And if they also got the same buffs from rez powers like Elixir of Life or Conduit of Pain that players do; then I'd have an actual reason to take a rez power other than Howling Twilight on my Masterminds.

Quote:Vanguard is using experimental technology; from Paragonwiki:At best we have to setup massive arrays to do the same thing (Oddly, Vanguard seems to break this rule and may be a sign of portal tech improvement on our side.)
Quote:The war walls that divide up Paragon City employ force fields based on Rikti technology. Vanguard has begun to employ a prototype 'rapid response' portal system designed after Rikti teleporters and many heroes benefit from an emergency teleportation system that sends them directly to a hospital when their life signs reach a critical level. Once they get there, they find themselves rejuvenated by hospital beds that repair damage at a cellular level using a system inspired by the Rikti transmogrification vats. -

Quote:Here's a demorecord version that someone posted on Youtube.Ooh, now that would be fun. If only because I lost all my old screenshots of the Rikti Motherships hanging over the skies of Paragon. But that still begs the question... why?

Perhaps you need more memory? I used to get terrible lag from even going near the market and worse from accessing it; about half the time I'd disconnect. After I upgraded, my problems vanished.

Generally I use them; I'm not obsessive about it though especially on a brute with Fury to feed. On my DB characters I generally end up skipping Weaken and Empower since that lets me skip Nimble Slash instead of taking all of the attacks. I may pick it up again though with Ninja Run to make skipping travel powers less irritating.

Quote:BaB actually just made a comment about the multiple capes issue here, as it happens:I'm afraid you are going to be a bit out of luck on this part. It's been made clear that the devs are trying to stick to a one-animated costume part per avatar system. This is often given as the reason on why there's no animated hair available to players.
Quote:I actually tested this before the break. Using similar NPC models with different number of cape FX systems. Here are the results:
- 100 NPCs - 0 capes = 48% loss in frame rate
- 100 NPCs - 1 cape = 75% loss in frame rate
- 100 NPCs - 3 capes = 92% loss in frame rate

Dual Blades/Electric perhaps? It's better since they added Energize; and if you like beating on Rikti, /Electric is the way to go.

Personally I'm planning on moving characters both ways. My pre-existing villains will probably mostly stay put though for concept reasons; I tend strongly towards the massacres-families-and-eats-people style of villain. Not really welcome in Paragon. I do have an idea that some of my more mercenary villains will go hero after "being paid to do so as part of Manticore's controversial Cash for Crusaders program". And some of my newer characters have backgrounds designed to allow side switching.
I do want to try out the ATs on the other side, so new characters will probably if anything tend to go to the opposite side they would pre-GR. Dominators strike me as being a good idea on the EB-light blueside, for example. -
Quote:Praetorian Rikti?Well, it's better than Praetorian Overlords, I guess >.>
Edit: Does this mean the whole Praetorian motif for GR has been slashed and replaced with Rikti?
Failure: Not Tolerated. Punishment: Agony Booth. Ten Time Units: Duration.
Ship-Leader K'irk: Terminated In Future. All Crew: Ascend One Rank Level. -

I find it adequate to get around with without adding slots to Sprint or Swift; rather like skipping travel powers on a character with Quickness or its clones. As for using Hurdle instead of Swift; keep in mind that in actual combat Swift is quite useful, especially for meleers.

Well, I only log in to play. I see plenty of people playing.
Do not try to understand the thinking of Marketing; it leads to brain cell death. That's where They come from you know; once the brain cells all die you'll be one of Them too. -
The classic solution for building Fury with a low recharge set: Brawl. Especially now that it costs no endurance. I have high-20s EnMelee/Dark and EnMelee/Elec and they do fine.

Freedom. Although it's also widely considered one of the less desirable servers in terms of player culture. Virtue is next biggest, and is the unofficial roleplayer server. Infinity and Justice after that.

I'd like a different animation for Blazing Aura; a port of the Hot Feet animation for example. Or just one that doesn't do the puff-puff-puff bit. The constant visual pulse-pulse-pulse gets on my nerves very fast. These days I get around it by coloring Blazing Aura black so it's not so in-my-face; but I don't really want all my /Fire characters to have black auras.
Another thing I'd like is a way to color Dark Miasma pure white; I was really hoping to do that with my Ice/Dark. -
Perhaps a "Supernatural" Booster, so as to be a little less narrow.
Energy or fiery wings would be cool; I'd like something like Tyrael in Diablo 2 has. -
There are supposed to be unlockable Praetorian Clockwork costume pieces. Given that Praetorian Clockwork is going to be found in ( of course ) Praetoria, and you'll presumably need GR to reach Praetoria, it seems likely that the Praetorian Clockwork costume parts will be accessible only to people with GR. And I doubt that will be it.
It makes sense to me; having people run around with really cool looking costume pieces will serve as advertising for GR to those who haven't bought it yet. I know I've been asked by people "How do you get a cape like that?" "Buy the Magic Pack." -

Nope. She started out evil; so that makes them an Evil Legacy. Accursed hotpants from the Forbidden Plateau of Leng or some such. They probably whisper evil thoughts in her mind or something, trying to lure her back to the Dark Side.
