All of my /Fire characters have only -4 kb; that's enough for the great majority of content, and I just use a breakfree for the occasional high-kb boss. That said, none of them are high enough for Incarnate content, I'll probably add more if they ever get that high.

As for your Bane, recall that VEATs have high Defense, which means that it's harder for KB to stack, or hit at all. They do better with less -kb than an all resistance set will.

It isn't the damage, it's the stacking -res secondary effect.

Power Boost shouldn't as I understand it affect either the FFG or Scorpion Shield, but should work on Maneuvers and Combat Jumping.
  4. I'd drop some of the less useful powers, Vengeance & Aid Other/Self for example to fit in whip attacks. They'll stack with the -res from Freezing Rain and make things die even faster.

Power Boost won't affect most of your /Trap abilities because they are pets/pseudopets. It won't help Scorpion Shield either since it has a resistance component.
  6. Corruptor Scourge not only adds damage, but since it is triggered by the HP of the enemy dropping past a certain percentage it is more effective in late in fights and against powerful high-HP enemies.

I haven't tried it myself, but I've heard that DP/TA works OK. /Traps is of course good.

For some reason that line just tickled me.

    Before Combat:
Ice Thorn Caster: They said Praetoria was shades of gray. This looks awfully blue to me.
    Guide: Seriously?

    Combat Start:
Guide: I'm going to let them kill you.

From the Whispered Rumor halloween tip. Never played it myself, encountered the line on Paragon Wiki but found it amusing enough,
There was also "Gimme your Thorn Blade, you aren't worthy to have it!" in response to a dumb comment, and:

"You know, this water tastes really good. "

"They told us not to drink the water!"

Two months more seems an awful long time after that for them to wait to even drop hints.

If you are interested in taking personal attacks, the Demon Summoning whip attacks with their -res effect are better than any other MM primary personal attacks (as well as being seriously cool). They are the only ones I bother to take. They are also more customizable, coming in both Dark and Light versions. As for Life Drain; since you intend to go /Dark there's little point to it since Twilight Grasp is much better as a self heal and debuff.
  15. Ouch, another one. I hope that isn't a sign of something bad happening behind the scenes.

The only unknown is BABs, and it should continue to remain unknown.
Actually, I understand he posted elsewhere that he was fired and that it was a complete shock to him.

Someone had a neat little photoshop of the idea. Wish I could find -that- lying around somewhere!

You probably want TK Thrust; after the Great Dominator Rebalancing it was changed from a minor damage knockback power to one of your better sources of single target damage. Mental Blast is good too. As for the immobilizes, Chain Fences is good for keeping everything in your drain patches and for a little extra endurance drain, while Electric Fence negates knockback and stops bosses/many AVs from running around (and both function with little or no extra slots, useful in the post Inherent Fitness world). The snipe is fairly skippable I suppose; it might be useful for plinking faraway targets and sucking the spawn into running onto your Static field patch.

Yeah, it can be that good.
The DoT from Acid Arrow doesn't interfere with the sleep from Static Field? That's my biggest worry with that combo.
