Pain and Shields were i13 huh?

    Bed Ideas

    Having the exact same problem.

    -IF-

The ceiling/roof is low enough, you can easily just make the columns at the corners go all the way up, basically using a 4-post bead instead of a true canopy.

The only thing I can find that would make a (relatively) decent top for the canopy is the SG Altar/Podium thingy..... but that's a damned big bed.

    Ice stalkers.

I like Hibernate, and think the Spirit Sharks are the stupidest power(s) in the entire freaking game.

I'm still against having Hibernate duplicated in both Ice Armor and the PPPs.

  6. Oathbound

    Ice stalkers.

There are no instances of powers being duplicated within an Archetype (outside of VEATs, which are a special case).

So Hibernate would -have- to be replaced.

If you look at most t9 stalkers powers it is all some kind of godmodes....hmmm

    [/ QUOTE ]

Same is true of Tankers, Scrappers and Brutes. Yet there are still sets like Dark and Fire that don't get one.

Not say I would be strictly against* Ice for Stalkers getting one, but I doubt that they would given that the only instance of Ice Armor in game Doesn't.

*Frankly I think MOST Stalker sets really could have used more thematically "assassinish" powers. As is they're all (except Ninjutsu) just basic armor sets with Hide.*
  8. Oathbound

    Ice stalkers.

I would rather they sub in another another power, even if it was only situationally useful, than effectively have 1 less power to pick from.
  9. Oathbound

    Ice stalkers.

I just doubt the Devs would give /Ice stalkers a godmode. At some point they decided Ice was good without one, and I can't foresee then adding one now.

(Also, IMO, I'd rather have something more..... Stalkery.)
  10. Oathbound

    Ice stalkers.

Well, I generally view Hibernate as an escape type of power, so I'm thinking maybe......

Snowblind - PBAoE Placate -tohit -defense, 120s Recharge (variation of Smoke Flash)

Of course, as a Tier9, it should have a bit moor Oomph, so I tacked on a -ToHit -Defense debuff, to represent the blinding effect of the light glaring off the snow/ice.
  11. I could definitely get behind spiffying up the defeat animations of Key mobs, such as Archvillains, Elite Bosses, Giant Monsters, arc specific NPCs, etc.

If however, it was on every mob, or even a large portion of mobs, it would get old fast.

  12. Honestly, I don't mind Consume and Dark Consumption having longer recharges to balance out the damage and low end cost...

But THREE TIMES LONGER? Seriously? I'd be happy if they just cut it down to 120s.

Also, only 6 out of the 12 armor sets have an End Recovery power. (If you count the Stalker versions of the armor sets separately it's only 8 out of 18)

    Going off SpaceNut's suggestions...

I don't see why they would get rid of Frozen Aura...Spines has Spine Burst.

    Frozen Fists
Ice Sword (though honestly, if ported, I would hope they give the set one sword and that's it...I hate having multiple swords with Ice Melee and Fire Melee myself)
    Frost
Assassin's Shatter (Encaser them in Ice and the ice explodes, more visually appealing)
    Build Up
    Placate
    Freezing Touch
    Greater Ice Sword
Frozen Aura (now they might consider getting rid of FA and put in Ice Patch...but I'd hope they kept this as the port because...)

    Hide
    Frozen Armor
    HoarFrost
    Wet Ice
    Glacial Armor
Ice Patch (...moves it from Ice Melee, to Ice Armor)
Permafrost (at this spot right here, because you change it to Resist Slows/21% Resist Cold/21% Resist Fire/10% Resist everything else Passive, to make up for losing CE's -14% dmg aura...I chose these numbers as I figure that's 75% of the tanker version)
    Energy Absorbtion
    Hibernate

    [/ QUOTE ]

I like this idea, mostly because it keeps Frozen Aura, and I love my Stompcicle.

Hibernate still needs replaced though. Stalkers get it in the Leviathan Mastery, so they can't get it again in their Armor set.

Which means we need something suitably Tier9ish, but not TOO powerful...

Point of order - BaB is one of the "Surviving Eight" (a bit of a misnomer considering that Ms. Liberty and several other heroes also survived the War) but is he really a card carrying member of the Phalanx? I've always assumed he was an independent since the Regulators more or less dissolved and he retired.

Positron - _She Blinded Me With Science!_, Thomas Dolby

Justin Sinclair - _South City Midnight Lady_, The Doobie Brothers

    [/ QUOTE ]

He does currently work with the Phalanx.

The thing about the Surviving Eight I've always found funny is that there are in fact, at least 9. Vanessa DeVore was a member of Alpha Team, and did survive the assault.

