A quick look at my CoH mob spreadsheet shows 41 AVs/Heroes resistant to Smashing, with an average resistance of ~33.537% and 37 AVs/Heroes resistant to Psionic, with an average resistance of 37.703%.
While admittedly my spreadsheet IS missing info on a few AVs/Heroes, it DOES list the vast majority of them.
From this I personally take it that while Yes, there may be a few more AVs/Heroes resistant to Smashing, there are almost as many with Psi resist, and they tend to be slightly more resistant to Psionic.
Ultimately I don't think resistance is enough a factor between the two damage types to push Illusion's damage above Gravity/Earth.
It really does look like it's JUST the indestructible pets.
EDIT: To mention that yeah, Gravity will likely lose a lot of ground once APPs are factored in. Basically any grav controller will/would drop propel for the faster APP attack (so they have time for secondary powers) where Illusion will just be Adding the dps of the APP attack where gaps in their attack chains already exist for it. -

You guys are such art tramps.

Actually, I'm an art virgin when it comes to COH-related artwork.

Me too Manoa... At least I'm on Alex's list for sketches... at like #97 or something.

I like this very much, but I think there's a problem with it...
**If I recall correctly**, Mobs cheat. If they have ANY endurance, they can use their attacks, regardless of if they actually have enough end for that attack.
Without a -recovery power, they'll still be able to launch an attack every time they recovery any amount of endurance. A Drain over Time wouldn't prevent this, as they would have already recovered the end (and likely fired off their attack) before the drain can steal it.
**Again this is if I recall correctly**
Since Blackout is strictly an end drain power, I would say add a guaranteed -100% Recovery for 15-20seconds or so, and some chances for -Rec to a few other powers. -
OOO OOOO OOO OOOO!!!!
Oathbound
Oathbound is a case of "He thinks, therefore he is." Though he doesn't know it, he was killed accidentally by an immensely powerful Illusion/Empathy controller (I don't have a name for him). Stricken with grief over this, the controller created an illusion and embedded it with as much of the young man's fleeting consciousness as possible, effectively resurrecting him, though there was significant gaps in Oathy's memory.
Eventually when the controller died, he imbued his illusion with the entirety of his psychic energy, prolonging Oathbound's life indefinitely. Oathbound fights crime and injustice, mostly because it's all that he can really remember ever doing.
As far as his appearance goes, there are a few things that can't be depicted in game. He's kind of an amalgamation of a Judeo-Christian Seraphim and a Hindu diety, in that he has six arms and six wings.

Notes about Oathy's personality...
He's outwardly very reserved and somewhat aloof, sometimes to the point of seeming cold, or apathetic. He has a dry, sarcastic sense of humor, and rarely actually laughs at things he finds amusing or humorous, tending only a slight, sly smile. -
If the queue is still open...

What I was thinking of was doing a modern day take on them where after the war most of them (that are still alive) stuck around as Heroes helping the Japanese government and people, but there is one or two who are villains now.
I wasn't planning on making the entire group Samurai based, just one character. (I'm also one of what seems like 3 people in the world, who doesn't like Ninja, so I doubt I'll make one of them.) -
Indeed.
At some point I could have sworn there were replies, but when I checked the thread there was only the first one I had already seen. -
(Not sure if this is technically the place where this belongs, but given that it's costume and character related this seemed like the best place.)
While reading over the CoH timeline I see that the Japanese had their own metahuman Division, Imperial Wind, during the second world war. (Opposite England's Dawn Patrol, and Germany's Storm Korps.)
I'm interested in potentially creating a storyline for this group once the Mission Architect comes out, and figured I'd go fishing for Name, Costume, and Background ideas for NPCs (bosses/EBs/AVs) to flush out the group. (I'll of course make a Samurai themed character.)
I'm just curious what other people could come up with. -

