For one thing, Paragon City is in a high magic zone on top of a bunch of ley lines and such (which IIRC is also why Oranbega was built there); Praetoria isn't.
They are presumably still there in the tunnels under the nuked, Hamidon-gnawed remains of Praetorian Paragon, perhaps never disturbed by Baron Zora and definitely not forced into action by a Rikti invasion of the tunnels. -
The Defender will be better at granting Defense, but the /Traps Corr will be better at pretty much everything else. And most of the powers from /Traps are actually quite good. And flexible; /FF is pretty much a one trick pony.
Web Grenade: Debuffs recharge as well as immobilizes, and easy to spam.
Caltrops: Good for procs I'm told, and can mediate damage; enemies hate the Caltrops and try to run out of them, and while they do that they aren't attacking you.
Triage Beacon: While good on most Masterminds, not so much on a Corr or Defender.
Acid Mortar: A nice debuff that can be stacked pretty easily. Will also take some aggro for you.
Force Field Generator: Status protection, a little defense, and not a toggle; nice.
Poison Trap: A nasty debuff that occasionally holds enemies; not to be confused with the pathetic /Poison version.
Seeker Drones: Very effective alpha eater, even when it doesn't stun the enemies. Drop it on them, them open fire when the enemy wastes their best attacks.
Trip Mine: Nice bonus damage, useful for setting up beforehand or when "toe-bombing" while in combat.
Time Bomb: Bleh; worst power in the set. Anything it can do, Trip Mine can do better. -
/Traps and /Storm are the best two secondaries for an Energy/ Corruptor I think. A major reason being that both use several persistent debuffs, so the KB doesn't matter that much since the targets stay weakened even as you throw them around.

It's good. As for pros/cons, there's all the psi-resistant enemies of course, and naturally fire does more damage as always. And it has Drain Psyche instead of a damage boosting power, which is both pro- and con-; yeah, you don't have a damage booster, but it's Drain Psyche!

Sadly that was an error.
Quote:However, the fact that the 28th was being talked about as a date for the merge does imply that it's coming very soon. This is a case of a staged announcement that should never have been published. We often times craft messages well in advance and stage them for publishing when the news needs to be announced. Yes, April 26th was a date we were talking about for the Global Server Access activation, however it's not the actual date. Rest assured that because of the potential extended downtime, we want to give everyone at least 5 days to prepare for the Auth merge/maintenance surrounding it.
Apologies for any confusion about this and we're getting the post pulled down right now. -

OK, just to make Beastyle feel better, now it involves comic and hero/villain culture:

Flash is OK as a panic button, or to stack magnitude on a boss.
I've heard that sometimes someone will post to an old thread then delete their post, putting it back on the front page without any apparent reason. -
Does in work with your Pet powers too, or just your personal attacks?

For theme song, there's also this old CoX vid.
There's all sort of possibilities.
A basically peaceful machine race that inherited their alternate Earth after humanity died, and Primal Earth picked a fight with them.
A race of machine religious fanatics, who consider organics soulless abominations. Filthy meat creature!
A machine race that just doesn't care; it wants to efficiently exploit the planet's resources, and humans are just inconveniences like rats. Not enemies to be hated or negotiated with. "Humans detected in sector 6. Eliminate infestation." -
Miss Skinless my Dark Melee/Regen scrapper had her powers recolored red for a nicely bloody look. Her blood spurts from her body constantly (Integration), and she can direct it as a weapon. She can even drive her blood into others and drain out their own (Siphon Life). And Touch of Fear isn't her drawing on the Netherworld - it's the effect of a screaming insane woman with no skin coming after you! "Share my painpainPAIN!!"
Her backstory is that she was dumped into a vat of corrosive mutagens that gave her super-healing that "heals" her body to the state she was in when she got her powers - namely, with her skin burned off. All her exposed flesh is red colored "bio-organic", with the rest of her outfit white with lots of "wraps" parts, for a bandaged effect. -
Outside of the rare PvPer there's little reason to care if you get "left behind". And someone who avoids doing the trials to the point of burnout is more likely to actually get the "shinies" they want, and to actually care when they do get them. And the point of the game is to have fun, after all.

IIRC, there was someone who named their character "a little kitten" just to create a silly effect with NPC chat. For a character of mine:

Well, being Mother she keeps her Milk of Human Unkindness in the natural storage compartments.
Or to paraphrase George R. R. Martin's Haviland Tuf, perhaps she "merely wishes to reassure the audience of her mammalian ancestry." She's definitely not one of the Lizard People! -

A great power. But frustrating when you use it in teleport suppression zones like Pocket D and expend it without going anywhere.

I must have been lucky; I just ran my first Lambda with a PUG and we won.

Not when you are up against the really powerful enemies. Sure, Superman can laugh off armies and easily withstand the attacks of most enemies, but when Lex Luthor zaps him with an orbital Kryptonite beam or some such he's in a world of hurt.

I find it an excellent power, a huge hold great for emergencies. And endurance doesn't "crash", it just stops recovering for a short time.

Plant/Psi is great, as is Fire/Psi. I also enjoy my Earth/Psi and Elec/Psi. Ice/Psi is also supposed to be pretty good, with all the stacking slows
Just remember that since the rebalancing the old guides are seriously obsolete. TK Thrust for example is a hefty damage power.
