One of the first things I did with my two new Demon Summoners was mail both of them a few hundred thousand for start up influence; the one not yet in a VG also got Halloween Salvage mailed to him.

As said, without much of a market on test this bug apparently just wasn't picked up on. They can't delay release of an Issue to fix a bug they don't know exists.

My eventual plans for a Demon/Poison are for a character who got his powers through a blood transfusion from a demon. Which will explain why he can spit and breathe poison instead of just flinging it.
I also plan a heroic Demon/Traps who will be a scientist who is investigating magic and demons rationally and scientifically. He didn't learn those mystic runes out of a dusty tome or sell his soul for them - he calculated them! -
Well, almost. Being mostly defense based they do suffer from pre-SO flimsiness. I found it helped to take Pummel on the Spiders and Air Superiority on the Widows for some low level damage mitigation before then, and the branching respec made getting rid of them later easy. But yes; the SoA clearly benefit from the years of design experience the Devs got between Kheldians and SoA.

Quote:Been like that for as long as I can recall.[*]Tailor - the tails of a trench coat automatically set to Long>Basic when entering a tailor session with a trenchcoat with tails set to something other than Long>Basic. Changing it back to the correct selection before purchasing a costume does not result in a charge.

That's a common bug with newspaper/police band missions that are active when a new issue comes out. The Boss gets genericed, and the enemy group and level gets changed; sometimes even to a group that isn't supposed to exist in game like Siren's Ghosts. Which can be awkward when your level 20 guy shows up and finds his mission full of Storm Elementals.
-
Quote:I can certainly see that argument; some of them looked neat bug or not. However, something like this needs fixing:Wait, that's a bug? No! Don't fix that! It looks a lot better like that. It throws in a little colour in what is otherwise a basically monochromatic, boring tileset. Seriously, look at the tileset and tell me if you see anything that isn't a shade of red or a shade of grey. The blue-filled tanks surprised me VERY pleasantly when I saw them, because they brought the tileset to life.

I've made a Demon/Pain, and Demon/Storm. Respectively, the Master of Agonies, a mage who uses the mystic energies of pain to tear open gateways to hell and empower his minions. And Damia Hellsblood, daughter of a heroine named Stormlash with of course storm powers; Damia in teenage rebel mode went slumming in the darker occult circles, and at a demon summoning discovered that the demon in question was her real father. It turned out her mother had her own wild youth...although not as wild as Damia, once she started taking lessons from Daddy. Which, when Stormlash showed up following up leads about dark magic activity, resulted in a family reunion that went really, really poorly.
For the Demon/Pain, these are my tentative power choices:
Master of Agonies:
1 : Summon Demonlings, Nullify Pain
2 : Lash
4 : Sooth
6 : Enchant Demon
8 : Corruption
10 : Share Pain
12 : Summon Demons
14 : Health
16 : Hurdle
18 : Hell on Earth
20 : Stamina
22 : Suppress Pain
24 : Hasten/Crack Whip/Enforced Morale?
26 : Summon Demon Prince
28 : World of Pain
30 : Hasten/Crack Whip/Enforced Morale?
32 : Abyssal Empowerment
35 : Anguishing Cry
38 : Painbringer
I'm going to rely on Ninja Run for travel. The same goes for Damia:
Damia Hellsblood:
1 : Summon Demonlings, Gale
2 : Lash
4 : O2 Boost
6 : Enchant Demon
8 : Snow Storm
10 : Hurdle
12 : Summon Demons
14 : Health
16 : Freezing Rain
18 : Hell on Earth
20 : Stamina
22 : Hurricane
24 : Steamy Mist
26 : Summon Demon Prince
28 : Thunder Clap/Whip Attack/Hasten?
30 : Thunder Clap/Whip Attack/Hasten?
32 : Abyssal Empowerment
35 : Tornado
38 : Lightning Storm -
Quote:Of course; if they waited until all the bugs were fixed we'd probably still be waiting for Issue 17 in July. The standard for release isn't "no bugs"; it's "a tolerable level of bugs". For example, I notice they still haven't fixed the liquid filled tubes in Arachnos bases, which are filled with blue not red stuff; but that's hardly game breaking so they aren't going to delay release for things like that. No doubt in a week or three there'll be another patch full of bugfixes.Sure it´s a new issue and there are things going to be broken but a lot of the stuff was known and not dealt with.
The only two I know of are changing Mastermind caltrops to only take targeted AoE IO sets instead of those and PBAoE sets; and they removed the timer from the last mission in the Spy Hunt arc. The latter being an exploit fix apparently.
Yup. Every time a new Issue comes up I hear moans and groans about how incredibly buggy it is and how the game is doomed, dooomed because of it. -
I'd like a tweaked version of Lightning Rod; for a control power version, I'd make it so it does minor damage, knockdown and stun when you teleport in, instead of being a damage power. That would certainly be different for a control set; almost an inverted Wormhole.
-
I like it. I like Ultra, I really like Demons, I like being able to e-mail stuff, I like the animated tails.
Quote:There's supposed to be a color change option for that in Options. The new Market Interface is ugly. Really, really fugly. It's like someone looked at Steam, said "Ooh, grey makes everything look good" and then made that out of it.
Yes, they do need to make the numbers bigger. As for why; if you look, you'll see that there's significant open space now even after you 6-slot a power; that's led to speculation it has something to do with the upcoming Incarnate system and special enhancements. -
Just move Wormhole up so you get it at 12 instead of 26 like the other main AoE controls and I'll be happy.
-
Quote:I don't know about that; if you are taking them for the resistance debuff you don't really need many slots. Especially if your secondary has -Def. One accuracy, one endurance say.I wouldn't take all of the personal attacks - you will easily burn youself out of end and slots trying to make 3 attacks effective PLUS your pets and your secondary.
It does occur to me that taking all three would be a good idea for Force Field due to the lack of other debuffs; a Demon/FF might be surprisingly nasty for an /FF. -
And that's why you don't make Mr Bocor mad. Unless you actually like having your soul bound into the pavement.

Quote:Yes, several people including me have mentioned it in the Open Beta Bugs section, Tailor subforum; a leakthrough from GR I'm sure, like Clockwork Gloves a while ago. There seems to be a new color pattern for bottoms called "Syndicate."
As an aside, I also like the Dragon pattern that is or was available for the backs of Baron jackets. -
And as a nerf, since it was applied even to pets that had no AI problems from +recharge, like Lightning Cloud and Fire Imps, because they were supposedly overperforming.
