Judging from the screenshots downloaded from the Sneak Peak today by Master Zaprobo, the answer is that they are "the essence of defeated enemies drawn forth from the Well of the Furies"; since at present Incarnate content means fighting Praetorians, it makes a certain sense that they are Praetorian critters.

IIRC someone mentioned elsewhere that some of the older costume pieces seem to have been given a new high-resolution look, like the medieval armor.

My biggest hope now is i21: Rularuu Eats Marcus Cole (All of Them)
Issue 21: Rularuu IS Marcus Cole! So add "Worst Cosmic Horror" to your list...

I recall when the Issue with Dual Blades was announced there was a fairly long period when people complained that they didn't like the looks of the swords; and then the devs announced "Oh, by the way - Weapon Customization!"

Longbow Helicopters. Somehow getting onto an Arachnos-run air transport service doesn't strike me as the brightest thing a hero could do.

  6. I have quite a few black and red villain costumes, and some heroes too; it's a stylish combo. And I tend to use the skulls a lot too (which I mention since they too are a cliche villain attribute); to quote a certain other player, "I detect skulls - Blade is here."

"Pride" is besides the point. What matters is what looks good to me.

Probably related to the way they can target and kill enemies that phase out, like Tsoo Ancestor Spirits.

Why? There's a number of corruptor combos that can mezz bosses.

And on top of that, one of the things that can introduce new bugs - is fixing other bugs. It's pretty much a guarantee that such a "bug fix Issue" would in fact introduce brand new bugs. Fewer than it fixes no doubt, but the reaction of people to bugs introduced by something advertised as a bug fix Issue probably would even more negative than their normal reaction. I can just imagine the DOOM on the forums about it. "The Devs are so incompetent! They put out a bug fix Issue, and ruined the game!"

(like they have done with posi tf).

Would you as players accept this as a good issue or something like..seriously wt* is this?
The latter. People want new things. Most people would talk about how tiny the Issue was, or not even consider it an Issue because "there wasn't anything in it". I know this because we already get complaints about how little new content is released.

And bugfixes are something that should be done on a continuous basis; not as something done all at once in place of new things.

No they can't. Many are more AoE oriented; as for /Fire specifically, the DoT breaks sleep.
  13. Winds of War (Merc/Storm MM)
    Deus Ex Machinist (Bots/Storm MM)
Thought Policeman (DP/MM blaster - and naturally, a Praetorian Loyalist to the core)
Steel Mage (Grav/Psi Dom, homage to Tin Mage)
    Mr Murder (DP/Dark Corr)
    Hellforge (Bots/Thermal MM)
    Mad Science (Mind/Energy Dom)
Divine Wrath (Fire/Elec Blaster, and a Fire/Shield Scrapper)
    Steel Spider (Crab/Bane)

Yes, she also shows up in Praetoria in Antimatter's arc.
  14. A Fire Controller/Dominator with Tactics running - which increases the already hyperaggressive Imp's aggro range and sends them off to find new friends.

Sure there is; you can easily perma-Sleep a whole group with Mass Hypnosis and kill them one by one in complete safety. And all of Mind/'s powers benefit from Power Boost.
  16. Mister Fist for my SS/WP brute - it's so perfect, so obvious...and I got it.

    Hellqueen and Winterqueen.
  17. Probably finally get around to all those games I got during the Steam Christmas sale.
  18. I got the Pack in the Pocket D giveaway a few days ago, and made these:

Taurus Malleus the War Mace/Elec cyborg minotaur (a product of an anti-Hamidon super soldier program, like Bobcat). And Skyfyre the Fire/Storm Corruptor, an elemental spirit summoned and bound in animalistic form (so he can have multiple radially different animalistic costumes; it laready has a second, lion headed one).

  20. A few comments.

You don't really need Gloom; like most MM attacks it isn't much compared to your henchmen.

You might consider picking up Tactics instead of or in addition to Maneuvers (replacing Gloom or Power of the Phoenix, say); the Confuse protection can be a lifesaver against CoT Succubi (and who knows what the devs will add in the future).

You can skip one of the -KB IOs, there's very little that two will protect you from that one won't. If you are going to use more than one -kb, make it three or more of them.

The Performance Shift +End in Power of the Phoenix will be nearly useless there, since it'll only fire when you use the power, and even then only a fraction of the time. Put it in Stamina in a third or fourth slot.

You might want to put an Achilles -resistance IO in Grave Knights.

You might want to put up a +resistance unique or two for your pets to toughen them up (and it'll stack with your /Thermal shields).

You might want to pick up Oppressive Gloom; disabling all minions near you is a nice power, and you'll likely be going into melee with your pets since you have an aura heal.

    Protean does that I think.

Yeah, that was a pain. One thing that made it worse than it needed to be is the present bug that sends ranged pets into melee; I kept almost winning and then my pets would run up to him or a clone and burn in the lava. Then he'd regen while I resummoned and buffed and then killed off the clones that spawned while I was doing that.

    Ice/?/?

I've been enjoying my Ice/Psi Shatterbright. Stacking -recharge is nice, as is Drain Psyche to both make up for the endurance cost of Arctic Air and to regenerate any damage that gets through the soft control of Ice/.

That reminds me of the time a tank told my Earth/Storm to not do anything that generated aggro. An Earth/Storm IS aggro; it just can lock down and debuff everything so it doesn't matter.

Here's the thing; this is a discussion thread started to discuss an interview in which nothing new was actually said. There's nothing there to have a constructive conversation about. People are going to nitpick and complain because there's nothing else to say, really; the people not in the mood to complain probably aren't going to post anything since there's nothing for them to post about.

OK, here's my feedback then. If you want constructive conversations about these kinds of news releases, make sure that at least one or two new hints or details is included in the interview. That gives people something to actually discuss besides old disputes or what wasn't said. People would spend pages speculating about what it all meant instead.
  25. From a Vahz boss in a "stop the arson" Safeguard side mission:

"It feels weird to be using explosives that aren't wired to a walking corpse."
