I myself just picked up every version I was missing on both of my accounts for 65 bucks. 28 of which was the City of Heroes Collector's DVD Edition.


that's 3 months of time added to one account, and 5 for the second(a total of 8 months) for 65 bucks instead of 120. I think it worked out well in the long run. lol

No. So far as I know the buffs should remain the normal default colors. They specifically said something about that recently. I don't have a clue where, but I have the impression that they don't want drive-by buffing to be a problem.

the way the pictures look make it seem like the bubble/effect produced will be colored as well, see the AM effects shown here and the sonic bubble here and here

Why do people find masterminds hard to play? If you can play a simple RTS...then you can play a mastermind! Even if you CAN'T play an RTS to save your life...understanding game mechanics isn't hard.

The problem is that most MMs don't seem to like to actually control their pets or realize that they have other teammates to consider. I don't use binds or macros for my pets and I never have problems controlling them when necessary.

I absolutely love my Msaterminds, I've got 3 at 50, and I'm working on another one(currently 43), and will likely roll a demon/thermal or demon/traps when we get 'em.

Though I do use the number pad binds for micromanaging, But that's just because I hate using the mouse when I can avoid it, camera controls are just inches away from my pet commands, and it makes a good time when I'm dual boxing my masterminds(never on teams)


Although that's not to say that there aren't TONS of horrible mastermind players out there especially the new ones spawning from AE farming, even I'm hesitant about teaming with people I don't already know anymore, and I was a PUG [censored] for years.

it's likely the second one.

Changing your resolution to something bigger than 800x600 will help that quite a bit.

It's generally a good idea to set it to whatever the resolution of your desktop is. The option to change resolution is located in the Graphics and Audio tab in the Graphics section, it'll be the first option you see in that section that has a drop down. in the drop down menu there will be a list of resolutions, there should be one with (desktop) next to it.


Some older PCs may not be able to handle games on higher resolutions, so the alternative is to lower the scale of your windows, which can be found in the options under the Graphics and Audio tab in the User Interface section.

the restrictions place on trial accounts(found here) are there because of the RMT "Gold Sellers" who were, and still are, doing their advertising in game. they would send tells, emails, team invites, broadcasts, the works. now trials are limited to only a few channels, can't join Super Groups, cant' form teams, etc


An alternative for your teaming issue is to ask someone in Atlas Park or Galaxy if they could help form a team by inviting you and your son to a team and quitting, leaving the two of you on a team together.

Most people would be happy to help.

The way it's set up here is a thousand times better than one of those 'go to first post' boards. if there is a thread that you're following, and left off on the last post in that thread when you closed the window, and several more people post in it, guess what? You're left to dig tour way through the thread for where you left off instead of jumping straight to the new posts, that is so much more of a pain in the [censored] than having to press a little 1 or the home key to get to the first topic that you haven't started reading yet.


Edit: granted, the option to be used either way would be best, but if there aren't options like that, the jump to new post is prefered over the open to first post method.
