I've been on and inviting people's alts basicall all night, I'm still on right now even. Just got the Villainside base semi-fully* operational thanks to Infamy donations from a couple of people.
You're not special.
*There's no workshop or storage, cause I'm down to 2500prestige. -
When in the mornin exactly? Cause I could probably be on anything within the next, oh... 5 hours or so, to invite you.

Quote:Hehehe... I get my own semi-personal rank. Some extra info about the VG:
Rankings:
Commissioner (since I "commissioned" the VG)
Designer (for the base designers - VexXxa or I can promote you, Oathbound)
Artist / Collector (both have the same permissions)
Enthusiast
Aficionado
Would like some suggestions for our Motto.
AE arc of the week - just let me know if you've got an arc you want to promote, and I'll rotate it in the MOTD, weekly-ish. -
Quote:I'm a Guardian Hermit too, and I had good fun last night.I don't have anyone to transfer, and if I came up with a hero and/or villain to join, I can't say how often I'd play them. I'm pretty much a Guardian hermit, so I don't wanna be a dead weight...
Ultimately I don't think it really matters so much what character you make/bring, it's just nice to have the company every now and again. -
Well, by the end of our first evening Gallery of Rogues had collected up a bit over 350k prestige. That's enough to start setting up some porters.
Base Item costs:
Entry 0
Oversight Room 50,000
Combo Unit 25,000
2x2 Teleporter room 100,000
2 Teleporters 30,000
4 Beacons 40,000
Total Cost 245,000
Energy Produced 125
Energy Used 100
Control Produced 75
Control Used 70
Figure for a hero side SG the main Zones you want porters too are:
Steel Canyon (Lets you out right next to the Green Line)
King's Row (Lets you out right next to the Yellow Line and Pocket D which has connections to Faultline, Talos and Founders)
Peregrine Island (Hard to get too at low level)
Beyond that it would be handy to have porters to hazard zones, but even just those 3 enable rapid transit between every non-hazard zone.
(Adding anything beyond that is a MAJOR cost increase, as you have to switch from a Combo Unit to seperate Energy/Control items and rooms, all of which are fairly pricey.)
If we do Coalition with other people's bases, there's even a good chance they'll already have some of the teleporters that the new base wouldn't have access too. -
Sure, count me in. I already have some lowbie heroes on Virtue, and I might be convinced to move one of two others over.
And since I've basically declared myself the Gallery of Rogues' base builder, I may as well volunteer to do this one as well, provided no one else is clamoring for the job.
(GOD, I shouldn't be volunteering to do other people's bases, I'm not finished remodeling MY OWN base... partly cause of lack of prestige.) -
Do you think you could let the VG Registrar know you want a base? That way I can build it up as funds become available.
Alas, my character can't lay claim to a patch of real estate, or I'd have already started on it. -
Joined channel. @Oathbound (but of course)
I'm on now. Moved one of my villains over since I have a hero I can play, but no villains above like level 3 really. -
Quote:If I join, can I be the base builder (once there's some actual amount of prestige)? Pweeeeeeeez?Alright peeps! Bubbawheat started a VG on Virtue, a few of us have joined already. So let Bubba know if you want to join.
Caemgen, make youself a baddie and come join the Gallery of Rogues!
I already have a few toons on Virtue (a very few, and all lowbies), I could perhaps move one of my villains over though... since I doubt I'll get everyone to move to Guardian instead. -
Ok, I submitted my one (and only) piece of Fan Art.... but for some reason it ended up in Screenshots, when I meant for it to go into Team-Ups...
err... whoops

I deffinately feel for you, and I'm glad you're alright. I myself got attacked one night walking the (literally) two blocks home to my apartment from my parents house.
Even if there are no real injuries, it can have a lasting effect on you. I think particularly if you live in a "safe" neighborhood, as it causes you to start questioning it all. I myself lived in a bad part of town at the time, so it didn't change my perception really... it was always a possibility I'd have a run-in of some kind at some point and I knew it.
I know I'm a lot more cautious and self aware when I'm out walking around nowadays. I'm easily the most paranoid about personal safety of all of my friends. -
Inded. On my Plant/TA Controler right now, Tree is targetable.
IMO, one of two things needs to happen with Spirit Tree(and Triage Beacon);
A) Cut down it's recharge and duration to allow for recast as the group moves (say 30sec duration 90sec recharge) (possibly also lower it's end cost, it's only 13 as is, but cuting it down to 7.8 would be nice since you have to cast it much more often)
B) Give it a much bigger Regeneration bonus (500%) and have it's duration Cut down to 30sec, shave it's recharge at 180sec. This settup means it wont be active as much, but when it is it will have a much more noticeable impact, roughly equivalent to Regeneration Aura, but with a shorter duration and a mobility penalty (since you have to stay by the tree). -
Count me in.

