Quote:Here's my speculation: the Praetorian Clockwork King is either:If that was your face, you'd look upset too.
I just hope they explain at some point how in heck this thing is any kind of Clockwork. No Clockwork I've ever seen, Praetorian or otherwise, looks like that. Maybe the marketing team for GR messed up, thinking that Praetorian Clockwork didn't already exist?
1: More in touch with his powers, and reshapes the metal that forms his constructs into a more humanoid looking form rather than leaving them as walking junkpiles.
2: A genuine engineering genius who has built an actual, working army of replicating robots rather than just telekinetically faking it. If he has psi powers at all, they are for controlling/building the Clockwork rather than animating them. -
A "force multiplier" in this context refers to characters with buff/debuff powers. For example, a typical Defender solo is somewhat anemic; a team of eight will squash just about anything, because they'll be massively buffed by each other and their targets debuffed into tissue paper.

Quote:IIRC, it was more like 2.5 times the work of a powerset; not of all powers done already.BackAlleyBrawler mentioned that they are on the to do list but down on said list. First they'll work on the power pools, then epic/patron pools then on VEAT/EATS (pending some decisions). Also BaBs mentioned something to the effect that to do just the power pools is 2.5x the work of doing the primary/secondaries that he just did.
For example, I expect more alternate animations. Eyebeams instead of beams from the hand, etc. The sets that got alternate animations were those that had little else to customize. -
Praetorians: "First one to make a crack about goatees gets it."
Hellions: "Even the forces of evil need wannabes."
Hellions & Skulls: "Yeah, the other villains make fun of us. But WE have girlfriends."
Arachnos: "Alright, whose bright idea were helmets without eyeholes?"
Crey: "All your base are belong to us! Literally; we bought a controlling interest."
Hapless Citizen: "Maybe if we had some haps we wouldn't get kidnapped all the time." -
So far I've just been customizing one slot per character; then skipping to the next to see what I can do.
My Earth/Storm Nerys, who is supposed to be a Sidhe now has powers that are all purple and red and blue, with crystal themed Earth powers. Her purple and blue crystal golem looks quite cool.
My Earth/Sonic Voice of the Earth got dark yellow crystal Earth powers mostly.
My Fire/Storm Hound of Souls got red Steamy Mists, yellow-orange Hurricane, and Dark Fire themed blood red imps with black fire.
Crystalflame my new Fire/Cold has white/pale blue fire effects, for a "white hot" look. -
MM pets also tend to need some micromanagement in Mayhems, unless you want them killing crates when they should be killing PPD.

Was annoying but with the higher polys it can also make some older machines lag. But at least the tradeoff is also slightly better ground geo and better looking terrain. -
I understand that they were going to fix the bug that made much of the landscape look faceted, and it seems fixed most places unless my memory is deceiving me. But in the Mercy Snake caves all that rock and debris still has the faceted look.

So far, I've mostly been playing with my new lowbies; another round of Power Proliferation was a big thing for me. Rad/MM, Necro/Therm, Fire/Cold, Claws/Elec...so far. Customizing power colors really adds a lot of flavor to the game.

Males NPC citizens in missions "run around in panic" without using their legs. They just sort of glide. BaB in-game ( on VU2009 ) when hearing this took about 30 seconds to figure what was wrong and said it would be fixed in the next build.
Sometimes when zoning MM pets will vanish from the pet window and you will be unable to control them. Hitting them with a targeted heal or buff seems to fix it however. -
Quote:To be fair, it's kind of irritating to be playing a character with healing powers and getting yelled at for "letting" a guy die when he decided that he just HAD to go aggro a whole different roomful of nasties. The empath said "I can't keep you alive if you're not with the team."

Quote:A bug that's been mentioned in BaB's official animation bug thread, Post#80. And I also found it in Darrin Wade's mission where the Lost are experimenting on hostages; some are using that "tricorder" thing and it levitates like you say.BABs, I would also like to point out a small animation error thats right up your alley that is reproducable on live. With the Merc MasterMind powerset, the "Medic's" gizmo that he holds floats in mid air when he uses it. Happens every time and also happens on test. Any news on this glitch?
(basically his hand moves, the device does not and hangs in the air as well after use for a good second)
Supposedly we are getting a costume token for each unlocked costume slot. -
That's pretty much standard. If they waited until they stamped out all the bugs, made all the tweaks they'd have to push back release pretty much indefinitely. After all, there are always bugs; Live and Test. They fix some, something else breaks; they fix that and another bug pops up, etc. So they just wait until the bug level becomes acceptable.

Obscure Blade is the name of my first CoX character, and my in-game global. A Broadsword/Regen scrapper on Guardian; the blade part refers to Broadsword, and Obscure because I was brand new to the game. When I signed up to the boards I made it Obscure Guy; but about the time the forum move was announced decided that Obscure Blade just sounded better.

Quote:Just avoid the farms and it can be quite fun.*shrug* I chatted with him and he seemed nice (and he _was_ nice - the whole group was), so i accepted and went to a building in Talos and there we went into a Computer thingie and indeed, it was "Mad XP!", but also boring. My first and last time in this AE - thingie.

Plant/Earth would also work well for a renegade DE creature. Or you could tint the Plant powers weird, and choose the Lava skin for /Earth with a color like green or blue for a pollution/radioactive waste empowered baddie.

My Ill/Rad/Fire controller tore right through them. /Rad debuffs mean that I didn't even realize that they had resistance and defense against Psi damage until I read about it elsewhere. And like Bill Z Bubba says, their drains ( and other nastiness ) are only a danger if they hit, and they spent all their time attacking the Army, feared, confused, held or with debuffed accuracy.

Quote:In fact, I'll quote one of your own posts:They've NEVER released an issue to Live on a Friday. Issue 2 (as well as Issue 6) was released on a Thursday, and caused lots of problems for that weekend, but not being able to do instanced missions wasn't one of the problems.
So judging from history, probably on a Tuesday or Wednesday. -

Personally I've been going through my characters and using their free respecs since Issue 16 went into closed beta. I figured that there'd be a free respec, since there has been one with every Issue since I started playing.
