  1. Honestly, if my main (Oathbound) were to have been on Omega Team, He wouldn't have bothered leaving a letter.

He's Telepathic, he'd just "say" goodbye to anyone that mattered to him, and march of into obscurity without a second thought.
  2. Prison.

What? I'm Superman *****. No crappy cell's gonna hold me. I get out when I want out.

(Seriously though, I'd pick the coma.)

    LMAO

"Riiiight. Hey, Bat-bro, I hope it's not a big deal, but while you were talking there I went ahead and stopped crime. Like... all of it."

    Also, Superman and Bees.

Sure Batman's rich, but if I'm Superman I could be rich if I wanted to. (And I would.)

And I hate Bees far less than Mosquitoes.

Indeed, and it's looking to be a sweet machine.

Honestly, yes they would probably ban your account.

I had a friend get banned because of stupid credit card problems that lead to his CC company rescinding his CoH monthly payment, and even after his bank addmitted it was THEIR mistake NCSoft would not unban his account.

  7. Gotta say I'm diggin Mindstress.

I like that she's rather on the beefy side, sure her powers are mental(judging by the name) but that doesn't mean it wouldn't hurt if she punched you in your face!
  8. I can't post my favorite illustrator of the male body, on account of this forum being for a Teen rated game...

    This. Vey much this.

All the rest I can either deal with or avoid easily enough, but Council Marksmen are all over the place basically from 5-50 and spawn in multiples, upto and including entire spawns of nothing BUT Marksmen.

Anyone without either the Mass AoE damage to kill them all without having to worry about powers recharging; or an AoE control to lock them down, and enough AoE damage to take them out before they get free; is screwed.
  10. This is one facet of Kheldians that always bugged me. My first level 50 (and thus the one who unlocked kheldians for me) was a Forcefield/Psychic Blast Defender, and would later on in his storyline become my Peacebringer, but really he should still have -SOME- of his psychic powers. It doesn't really make sense that he lost them, or that he just wouldn't USE them.

What I would like is for current (and any future) Kheldian archetypes to get access to a sort of Host Power Pool.

HPPs would fill in some of the powers that you would have had before becomming joined, and there would be one to represent each power type (Psi, Fire, Ice, Etc).

Ideally these sets would open up earlier than an APP, since they're all powers that you should have had already.

This way, sure you primarily use the Kheldian powers, but it lets you hold onto the thematics of your host character's power, if they had any.

Example: For my FF/Psi host Peacebringer I would use the Psionic HPP which might have:

    Subdue
    Telekinetic Blast
    Psychic Scream
    Scramble Thoughts

None of these powers is really going to alter the play of the character, but it'll allow me to keep the Theme of the character.

(Keep in mind that taking any of these powers takes up one of your normal power slots, so it's not a case of adding "even more powers" to a kheldian. You still get the exact same number of power picks.)

    well... umm.... Just in case.

  12. Not as much as some people.

    Buddy code - Free
    CoV - Err.... $30? $40?
    Cyborg Pack - $10
    Mac Edition - $20
Magic Pack - Free (Someone bought it for me)
AE Edition - Free (Someone gave it to me)

35months of monthly subscription (3 of which were included free with various game additions) 32 x $15 = $480, of which I probably paid for less than half (my parents paid for most of it) so say, 150bucks.

$210-$220 since I created my account in May 2005.

EDIT: Oh, yeah, and $10 for a server transfer.
  13. I use trays 1-3 stacked with tray 1 being the most stringently arranged (I hate having to use Alt# and Shift#), generally being full of my main attacks/heals/controls.

Tray 2 is generally reserved for situational and Long Recharge powers, such as AoE Holds, Pet Summons and things that need a Location Target; also Offensive Toggles.

Tray 3 is armor toggles and self buffs.

Then I have a seperate tray (which is generally tray9) that I use for Temp Powers and Accolades.

My Kheldians though also use Tray4 for Nova powers and Tray5 for Dwarf powers, which I use keybinds to swap to when activating/deactivating their forms.

This is what makes Marksmen my number 1 most hated mob type in the entire game, trumping even Sappers and Dark Ringmistresses.

