming my iTrials in Pocket D, just so that's 16+ less people crowding RWZ.

I don't have a problem taking a few minute break in between trials, so people can run off and sell.

And, in my mind, if you REALLY have to craft something, I'll be more than happy to give you access to my base to do it, as I'm sure others wouldn't mind doing the same.

And it's not that i'm trying to single handedly CHANGE how things are already run, though it may sound like that, but I was there when Celestial Lord was running that MSR, and no one should HAVE TO change zone instances because a bunch of iTrial campers are standing around with their thumbs up their bums waiting for someone to broadcast the next iTrial on the chopping block.

  6. I understand that because RWZ is a co-op zone, a lot of other servers use it as their itrial location.

But, with the presence of a weekly run (if not impromptu) Mothership Raids, the fact that the LGTF is formed up in the same area, why haven't we taken an area that is a ghost town (Pocket D) and used that (almost) exclusively for itrial formations?

The last iTrial I was on, there was some serious anger being flung around because a MSR was close to being formed up, and there was going to be the problem of one RWZ being full and a second being opened, so forth and so on.

Pocket D is dead on Exalted.

If iTrial formations were moved to that zone, no one would have to worry about the 'omgbbqsuace' problem of one event getting in the way of another.

    Thoughts?
  7. Late to the 50's thread, but all the same...

It's entirely possible to make this an event open for all Children of CoH on Freedom. I know several parents that let their kids play, and quite a few players, in general, that don't have the RV badges.

I know I'd be interested in helping Sister and Rose in RV, when the time comes.

Edit: If it did come down to an event, it's also entirely possible to get the Devs to bestow a yellow title on the kids that attended. I don't know how to go about asking for that though.
  10. I use the +Stealth proc in practically every toon I've ever made, even if it has a Stealth power already.

Personally, I'll slot them in sprint (Prestige or otherwise)

Good for running the Vine gauntlet in STF, ghosting LGTF, and lord knows how many other uses i've found for it.
  11. It's not a strict Euro SG, but Top Ten (contact @Captain Denmark) has quite a few Euro players.
  12. Quick question/request,

I've watched Season 1 and 2 off Hulu, and can't seem to find a viable source to watch Season 3.

Mind you, I watch it while I'm at work, and I can't download anything to my work computer, so I'm looking for streaming video in the States.

If you know of a free streaming site that works in the U.S. please direct me to it.

    Thanks.
  13. Hmmm, I think I'll throw my hat in on this one.

Sometime Friday night (time undetermined due to doing a family dinner for thanksgiving, but I'd plan for somewhere around 10:30-11:00pm CST) I will be happy to host a Mothership Raid in the name of The Obsidian Syndicate.

However, due to the tenative time, if one is to take place, all major blue-side zones will have a broadcasted announcement, and in the few channels I have for Exalted. Any redsider/Rogue/Vigilante who joins, I will ask that they move through the redside zones (just a forewarning, as I only have heroes, so far).

This has me scratching my head a bit.

I'm pretty sure I've got somewhere around 8 or 9 active, all the time, Freedom Channels.

Could be part of the problem is some of those 'active' channels are at cap.

    Either way, GL with United.

    A smile for you!

    - Beating the tar out of Ukon Gr'ai and his friends on the Rikti Mothership.

    - Getting my global name as my character name on Exalted's launch day. (This really made me happy)

    - When a build works out perfectly, and I get every power I wanted.

    - End fight of LRSF (Something about slapping the pancakes out of the Freedom Phalanx makes me giggle like a school girl)

    - Logging on to the message 'You have sold X at Wentworth's' and finding out I have anywhere between 25 and 100 million inf waiting for me.

    - Base building. (Don't know why, but this makes me happy, even when I'm sad.)

Do you happen to remember the day before i14 launched, and the 3 days after i14 launched?

Let me take you all down a memory lane stroll...

Day before i14 went live, the salvage market for commons was pretty cheap, uncommons were around what they are worth to a vendor, and rares were really the only thing that spiked to the 500k + mark.

Day 3 after i14 went live, practically ALL of the common salvage was GONE. Uncommons were selling for MILLIONS of influence, as were rares.

And it stayed like that for weeks because all of you 'story writers' and 'farmers' were busy piling into AE to write your 'epic' tale, or farm the pants off your new toon in 3 hours on a 'Rikti Doll' farm (which later turned into a Green Mito Hami farm).

