  1. Illusion/, /Storm, /Traps; when a new powerset comes out one of the first things I do is pair it with one of those if possible.
  2. As I said in the other thread, in my opinion it's the skill of the players and what you already have that matters. If I'm on a team of controllers and tanks, a blaster is going to be more welcome than another tank because it's damage we are low on; not safety. But if the team already has 6 blasters, then something more tankish or supportish would be nice.

Well, so what? Masterminds aren't automatically villains anymore, and there are plenty of animal controlling heroic characters in fiction. Neutral minions makes it easier to make your character heroic or in the middle without having to come up with an elaborate explanation.
  4. What AT is desirable mostly depends on the competence of the player and what you already have. If I'm on a team full of Controllers, then a Blaster is welcome because more damage is exactly what we need. If I'm on a team that already has 6 Blasters, then I'd rather something else show up.

Especially if like CoX it has long since paid back its original investment. The ones that get shut down are usually the newer ones that look like they'll never pay back what was spent to make them. Long before they shut the game down they'll go to maintenance mode, just letting the game run with no new content (barring anything the players make for AE) or updates; just running the servers doesn't cost much.
  6. They probably want to test it on Beta first. They might release it on the 23rd on Beta.

When you say we do not listen to feedback, it is disingenuous. You can accuse us of many things, but accusing this team, the team now, the developers who have been working on this game for over a year, of not taking player concerns into account it is something that is, quite frankly, hurtful.
And inaccurate. I've seen you guys react to feedback. Try not to let such nonsense raise your blood pressure too much.
  8. Another vote for Thugs/Time being better. Besides being an all-round better set, Thugs Enforcers add +defense, which will stack with the +Def from /Time.

Yes it works; I find it amusing on my Thugs/Thermal to summon a double Gang War and set them all on fire.
  9. What should have happened it that your entire team falls over dead, with your combat logs recording things like "A Bacterium impacts your skin for 1578 smashing damage! The Sun burns you with Sunlight for 27451 energy damage!"

    Tights!

This, especially. And masks, as mentioned. Many of the already-existing patterns are quite good, very superheroic; they just look too much like skin paint. Making them look like actual tights (and upping the resolution, of course) would be a great improvement.

Oh; and there should be a metallic version; both for the tights-with-skin outfit, and a full coverage version that doesn't have the seamed/jointed look of the in-game Metallic option.

/Psi, to deal with all those heavily psi-resistant enemies; especially robots who are weak to smashing.

    <snip>

City of Heroes: It will be released during the timeframe of Beast Mastery.
Soooo, Beast Mastery will be released during the timeframe of Beast Mastery? At least they aren't makiing a promise they can't keep.

You’ve probably noticed that Dominators didn’t get new powers this time around. We have exciting future plans for the archetype that we can’t talk about right now that will most likely occur post Issue 21. So, stay tuned!

I admit, after waiting so long and watching everyone else getting multiple powersets while Doms got nothing, it would take something really spectacular to rate better than "well, finally."
  16. Here's the pic that started the discussion:

That seems to me to be attributing a SPECTRE level of underhandedness and information control to Marketing, which has never impressed me with their cleverness. It's also rather pointless; they don't need to fake "accidents" to release videos or screenshots. If they wanted to release a screenshot about Beast Mastery to tantalize us, then they could just haul off and do so without pointless fake accidents. They have just gone ahead and released screenshots and promo videos in the past.
  18. /Storm is an obvious choice, for a "power over nature" theme.

Right on both counts; they are making Darkness Control first, but Beast Mastery is slated for sometime after I 22 but before I 23.

You can. The Galaxy City beacon goes to the echo of Galaxy now and they have no reason not to make Dark Astoria work the same way.
Plus, as a cute trick you can use the base teleporter to go to the Galaxy Echo, then take the Echo tram to Ouros; if you don't have the Ouros portal you can get it then by grabbing the explore badge.
  21. And from the thread about the I 22 preview, we have this:

Looks cool. But we'll have to be a little patient.

Also, no we won't add ferrets, so stop typing it now...Yes you, I'm looking at you.
  22. Two ideas I've had for a while:

Mind Control Mastermind; his/her minions are mind controlled heroes. They'd be watered-down-for-balance versions of character classes; say, three "scrappers", a "corruptor" & "controller" for the second tier, and a tank for the third tier pet. Ideally, you'd be able to make their costumes in the costume creator. Person attacks would be psychic blasts; level 18 flavor power would be some kind of confuse.

Mad Scientist mastermind. Has for pets three Experiments, two Assistants (with, say, lightning and freeze guns), and the top tier pet is your Creation; I've always pictured it as something resembling the Doom Cyberdemon.

    huge ones.
Just so! Consider Codpiece...an actual Doom Patrol supervillain.

  25. Hmmm, makes me wish I could make a Grav/Traps; you could phase the enemy, walk right up to them, set up a trap field as they glare helplessly at you then walk back around a corner & turn the phase off. BOOM!

Personally I like it, the idea about phasing doors and ambush sites is brillaint. But it does have the locked to a surface problem now. Any thoughts?
It's not locked to a surface:

    Underlining mine.
