For COV, Necro/Dark MM seems the truest for a movie 'head' vampire. Pity villains can't get mind control or illusions.

    [/ QUOTE ]
Hmmm ? Villains do have Mind Control.

Fiery Aura, as a consequence of standing out in the sunlight. I've actually seen this one done; he was an old, powerful vampire who was too tough to die from sunlight, and was just burning all the time.

[/ QUOTE ]Did he shut off his toggles at night and indoors?

    [/ QUOTE ]
Hey, it probably took him some time to stop smoldering.
  3. My idea would be either the trenchcoat or suit; a white suit/coat with black accents ( belt, gloves, boots, etc ). Very monochrome and practical looking. Mirrored sunglasses would be good if you don't mind modifiying the head that much.

I'd like to see Rularuu actually make a dedicated push into our dimension which would threaten to tear the world apart like the Shadow Shard.

    [/ QUOTE ]
I'm picturing Rularuu Invasions where the sky takes on an appearance similar to the Shard, with the center being a single vast Eye looking down upon the city.

And besides the normal Rularuu, glowing holes open here and there with Lusca-sized, eye studded tentacles reaching out.

I'm guessing 'lighter' = less effective.

    [/ QUOTE ]

    Yeah.

Although the only reason why that seems that way is because Controllers use their controls more than Dominators since they lack any attacks outside of APPs.

    [/ QUOTE ]
Actually, no; Dominators DO have weaker controls ( out of Domination ) than Controllers. Controllers have an accuracy bonus with them, and they last longer.

I'm just worried, that is MMs get Rad, Poison might become extinct. Anyone wanna put my fears on the path of extinction?

    [/ QUOTE ]
/Poison does have advantages over /Rad. A ranged heal, -special, Noxious Gas, a single target hold, and persistent debuffs. The latter being especially significant, since one of the major weaknesses of /Rad is its dependence on toggles that drop if you get mezzed. An EB that mezzes me for a few seconds on my /Poison MMs doesn't suddenly become undebuffed and slaughter my henchman.

Not that I'd turn down /Rad, mind you; but I wouldn't delete my /Poison MMs if /Rad became available.
  7. Really, both have their attractions, especially after the Dom buffs. Doms have good damage much faster; especially important with the lowest damage sets Ice and Earth. And they require less "preparation of the battlefield; instead of control-debuff-start attacking, it's control-blast. On the other hand, Controllers have more control ( duh ), and buffs/debuffs to help deal with critters they CAN'T hold. My higher level controllers handle those high level near-unmezzable EBs easier than my Doms tend to.
  8. There's Necro/Dark; a vampire and his lesser undead minions. And when Issue 16 comes, make the dark powers red - Twilight Grasp is you sucking your enemy's blood out from a distance, Blood Omen style.

    More Bosses now?

I've noticed some odd spawning recently myself, and heard others complain about it.

    Nerfageddon

    GDN, the Global Defense Nerf

    The Purple Patch

Pet Recharge Nerf ( recent; recharge no longer affects pets attacks )

Pet Summons Nerf ( Controllers can't summon extra pets )

yes that is understandable but then the same can be said that if i use superspeed and then run into a wall i should take damge for hitting a wall at 80 mph or the same with fly and run into a building but we dont in the game. Im not sure though if you are getting my point

    [/ QUOTE ]
We get your point, we just disagree. As for your running and flying examples, this is powered movement under your complete control at all times. We can just assume you slow down at the last moment, rather than running into the wall at full speed.

If you are now going to say that you SHOULD be able to smack the wall at full speed and take damage, you're just being silly.

    [/ QUOTE ]
Go with the silly! I envision collsions while superspeeding or flying resulting in a loud *BONK !* noise, staggering or floating backwards, and a stun animation.

    Post your GUI

    [ QUOTE ]
I'm actually kind of surprised more people don't scale down their GUIs. I couldn't stand how big the default one looks, so I have mine set to 75, and I've even considered cranking it as low as 70.

    [/ QUOTE ]
Quite possibly because they don't know that they CAN. I just hit 42 months, and just found out from this thread.
  13. [ QUOTE ]
What's not working is that the tailor is bugged that it doesn't show the character animating. So you can change the costume, but the body is frozen. No breathing, no aura animating, and no weapon drawing.

