I'm planning for DP/Dark; I'm saving DP/Storm for Going Rogue.
-
Sometimes if you wait around they'll stop running in and out of the elevator doors and start following you normally. But the only reliable means I've found of preventing the bug is to summon them fresh after I've entered the mission.

Quote:Our knowledge of what is coming out in GR is still very sketchy. There's supposed to be a good amount of content though according to War Witch. As for a new AT; those are quite rare. And I don't know how practical a Melee/Buff-Debuff character would actually be. Yes, I know Tsoo have them but keep in mind that they both come in large numbers, and lose.I personally thought there would be more content in Going Rogue. I was hoping for an archetype that was Buff & Debuff/Melee. Oh well. I'm not sure that a few new missions and being able to change sides is really enough for an expansion. I was hoping for new Archetypes.

Bots/ or Thugs/ /Storm might be what you want. My Bots/Storm is especially fun in Oranbega maps, with all those CoT critters crammed into narrow corridors trying to bull though the Zone of Death in front of me, filled with lightning and fire and rain - only to bounce off Hurricane right back in.

Quote:The closest I've been able to get to the layered look is a dress/skirt bottom, under the Warror belt-thing from the Natural Pack. But that means you need to use a Robe top.it is the skirt that is most of the trouble. we just dont have any of those one skirts. crap i forgot what kind of term they are. do you get what i mean? the poofy skirt with the staked layers kind of. crap i cant think how to describe them.

Panel 1:
Character 1: "Hey, I just saw a bunch of Goths hanging out front."
Character 2: "I'll run those losers off!"
Panel 2:
Character 1: Sits around drinking.
Character 2: Runs past screaming in the background, chased by a huge armored guy with an axe.
Panel 3:
Character 1: "Oh, look over there! Vandals!" -
My wish list:
Scrapper: Ice armor, ninjutsu.
Brute: Broadsword/katana, ninjutsu, regen.
Stalker: Battle Axe. "Executioner's AXE!!" <HACK>
Controllers: Traps ( Wormhole + Tripmines = BOOM! )
Dominators: Illusion, Dark Assault
Blasters: Dark Assault, a somewhat modded Martial Arts/Superstrength for a secondary
Tanks/Defenders: Don't care
Corruptors: Psychic Blast
Masterminds: Sonic, Rad -
I'd like a version of Blazing Aura that doesn't have that irritating pulsing to it. Even a simple port of the Hot Feet animation would be nice.
I'd like a version of Quills where the flying quills themselves are invisible.
I'd like blast attacks to have beams-from-the-eyes alternate animations.
Another vote for alternate Medicine Pool animations. -
Quote:Huh. Guess that probably means they beta test Demon Summoning at the same time as Issue 17, instead of by itself like Dual Pistols. Or, they think they can get Issue 17 out fast enough for Demon Summoning to go through beta after it and still get out by April. I was expecting them to beta test Demon Summoning first, personally.Hey, closed beta on Tuesday. Fun times.

Quote:On Freedom ? Probably mostly it was the wrong time. However, one difference between heroside and villainside is that people don't hang out in Mercy much, as opposed to heroside where people often hang out in Atlas. Mercy is something of a dead end, while Atlas is more of a hub.Ok thanks folks. I tried out the MM last night and I love it actually.. Just the area itself is not the greatest lol. and the lack of people =( I didnt see many on the red side. is that natural or did I just come in at a bad time?
Also, Freedom has a hefty population of powerlevelers who hop up to higher level zones, which I would avoid if I were you. Powerlevelling, especially for someone new to the game means you end up with a high level character you don't know how to play. -
Some people ( not me though ) like to have their characters all on one server.
That people like free transfers? And giving people what they like tends to attract business? -
You mean the choice between Kalinda and Burke when you leave the tutorial? They are quite close to each other; they just have different missions. Unlike heroside, where it's a choice between the Atlas and Galaxy zones.

Quote:No, that's me too. I was just on my Ice/Storm in fact, whose normal attack method is to use Ice Slick ( sometimes Hurricane as well ) to negate the alpha; run in and Thunder Clap to stun minions, and toss out a Hold on a Lt. Since she has Arctic Air, by the time the stun wears off they are typically confused, slowed and so on.I find it extremely useful even on its own, as long as you don't expect to be able to alpha-strike the majority of the spawn. If you've got any other method of surviving other than "I have to stun everyone with my opener or else I'm dead" then its a great power. My Illusion/Storm uses it all the time, because I've got other tools in my kit. Hurricane and Spectral Terror both allow me the leeway to then stun all the minions. Taking a bunch of minions out of the fight is golden, especially at higher levels where minions get some pretty nasty powers. My Ice/Storm uses it to great effect too. Ice slick and Arctic Air and freezing rain and other powers really let you get in and leverage the power.
It is trivial to perma too, so as long as you can get in close among your foes, you can keep all of the minions out of the fight forever. I love this and rely on it often.
But, maybe that's just me. -
At the moment all my MMs have Stamina, although some could no doubt scrape by without it. The main difference for me between MMs and most non-MMs, is that I don't see it as burningly urgent to take it at 20, or to slot it up right off. On my /Storm MMs, for example, I get Hurricane first even as endurance hungry as /Storm is - Hurricane is that good on an MM.

Quote:Just to clarify; it's more than just influence/infamy, despite what the Issue 17 announcement says.On the other hand, we're getting at least 2 of the most-requested features in I17: serious graphics upgrades and influence/infamy mailing to alts.
Quote:Emails can be sent to local as well as global names now.
Emails with attachments can only be sent to a Global name.
Valid attachments are Enhancements, Salvage, Recipes and Inspirations if they are tradeable (buyable on AH). One per email. Inf can be sent alongside item.
There will be 20 mail cap to inbox. Mails sent to full mailbox will bounce (bounced mails can exceed cap). If you are at the cap you cannot send mails.
Items with attachments cannot be deleted until attachment is claimed. They can be returned to sender. -
It's not as good as it was; they semi-broke it when they fixed the overproccing problem. But it's still useful.
-
They've had such a switch for ages; look in Options, under Miscellaneous I think.
-
I've been playing since Issue 6; and for the whole time, the game has been "doomed". Doom here, doom there, doom everywhere.

Quote:This one? There was another interview the other day that I blew off linking here, too. Where was that one... Hrm.
I find this interesting from that interview:
Quote:Having said that, if you just pick up and walk away from everything you’ve accomplished as a hero, there are consequences to your decisions. If you’ve made a name for yourself in the higher echelons of Paragon City, what makes you think you have any street cred in the Rogue Isles? -
No, it's a ranged attack if it is long ranged and uses the ranged attack modifiers; it's a melee attack if it is melee ranged and uses the melee modifiers.
