Well in theory, if they're going through the trouble to recreate how powers work so the colors aren't baked in, it would just be a few extra steps to make it so the animation isn't baked in a well. And a couple more to add the ui and compile a list if animations to include for each power.

Though this is only a theory of how it's being done, and the standard code rant applies. Depending in how they went about discovering how to do it, it could be just as easy and tedious as changing the color, or something much more complicated.


Edit: though I hope they create a way to make defensive toggles transparent, that would make my day and just might get me to play an invulnerable tank...

You said it was a solo group, give all you alts editing rites grab all the TP beacons, and then just swap what beacon you need.

Works great. My brother and I have a duo group. 1 TP'er, with all the beacons. We just pop in whic ever one we need when we use it.

yep, when we only had a couple of close friends in our group and room for 2 beacons heroside this is exactly what we did

because he ran past you to the door...


and if I remember right, they don't even have to make it to the front door, an elevator or any door they can interact with counts as an exit.

There is, but you just have to cancel the old billing plan first, then input the information again to start a month to month billing plan.

I know that most of them are, but they do make some the other way around. Novelty map or not, I'd still like to have one. Kind of how I'd also like to have a nice wall clock with 24-hour markings on it, where the numbers go from 1 to 24 instead of 1 to 12, and the hour hand moves half as fast as on a normal clock. I saw one a long time ago, but now they're really hard to find.

1. It doesn't stop ambushes.
2. It doesn't separate Rommie far enough from the Healing Essence to stop him from getting healed.
3. He starts sliding down the pitch of the roof because... THE ROOF IS PITCHED! Then he falls off and we get all sorts of agro.. you know, from three EBs that are now also getting healed by the Healing Essence.
4. Because of the A frame roof, guess who gets separated in the Line of Sight from Rommie? Yep, the Healing Essence. Which is often harder to kill than Rommie.

you're right, the ambushes don't stop, but they're nothing big to deal with to a real team. I can't remember the last time I died, or someone on the team died to one of those ambushes on the roof.

You're not supposed to pull him back onto the roof, but fight him on the front ledge on the corner, he doesn't slide, because he's standing on a flat surface.


the thing is, if done right, the nictus are still in LoS of Rom, but the buffs/heals are blocked he still manages to eat them to rez, but their buffs/heals don't touch him.

another option is: if the person who pulls rom uses a single target attack, have someone with Hover blast the healing nictus on it's way up to the roof with single target damage to pull it up into the air away from Rom. it's easy, takes little time, and it keeps it out of range. I'm usually the person who does this with my corruptor/crab when my team decides to head to the roof.

One of the benefits to taking out Rom first, especially on teams you're not too sure can do it, is that if you try to take him out and fail enough times that people start to get frustrated and leave, you didn't waste all the time to get to him just to fail, and can start over with a better team sooner if you've got the time.

That said, I still prefer to fight the way there. it just comes in handy to know how to do the other "tricks" properly.

I got the death blow on Recluse with the last bullet revolver temp power, I'd been holding onto the last charge of the power for about a year to do it and it paid off


I'd say that's my fave finisher.

A super villain who's endowed with the power of a titan, being taken out by a bullet... there was just something magical about that.

Just so it is clear, since there seems to be some misunderstanding I have placed no value judgement one way or the other, I just found it "interesting" that they allowed this kind of risk free mass farming of PvP IO's.

Certainly, interesting in the current I14 atomosphere.

PVP IOs are a reward for killing other players, if you're doing an arena event, as the suggestion you quoted... well... suggests... then it's a reward granted during an event, just like it's intended to be. the mass farming of said IOs isn't the intended use, as we're all well aware, farming happens everywhere, and cannot be stopped with any reasonable action.

could it just be a case of the new keyboard "stupid fingers"? especially since you can't see what you're typing in the password field, that seems like the most obvious answer.

edit:

I've had the same keyboard for two years now, and I still get hit with mild bouts of stupid fingers. that wasn't meant as an insult in any way.

I would also like to point out, that at this point, for most good players with good friends and access to global channels, pretty much everything is "risk free" there isn't much left that's a challenge to a real team of educated players.

well... there IS always the chance that some hero(or villain) will come a long and just decide to own you, especially since you have to be pretty close to the base to make it worth the time.