Quote:Actually, you probably wouldn't have to relearn your artistic skills, all you would need to do would be pick up a pencil and paper and start drawing.I'd probably rather forget everyone else. Besides if I forgot who I am, then I would probably forget that I have artistic skillz and I am a musician - both of which are not learned overnight. I'd hate to put all that time in again re-learing these things.
There are many different types of memory, Semantic memory for instace includes general knowledge (such as "Paris is the capital of France") that doesn't specifically pertain to any specific event in your life. Where Episodic memory is that more closely related to the events of your life ("We went to Paris for our honeymoon").
Motor skills are part of Procedural memory. Procedural memory is long term memorization of skills, often due to repetative action. This includes things like Riding a bike or playing an instrument.
Forgetting who you were (the events of your life) would imply a loss of Episodic memory specifically, and would not neccesarily be accompanied by the loss of Semantic or Procedural memory. -
Quote:So... Long, long ago (in a place far, far away) Lift and Levitate both did 0.8scale damage (which is what Lift still does) then at some point The devs looked at Mind and decided it needed the damage increased, as a result Levitate was dumped up to 1.32scale which is actually the standard damage an attack with a 6second recharge should have.Second, I'd like to point out two powers. For controllers:
Mind control's Levitate:
- 40.4 damage to target
- 12.5 mag knockup to target
- -1.6 fly for 10 seconds to target
- 6.86 end cost
- 6sec recharge
- 80ft range
- 1.87sec animation
Gravity control's Lift:
- 24.5 damage to target
- 12.5 mag knockup to target
- -1.6 fly for 10 seconds to target
- 6.86 end cost
- 6sec recharge
- 80ft range
- 1.03sec animation
Notice anything odd there? Yeah, one does almost half as much damage for the same end cost, recharge and secondary effects. The only things different are the animation time (1.03 for Lift and 1.87 for Levitate) and the damage. Does a 0.84 second shorter animation really justify doing 15.9 less base damage? In PvP, maybe (There, they do 69.8 and 99.9 respectively) but I thought powers in PvE weren't balanced on animation time. Am I wrong about that?
Interestingly, for dominators the two powers do exactly the same damage (69.7 base). They used to be in the same position as the controller versions, but in Issue 15 I think it was when they did the dominator revamp Lift got changed to do more damage. Can we please get the controller version of the power changed in the same way? Or at the very least, an explanation as to why it isn't/can't be changed?
I Guess they felt that giving Gravity a second full damage attack would be overpowering.
Personally I think that's a ridiculous assumption, given that Fire Control, which is supposed to be the set that trades Control for Damage, manages to control as well as Gravity starting at level 12, instead of being sucktastic until level 26 and can deal out more AoE damage as fast as Gravity can deal Single Target damage.
In fact, arguably Fire Control is STILL better at control that Gravity. In addition to the standard Single/AoE Holds and Immobilizes and the AoE stun, Fire gets area denial in Bonfire. Gravity gets..... Dimension shift.
(Side note, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD can we get the activation time of Propel cut down to size?) -
Movie star.
As a rock star you prettymuch do the same thing over and over. As a movie star you get to do different things and be different people.
It just seems like being a musician would get old a lot faster than being an actor. -

Haha, funny question since I just watched monday's Castle, and it had a guy with anesia in it. (he was HOT too, err... not that that's relevant)
Umm.... I'd say I'd rather forget who I was.
I think it would be easier to figure out who one person was than who fifty people were. Plus, that'd let you forget all those stupid things in your past you might regret. -
Shorter.
I'm superman *****! Say somethin and I'll superpunch you in your balls.
Non-Supes answer, Taller I guess. Honestly I think the inconveniences of being 2'10" greatly outweigh those of being 8'10" tall.
Sure I'd have to worry about hitting my head on stuff, but at least I could reach the cupboards and the freezer without a ladder. And you're stuck with health problems no matter which way you go. -
Of all of my characters I think there's ONE that actually has something written in his Bio, and it's not even a Bio, it's a Poem. (A very Fitting poem, but a poem nonetheless.)
I'm absolutely terrible at taking the ideas I have and putting them down on paper (as it were). So while I *have* a horribly complex bio for my main (who represents 3 of my actual characters), it only exists in my head.