Another idea that hit me whilst playing an Arachnos Agent gone Rogue, using her knowledge of Arachnos against the large foe to slip into various installations with stolen identification. Epic Archetypes going 'Rogue' or Vigilante.
Would anyone get behind Arachnos Agents and Kheldians as Vigilantes, for players who have broken the level 50 barrier for the specific side? Or should Vigilantes have their own 'Epic' AT?
[/ QUOTE ]
I think a significant part of the population (and the Devs as a whole) might be opposed to allowing current EATs as vigilantes, simply to preserve their "uniqueness."
That said, I have a Psi/Dev blaster who is a former Fortunata, and I think it would be cool. -

Is this new?
Galaxy Archon
[/ QUOTE ]
If yer still talking about this picture, it doesn't have the UI in it.
He looks like a regular Ascendant Archon to me, complete with the huge gun.
[/ QUOTE ]
Indeed.
If it was named Galaxy Archon then it was mislabeled when coded at some point (and thus you should bug it), because the mob in that image is very distinctly an Ascendant soldier, not a Galaxy soldier. -
Shouldn't that be an Ascendant Archon?
Council Ascendants are The Center's personal guard. They're very rare, and don't even show up until the mid 20's I believe.
The first time I ever saw one was the mission to defeat Maestro in Striga Isle.
They do occasionally spawn as the end boss in Council Radio/Newspaper missions also.
These are the Galaxy soldiers. -
no idea... Soonish I hope, despite not having the money for it. -

how? printscreen does nothing or takes a picture of me in front of the tailor.
[/ QUOTE ]
When in the costume editor or at the character select screen it won't automatically save the image to your folder, it will just copy it to your clipboard.
You have to hit Print Screen while you're in the costume editor, then paste into Paint/whatever program you use, and save the file manually. -
I'd love a piece for my main, Oathbound, but he's a very complicated figure, so no worries if that doesn't work lol.
He's a very serious character, most of the time. Very dry sense of humor, sometimes stingingly sarcastic.
Little note... while there's no way to represent in game how I envision him... his appearance a kind of amalgamation of the Judeo-Christian Seraph and a more traditional Hindu deity in that he has six arms, and six wings.

They don't even have to be tech. I use some of the pieces in more mundane, and even magical costumes.
The Cyborg face detail works really well as a gold mask for my Pharaoh, and the HUD actually looks really good on specter/wraith type characters if you color the primary Black so it's (near) invisible, then tint the inside white... looks almost like a screaming face. -
Thank you.
Ok here's what I came up with.
Mesmer
Swords
Only thing that might be problematic is The Valkyrie belt, I used it because I really like it, and it's about the only piece I could add to give a little flare.
If you don't have the Valkyrie set (Mac Special Edition $19.99 and comes with a free month of play time so the costume items only really cost you about 5 bucks) You could use either the Peak or V belts instead.

Also... I was going to say that JLove mentioned that in teh magic booster (soonish) we'll be getting a "cloak" type item (which was what he added instead of full length skirts/robes.. cause he couldn't get them to look right) but now try my damnedest I can't find that post...

OK... nUb question, but now do i take a screenie in the costume creator?

So either I'm crazy, or It got modded/deleted because we're not supposed to know about it yet.
Was going to say that we can hope this new item would work... -
Problem being that even a sleeveless trenchcoat blocks you from using the Puffy sleeves (or even the regular Sleeves option for gloves because it's not it's own category of top,and Trenchcoats as a whole block a lot of those options.
They really need to get that split into With and Without sleeves categories. I can't tell you how many times I've wanted to use the sleeveless trench and the lil flared sleeve gloves.
I'll go see what i can come up with for the OP and post anything that looks decent. -
Picked up the Valkyrie Set and updated Oathbound's Costume.
Linky
It's a real amalgamation, with bits of the Samurai, Roman and Valkyrie gear, plus the Winter Event Halo, and if you look closely you can see the Valentines Day Heart pattern on his tights(chest).