Only recently has the market even began to even itself out, and still the things that were cheap as dirt, are still somewhat expensive to the casual player (So not taking this argument any further than it already has on casuals vs. hardcore vs. content vs. farmers vs. writers).

I sometimes wonder why people buy the 'gotta have it nao' Uncommon and Rare salvage from the market at anywhere between 50k - 2million inf, when you can buy ALL of those from AE with Tickets (-gasp- you mean tickets in mass means i can save a few million?)

Either way, long story short, NO ONE is right, and NO ONE is wrong. Farmers have always existed, you writers are just pissy because your precious amateur content is being overlooked by people who farm. And the farmers will immedately go on the defense to tell you that without them, you wouldn't have a stinking thing in the market, and they certainly wouldn't be around to take the labor pains of getting your content loving butts through those grind levels in just a few minutes of time.

Everyone has farmed something at some point in their game time existence. Don't tell me you haven't because it's complete BULL. It's just like saying you don't lie, which is an immediate lie.

Deal with us, because we certainly deal with you.

And yes, this was written by a farmer, a content player, a MA storyarc writer, someone with multiple 50's and multiple mid and low level toons, a hardcore player, and a rp'er.

    Grow up.
  17. Because it's nice to know, ahead of time, if we need to build a Peacebringer or buy a rocket pack from Grandville ahead of time.
  18. I will forever have your virtual internet babies for this gem of a tool.

  20. Long post may be Looonnng...It's late, I don't know, lol.

Umm...Here's my 2 cents...Considering I kinda scanned quickly over most of the messages.

So, the problem is people not being 'ready' or 'not having any idea what they're doing'.

My idea...which is implemented on 'the other game' and it works quite well.

You form your league, and you Queue up, there should be a yellow outline around every name that turns Green (for Ready) or Red (For declined) BEFORE you even enter the trial. That way you can see off the bat who's paying attention, who's being the jerk-off who's waiting until the last second, and who might legitimately be afk.

That being said, you enter said trial. Regardless of which one it is, a red box would block you from going further (like the red holoboxes in the missions outside that let you know you're about to exit) that will disappear when at least half/all of the league is loaded in. I know there are slow loaders, and even the most patient sometimes doesn't want to wait the extra 2-4 minutes for someone to load in.

Kill mobs, kill mobs, and kill more mobs....

    BOSS FIGHT!!!

And then you'd enter a form of 'stasis', like you were totally invisible and couldn't be hit by anything, and you couldn't hit them, and another 'ready check' comes up. Maybe at raid leaders descretion be able to scale how many need to be 'ready' before the 'ready league' could continue to let the stragglers catch up or something.

    Rinse, repeat.

Sure, it's a few extra steps, but it's things that are already in place (for the most part) and it would make some semblance of sense for ready checks to be in place on iTrials (particularly UG).

Either way, if people are 'Ready Checked' it would let the Raid Leader see where problem children lie, or even those who may not have any idea what they're doing, and give the raid leader the opportunity to explain what to do, or even give the new person the chance to ask before being thrust head first into unexplained bash-kill hell.

Even to give the raid leader the ability to 'ready check' at will may not be such a bad idea, just to keep people on their toes.

    Crazy! Me too!!

    Wait...

I own one of those :-P

Seriously though, anyone who wants to get down on some RP, run Speed ITF's or whatever is welcome to Obsidian Syndicate. I'm a Freedom player, who plays on Virtue too. I like power gaming, RP, and casual, so it's kinda 'whatever goes' in the SG.

Einherjar is based around a concept Elvnsword thought up.

Either way, All are welcome to Obsidian Syndicate.

Global is in the siggy if you want to send an offline/online/in game email message thing.
  22. Awesome.

    Thanks for the clarification
  23. Correct me if I am wrong, please...

When we were told 'inactive accounts' would go premium, it was said that we would have access to Archetypes that would normally be locked (i.e. Controllers, and the other AT's that are 'locked' for premies).

Is this statement true, and if it is, how do I go about unlocking my controller on my premium account?

I have zero paragon points for the store, on that account, so if by unlocking means I have to buy it, then pancakes.

You can pick and choose which of the Uncommon and Rare salvages you want to buy with AE Tickets.

It's Common salvage that's bought in AE, at random.

    Devs: -Shrug-

Beta Testers: -Shrugs too, since the Devs apparently didn't care-

For the record, I buy all my uncommon salvage with AE Tickets. It's COMMON salvage that's a pain in the pancakes to get.