She gets glossed over though, cause she's a villain.
  15. Of all the characters in the game, the only one of them I tend to associate any song with is Ghost Widow.

Hellion shouldn't be named Hellion when it requires badges from the Skulls too.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I'm thinking this would be to represent the gangs fighting each other. Kill Skulls to get the Hellion badge, kill Hellions and get a Skull related badge. Or something like that.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Just suggest that because it has both Hellion and Skull badges, wouldn't make sense if you kill/arrest members of both gangs for one of them to get the title of the badge.

    [/ QUOTE ]

None of the 4 badges listed have to do with fighting Hellions. 2 are awarded by beating up Skulls, 1 is an exploration, and 1 is an Arson badge from mayhem missions.

Seems fitting thematically, you beat up Skulls, and set fires.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Ahh I was getting them mixed with the Damned badge. Well then maybe add the badge for killing Damned to make Gang Buster or make a separate accolade for each which might be a little much, people would start asking for "Lost" for 2.5% psy.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Which could be fine, figure you could have 1 for each damage type. (In fact I would argue it would be a bad idea NOT to.)
  17. If you're one of those who believes Infinite Choices = Infinite Realities, then there's an infinite number of non-undead Belladonna Vertano's out there... (as well as infinite number of DEAD dead ones, and UN-dead ones, and ones that never existed in the first place...)

    Oh yeah, and On Topic....

I don't think they would be introducing two new characters (Desdemona/Maelstrom) for the side switching stuff, if they were going to have existing Signature Characters go rogue.

Ghost Widow cannot change sides unless all of Arachnos does. (See "Oh Wretched Man," Seer Marino, villain level 15-20.) If she tried, she would cease to exist. No, not even if Lord Recluse himself changed sides.

    [/ QUOTE ]
As I recall, Ghost Widow is loyal to Arachnos, not Lord Recluse. If she became convinced that Recluse's megalomania was harming Arachnos, I think she'd turn on him. Of course, it's hard to imagine a "good" Arachnos, considering their Fascist roots...

    [/ QUOTE ]

Ghost Widow should just off Recluse and take over Arachnos already. She's a better character anyhow.

Plus, then she would be in control of the very organization that she's bound to for so long as it exists. Which could be seen as being better for Arachnos, since she's bound to the service of the organization, she could never do anything that might cause it's downfall. Unlike Recluse, who *could* just up and one day decide he wanted to wipe it out and start over with a clean slate.

    It just makes sense.

  20. Not likely.

If they added alternate versions of one set, then they would have to add alternate versions of all the other sets. (And don't think they wouldn't, because yes. They would.)

Ultimately I think Willpower's as close to a Shieldless Shield Defense set as you're going to get.
  21. [ QUOTE ]
Ah, thanks, yea that's important info, the pet summon was info I couldn't find on Mid's or in game CoH. Pseudo pets cause me trouble sometimes when they're not given their own tabs in the powers.

[Also, just curious, why exactly would a pet summon (summon: rain of arrows) have such a high accuracy.Does that have any determining factor on the amount of times it hits the mob? (I know RoA can possibly hit 3 times)]

    [/ QUOTE ]

I honestly have no idea, but different pets even have different "Accuracy" on the summon. Most Permanent pets from Control sets have a Summon Accuracy of 1. Fire Imps and Dark Servant have a summon Accuracy of 2. RoA is 1.6, all of the Traps pseudo pets are 1.0 as well.

Pet's summon accuracy doesn't effect the Power's accuracy in any way that I'm aware of. Imps may be 2.0 to summon, but they're still only 1.0 for their attack.
  22. [ QUOTE ]
Also, as a pseudo pet, I can't determine RoA's effective mob cap, is there one? anyone have that data for me real quick?

    [/ QUOTE ]

RoA has a 16 target cap.

It checks accuracy, for each mob, on each Tick, so I'm not sure if like "real" storm powers it can potentially hit more than that (for greatly reduced damage).

Because it checks accuracy on each tick, it also can miss one or more ticks against your targets, meaning sometimes you get all 3 ticks vs a specific foe, sometimes you only get 2, sometimes you only get 1. This functionality has the potential for lowering it's total damage. (Where with FA you're guaranteed full damage against all targets you hit.)(Resistance notwithstanding.)
  23. RoA's listed 1.6accuracy is for the pet summon. The pet's attack which is the actual damage portion of the power is the standard 1.0 accuracy.

Also, for the record, I think FA's cap [u]should[u] be increased to 16.

I was simply explaining the possible rational as to why Cone damage powers have lower target caps, as was requested/speculated on by the person who I was replying to.