    [/ QUOTE ]
Which to make it clear means that you can't see the aura at all ( or at least I couldn't ). It appears when you leave the tailor, but doesn't show in the tailor.
  14. Bots/Trick Arrow is strong and not often seen. Although ( like bots always does ) it doesn't show most of it's strength before Assault Bot and the second upgrade.
  15. [ QUOTE ]
    Well first off, what AT?

    [/ QUOTE ]
Since this is the Corruptor forum . . . I'll take a wild guess and say "Corruptor".
  16. [ QUOTE ]
Bonfire is not super-useful unless you like playing games with the walls and corners, and placing things to blockage enemy ambushes. It's useful, but it's certainly not a big deal to have or not have it.

    [/ QUOTE ]
I'll also add that it's very useful against mezz resistant enemies. Some Lost, Huntsmen, Fortunatas, etc.
  17. [ QUOTE ]
Freezing rain used to scatter the mobs, which hampered AE, did this change?

    [/ QUOTE ]
Not really, they tend to slip and fall a lot. It also weakens their resistance, which increases damage. Perhaps you are thinking of the offensive rain powers like Ice Storm ? Those DO make mobs scatter; Freezing Rain actually helps you keep them together.

By the way; in present game slang AE means "Architect Entertainment"; AoE would be Area of Effect, like you are talking about.
  18. [ QUOTE ]
I'm REALLY hoping that Castle will look into this...and FIX it soon..

    [/ QUOTE ]
Over here Castle mentions that he's looking into Flares.

    [ QUOTE ]
Hot spots that I am paying close attention to are End Costs, Flares and low level play issues.

    ???/Elec

Probably the most synergistic /Elec combo is Mind/Elec; /Elec's single target focus lets you sleep whole groups and kill them one by one without waking the others. Plus it has a cool "Sith Lord" feel.
  20. [ QUOTE ]
I wish power would turn off in the AE teleporter room.

    [/ QUOTE ]

    [ QUOTE ]
Then you'd have to re-toggle all your powers every single mission . . . far more annoying that the occasional inconsiderate yahoo.

    [/ QUOTE ]
It would be nice if the no-powers room had it's own MA mission access though, for those of us who either don't have toggles or are willing to put up with it.
  21. [ QUOTE ]
It has reminded me how tough things are in the teens. My thugs fought through scrapyarders with three worthless punks and a sole enforcer. Demolitionists and Foremen tore us up with AoE until I learned there's nothing that can't be solved with enough debuffs and gang war. Thugs made it through the dockworkers strike, even Sea Witch without too much trouble.

The necro is having similar, although amplified, problems with scrapyarders. Without the debuffs (or the occasional gang war), zombies die too quickly to be healed in time. I'm about to give up and just paper/mayhem my way around the content for a bit.

    [/ QUOTE ]
With my Masterminds, I generally take Captain Petrovich and Lt. Chalmers, with Lorenz Ansaldo for his badge missions. That lets me avoid Vince Dubrowski's Scrapyarder-fest.
  22. Energy Aura now has some toxic resist in Energy Protection.

Fire Armor now has slow resist in Temperature Protection

Invulnerability got several tweaks; strengthened passives are one I remember

Dark Melee's Siphon Life does much more damage and Midnight Grasp was rebalanced so it does more up front and less DoT damage as said; also, Soul Drain was "front loaded" so it gets it's biggest boost from it's first target.

I'm not sure if it was in the last year, but they overhauled the animations for about every melee attack. Generally to make them smoother.
  23. Obscure Blade

    Drones go BOOM

It's extra fun during a Rikti Invasion; the gathering for the end phase fight becomes a mass of explosions.
  24. TP Foe is pretty useful. I use it to get rid of especially irritating minions generally, by dropping them on a Trip Mine. It's also useful for detonating a Mine or Poison Trap that somehow doesn't get stepped on; just grab a random minion and use him for a detonator. It's also very villainous feeling for me : * snag * < BOOM ! >
  25. I think it would be nice if you were given the option to say yes or no to him, and if you said "No" he gives you one last threatening speech. Then the next mission you do, for anyone, he spawns as a nasty Elite Boss and tries to kill you. If you win, he mutters something about Arachnos being warned, which explains why there's no disaster; if he wins he comments that he'll have to take care of the situation himself and despawns ( so no coming back until you finally win ).
