I beat it on my Peacebringer. Basically, I'd fly in Nova form away from the gate, fire at something to aggro it and fly back. Then I'd blast the enemies who by then would be coming for the gate; then shortly thereafter the group I shot at would show up as well. All that AoE knockback was usually enough to keep them from escaping. Tedious but it worked.

Just stick it in True Grit instead, and you can benefit from it at much lower levels.

Quote:While I was solo, that's more or less how my Ill/rad succeeded. She had both AoE holds, Phantom Army, and Spectral Terror and could disable/distract all the enemies in aggro range of a glowy so they wouldn't interrupt her. Without having to take the time to kill everything. The five minute mission I've only managed once, and only thanks to my teammate. He was an ice tanker, and nothing could touch him. He somehow memorized where all the glowies would be and he ran over and clicked them. Nothing could interrupt him because every attack missed.
Quote:As well, there seems to be a bug with script triggers that's been going around at least since the latest patch, and I suspect since I16 went Live. A LOT of scripted even triggers fire far, far, FAR too early. Like, I'll hear the end boss's dialogue as soon as I set foot inside a huge instance, and he's nowhere around me. -
Fire/Kins are good soloing as farmers, at high levels. Ill/rads are slower but more well rounded, get stronger earlier, and become very strong end game. A high level fire/kin tears though maps of Demons and such rapidly; a good enough Ill/rad can kill things that would stomp a fire/kin, but won't be as fast against lots of weaker enemies.

Meant to be failed? I didn't know that; I've only done it once, and actually pulled it off. It helped to be on my Ill/rad controller. Still; "5 minutes?! AHHH!"

I'm still occasionally seeing NPCs run in slow motion, like in a time warp.
I saw three glitches yesterday, related I think. An Outcast Shocker in Steel Canyon instead of jumping atop a raised area walked up a long invisible stairway starting in the middle of the street. And in the villain cape mission where you defeat all the Longbow agents, I ran across a Longbow Eagle that gained altitude also by walking up an invisible stairway. Shortly thereafter he walked instead of flew in midair. -
I took my En/En blaster to RWZ and it's oddly amusing to hit them with an area attack power like Energy Torrent or Explosive Blast; you can make several of them wobble not just the target.

I was playing +2/+3 on my 34 SS/WP last night. Freaks were pretty easy. Carnies were harder and managed to kill me once; I think it was the energy and fire damage ( no Ringmistresses were around at that point ). CoT were also middling hard, again because of the non-smashing/lethal I think. And a map of Arachnos killed me twice before I reset at minimum difficulty to clear it ( it was a timed mission running out and I just wanted it over ). Massed Mu lightning sucked out my endurance, mainly.

Are there more new powersets besides Demon Summoning and Dual Pistols?
Are there any new ATs? -
Get the first two attacks; good advice for any Blaster primary because you can fire the first two while mezzed these days.
You may want to pick up Power Boost; it boosts both the stuns and the defense debuff from Rad/. And if you get Aid Self that as well. -
Hmmm. I'd switch Thunder Strike and Swift to get an extra strong attack earlier. Weave isn't very useful; you have no little other defense to stack it with and it's weak on its own.
My present planned power choices are:
Lady Stormwraith:
1 : Havoc Punch, Dark Embrace
2 : Jacob's Ladder
4 : Murky Cloud
6 : Air Superiority
8 : Thunder Strike
10 : Obsidian Shield
12 : Swift
14 : Fly
16 : Dark Regeneration
18 : Health
20 : Stamina
22 : Cloak of Darkness ( with a Karma -kb IO )
24 : Build Up
26 : Chain Induction
28 : Hasten
30 : Death Shroud
32 : Lightning Rod
35 : Oppressive Gloom

In my opinion, besides the rest of the game luring people out, part of the reason so few people use MA right now is that the farmers drove everyone else away. They clogged the system with huge numbers of farms, they made simply being in the same zone irritating, and they created the impression that MA user equates to incompetence. So when the farmers moved out of the MA, there wasn't anyone else left.

As I recall, there's a mission with a Sky Skiff where the boss actually comments ( paraphrased from memory ) "Bet you're wondering how we got this thing inside a building, right?"

Another vote for more slots.
Larger bio space; after all, many people will want to explain why their hero/villain went to the other side without erasing the rest of the bio. -
Costumes and content.
As someone with multiple one person SGs, either the ability to stay in an SG cross-faction, or the ability to invite your own alts without dragging someone else into it.
Merged markets.
Back options.
Longbow revamp. Make them less generic; like the PPD. -

Doc Buzzsaw, off camera: "Ah, so that's where those went!"
-
Off-camera Freakshow: "Damn it! Let's find another girl, I KNOW that I can throw one all the way through a wall if I try hard enough!"
-
Bots/Storm is also up there, with the kb spamming bots.
-
"Um. It looks like our new teleport system still needs some work before it replaces the tram. Could someone...scrape off the parts sticking out?"
*or*
"Hey! Watch where you throw that building!" -
But if he/she does put procs in, then some accuracy should be put into Freezing Rain ( which I note you did in your build ). It checks for proc activation upon the Rain being used, and before the Rain debuffs enemy defense.
-
The powers I've taken on mine so far:
1 : Spectral Wounds/Gale
2 : Blind
4 : Deceive
6 : Hover
8 : Swift
10 : Steamy Mist
12 : Hasten
14 : Health
16 : Freezing Rain
18 : Phantom Army
20 : Stamina
22 : Flight
24 : Hurricane
26 : Spectral Terror
28 : Snow Storm
30 : Thunder Clap
32 : Phantasm
35 : Tornado
38 : Lightning Storm
I have a Stealth IO for full invisibility combined with Steamy. Thunder Clap is there in large part to help with Containment once I get to epics; besides, most enemies are minions anyway.
Quote:Personally I use Tornado all the time. It does good damage against kb resistant targets, and renders single tough non-kb-resistant targets nearly helpless.Tornado is something you probably want to try and then quickly respec out of it ..
It's a pet that moves at about sprint speed and goes for random targets to knock them around. It can even knock guys close to another spawn and aggro a lot of guys who will then go for you.
Tornado can also fear mobs but for that you have Spooky.
Tornado does a good job on stationary targets like Malta gun turrets for example. Or if you're fighting AVs or cornered mobs.
If in doubt, don't use Tornado. -
Quote:Being Freakshow, perhaps that's barbed wire or something and doesn't rip much.Edit again: And are Clamor's fishnets stapled to her legs? What happens when they get a rip? How does she get into fishnets in the first place with a giant claw for a hand? Inquiring minds want to know.
Quote:I remember reading somewhere (thinking it was the Freak group info page), that the lesser freaks feed and take care of the freaks who have blades, hammers ect for their hands.
*shrug*