With Sappers and DRMs at least you generally only face 1 of them at any given time (unless on a large team, where you should have the tools you need to deal with them anyhow).

Council Marksmen however are all over the freaking palace, from like level 5 all the way to 50. I've come across entire spawns full of nothing BUT Marksmen and maybe a single Lt.

When you're at the -recharge cap, there's really not much you can do except die a slow painful death.
  16. I'd do it. My main Oathbound would be just the type to throw himself into this type of situation without hesitation. (Virtual immortality has that effect on people.)

He's my oldest character still standing, and is my badger. He wasn't my first (but he was my first 50) having the 2nd Aniversary badge as my only way to guess at how long ago I made him. (I actually started playing back around the 1st aniversary but I don't think I still have any characters that old laying around.)

If there were some minimum requirement on playtime though even Oathy might not qualify. I have a bad case of altitis so he's only got 552 hours of played time.

Oh, yeah, in regards to potential deaths, as long as I didn't get careless he'd probably be one of the last ones standing. Oathy is FF/Psy with softcapped defense via IOs and Aid Self. Cinematically I could see him holding the line/pushing onward until the bitter end. He's not a real person, just a psionic manifestation of a person who died centuries ago, so he doesn't actually have a body to get injured. His only limitation is the amount of power available to him until he expends the core energy that is required to maintain his psyche.
  17. There can be no proper math based attack set without an Extreme damage power called "Head Asplode"

Also, possibly an AoE tohit debuff called "Blinded me with Science" though that's less about MATH specifically...

Powersets are close but they can't replicate a few things

    for one
    The eagle jetpack.
    The spec ops rifle
    The Warden helmets
    and other things.
Longbow NPCs are modeled after existing Hero Archetypes. There's absolutely no reason to add any NEW archetypes, that are based on NPCs who already follow existing archetype rules. We aleady have those archetypes.

Generaly the things we can't replicate are costume related. Costume items are not a good reason for new Archetypes. They're a good reason for new costumes.

Arachnos Soldiers and Widows provided new powers, and new combinations of powers that could not be replicated using existing Archetypes within the game.

With regard to the Energy Assault set, Power Push actually WAS made into a 4th blast.

This goes beyond the simple increase in damage because of the change to attribute mods.

Dominator Power Push had a damage component of only ~0.4scale. With Issue15 Energy Assault Power Push was increased to 1.64scale (full Blast damage for it's 8second recharge). Power Blast was bumped from 1.32scale with a 6s recharge to 1.96scale on a 10s recharge, and Power Burst was increased from 2.12scale with an 11s recharge to 2.6scale on a 14s recharge.

In fact, the only two powers in Energy Assault that DIDN'T get their damage/recharge increased were Power Bolt and Power Boost.

Energy Assault has always been lacking any real AoE (Though the changes to Whirling Hands helps in that department a lot as well) I guess the Devs just finaly agreed that it should be the best at single target to make up for it.
  20. I noticed this about Warshades a long time ago, of course I still didn't utilize this because I *hate* laser eyes, and refuse to get them on any Archetype, in any powerset that they appear on.

It's why I can't make a Radiation Blast Blaster. On a Defender/Corruptor Neutrino Bolt recharges so fast I dont have to worry about filling in my attack chain. That doesn't work for Blasters.

    Warden Path
Rad and spines and training flight

    Spec Ops path
Stealth, Combat training, Rifle, and etc

or Stay a sergeant and have access to the Minigun/Flamethrower/Grenades

thats just me. Tell me what you think of the idea, what could be added, how could you make it more possible for the game.
Longbow are about as bland and generic of an NPC group as you can get IMO.

Just about every single Longbow NPC is already replicable just using basic Archetypes and the powersets available to them.

Wardens don't mix sets is ways that they cannot be mixed on existing archetypes. (There are no Rad/Spines Wardens for example, there are just different Wardens that use either Spines or Radiation.)
  22. I'm... rather dubious about that...

Energy Blast isn't actually lacking damage-wise relative to other blast sets, where Energy Assault WAS.
