Quote:Actually, a fair amount of the time you just end up with the choice between two hunts. Especially noticeable in low Talos, with all the "Kill X number of Warriors/Tsoo" missions.I don't see why you want hunt missions gone since you can always opt to not take them. In City of Heroes, you always have two choices for missions - instance or hunt. It's simple enough to just not take the hunt.
That would certainly be far less aggravating. -
That's...odd. I've never, ever had that happen. My standard pattern is when I hit level 5, I run to the Hollows to talk to him, TP to Pocket D, hop out in King's Row and talk to a contact. Never if I go to talk to him on my own has anyone else sent me there. Same with Peebles and Temblor.

OK, a few wild guesses:
Ultra Mode of course
Power Pool Power Customization
Some more power proliferation does seem a possibility
A good chance that any new content will contain Going Rogue teasers
The already in-game Praetorian missions just might get some model upgrades if they have the new versions ready
Restoring some of the old bugged maps to the AE
Power Customization for AE critters
An NPC that appears to anyone who spent time over at the Other Game and mocks them with "Fool! You came back! They ALWAYS come back! MWHAHAHAHAHA!" -
Quote:With three of these go-see-them missions, David Wincott in the Hollows, Jim Temblor, and Stephanie Peebles in Striga you can avoid the go-see-them missions themselves just by going there and talking to them first. You can't avoid meeting them, but you can at least choose your timing so you don't need to cross half the zones. It's less irritating to go from Atlas, to the Hollows, then back to Kings Row than it is to go to Kings Row, then back to Atlas, then the Hollows, then back to King's Row.Virginia then decides that I must immediately go talk to Jim Temblor in FAULTLINE.
Probably my least favorite would be the one where you are sent to the Kings Row PvP contact all the way from Brickstown; usually by some guy in a far corner. -
/Dark and /storm should work well. And in the latter case, you can make all sorts of Stormtrooper jokes.

Ninja/Dark and Ninja/Storm are the two best Ninja combos I know of. I don't know how well a Ninja/Therm or /Pain would do. They keep the Ninjas alive, and let them do what they are best at; deal out lots of melee single target damage.
/Storm and /Dark are also very good with Necro/ as well. My Necro/Pain and Necro/Therm are lowish level but strong so far. -
Nude Bomb temp power
Blood
Minion melee, no matter how amusing beating on an Outcast with a flailing Hellion would be
Pistol melee, no matter how much the fans of a certain movie want it

Quote:With one exception; Hamidon can kill them.From my experience, the wiki is correct- no buffs to the PA (they are invincible anyway, so that leaves the dmg and accuracy IOs you can slot into them).
I have; Disruption Field works fine. -

Quote:I just copied that list from the opening post of the Post Going Rogue Info Here thread in the Hero Con subforum. Which pretty much collects most of what we know about GR.I'm only aware of the last three bullets of this list. Can anyone give a citation for the first two?

Quote:GR is supposed to be like this:Wouldn't that be the last issue's Beta though? The one in which the only 'closed' part of it was that you had to have access to City of Heroes/Villains?
Beta waves:
* Friends & Family
* Hero Con attendees
* 5 year veterans
* Loyalty Program participants
* People who pre-order Going Rogue -
Quote:Yes, you can. Colorable crystal and lava skins, as well as coloring the stone style skin.Earth Control: Hate the graphics; you can't customize these like you can Stone Armor, can you?
Quote:Also, I just can't get into doms, which is weird since I have more controllers than anything else and it should be like a high-damage controller. Though, I haven't played them since the update, so I guess I should roll another one. Any suggestions?
And I find Doms much more fun to play since the update. -
Tanks: I can't stand the low damage.
Defenders: Same reason.
Electric Blast: Low damage to pay for a secondary effect that is useless without a specialized build.
Stone Armor: Only available on Brutes and Tanks; I can't stand Tanks, and the effects of Granite Armor work against the nature of Brutes. If they ever port it to Scrapper I might change my opinion.
Cold and Thermal, before they were ported to pet classes so I could solo properly with them. -

Quote:In case you don't know, by putting henchmen in defensive/follow you are putting them in "Bodyguard Mode", which is why you can survive running into groups on a low-hitpoint character like a Mastermind. Damage is divided between you and any of your pets in Bodyguard. Very useful.I fell in love with bot/dark, I may not be the best at controlling the little buggers but setting them on defensive/follow and running into a group of creatures so I can spam twilight on them seems to work.
That link by the way leads to part of Paragonwiki, which is also very useful. -

Voltaic Sentinel is untargetable. So there's no way to hang a toggle or shield on one, unfortunately.

Quote:And they also front loaded the damage more on Flamethrower ( also mentioned in the patch notes ).They also decreased a the activation times on a bunch of powers (including all three cones) which really helped the set flow smoother:
