    ???/Storm

    Fire/Storm: Spectacular and powerful.

    Ice/Storm: Slightly less spectacular but somewhat more survivable.

    Energy/Storm: Not the best from a min/max DPS perspective, but with all the knockback great at feeling powerful in a "get away from me, you insects!" way.

    I've had fun with all three.
  2. You could also make an Ice/Mental Manipulation blaster and color the /MM effects white for a "waves of cold" look. /MM even has -recharge.
  3. Also, the most common psi-resitant enemies you will run into are robots - and as an Earth/Psi you just happen to have Mister Smashing Damage running around with you.

    I recall quite a few complaints when it came out that is was "pre-nerfed" because of PvP and inferior to the Defender version; I haven't really looked at it since though. I have heard people say that if/when Corruptors get Psi Blast they hope that it's the Defender version.

    Actually no, they removed the ability for Power Boost to affect Knockback quite some time ago. Yet another PvP related nerf as I recall; it was the same Issue they nerfed Acrobatics.

    Arachnos has quite a bit of Toxic damage actually. And another hole at high levels would be Longbow -Resistance grenades, although at least they don't stack anymore and send you into negative resistance numbers.
  11. For Doms? Electricity Control if you have Going Rogue. Before that, Earth Assault. And there's the Alpha Slot for level 50s this Issue (although all ATs can go for the Slot). Outside of those I don't recall any changes for Doms since the Great Revamp.
  12. Fire/Energy has somewhat more synergy since Power Boost from /Energy will help it quite a bit more than it will help Earth/. Earth's patches/pseudopets don't benefit from it any more than they do from Domination (not that they really need it of course). Since Fire/'s biggest weakness is low control the benefit of that is obvious. And the three Imps and Hot Feet help make up for the single target focus of /Energy.

    Yes! Very irritating, especially since you can't autocomplete Safeguards. Although in my case the villain in the elevator was also invisible; nothing but weapons, the bag and glowy eyes were there.

    The Winter Event running long never bothers me. It's not like the Halloween event; after a while nothing but nighttime gets oppressive, and the zone events can bug people who aren't interested. The WE is pretty unobtrusive.

  20. For about the last two days it has taken me several tries and usually a wait of several minutes to access anything on the forums. Usually the attempt fails and I get a connection timed out message. I've heard people on other forums complain of this; it seems a major problem for some and nonexistent for others.

    Hopefully this attempt to post a thread will work...

    Edit: OK, this is weird. The problem vanished for a minute or two as soon as I posted this thread; now it's back.

    Edit 2: The problem vanished again - I assume temporarily - as soon as the first edit made it though. But that took six minutes more than the time stamp for me to see.

    A very strong combo. Earth/ doesn't get much from Domination because it uses several pseudopets, but it doesn't really need it.   23. I understand however that it checks if the procs fire before the Rain applies its defense debuff, so make sure you slot in some accuracy if you are going to add procs.
  24. Another person here who already had everything but the Party Pack. It's not on sale so there wasn't anything to tempt me. Not that the Party Pack is all that tempting.
  25. The indiscriminate use of heavy weapons would become much more morally acceptable. Hose down a crowd with flamethrowers or explosives and only the bad guys get hurt. You can even nuke a city and kill nothing but the criminals! Civilians (or anyone else on your side) are just fine, and there's no property damage except maybe a scorch mark that disappears in a few seconds.

    Well, unless they are near a bank. Then cars and dustbins and so forth will explode. But civilians nearby are still untouched.
