  1. A second Hydrogen explosion has been reported at Fukushima, this time at unit number 3.

This situation just seems like it gets worse and worse.

As the game gets harder in higher levels, you may find it challenging to stay alive with Empathy, especially if you try to run missions at x8.
I think it's pretty much assumed that (particularly now that Fitness doesn't take up one of your pool picks) each Defender will take Leadership and Fighting.

Fortitude + 2xManeuvers + Weave fully slotted is around 41-42%. throw in CJ, Hover or IOs and you easily softcap.

(EDIT: not that dual Emps would even have needed to waste a pool on fitness given perma RAs)

The AP also confirms there was an explosion at Fukushima Dai-ichi, but fortunately it appears the reactor casing is intact. They also say that radiation levels and reactor pressure have decreased.

Evacuation radius is currently reported at 12miles (20km).

My PB needs white/gold powers instead of white/blue.

I'd prolly leave my warshade alone though. I like his Purple Rain of DOOOOM.

    EDIT: And SoAs too!
  5. It really IS better this way.
  6. Is there a Theme?

    I'll see about being there.

One day I'll have to see about moving my only real "Going-to-be Incarnate" over to virtue, so that these notices I'll end up with actually matter.

Is there a list of which buffs are Team versus which are PBAoE somewhere? That would sure be helpful cause it can be pretty hard telling them apart.
Replying to myself so that I can put up a list of the Archetype available powers which are Team vs PBAoE.

  9. lol...

He's a deeply religious ninja grifter on the run. She's a vivacious psychic opera singer in the wrong place at the wrong time. They fight crime!

Apparently she's not that good of a psychic.
  10. Hey I actually recognize a couple names on that list of voices.

Interesting to see David Faustino on the lift of voice actors. Not that there's any problem with that, I've always had a bit of a celebrity crush on the rugrat.

I just wonder if I'll ever be able to hear his character's dialog without picturing Bud Bundy saying it.

If you're noticing a problem with it's radius I suggest you bug report it.

Paralyzing Blast is listed with a radius of 30feet, which is actually LARGER than typical for a Target AoE hold (normally 20ft). (Normally only PBAoE Holds have a 30 ft radius.)

  13. I actually rather liked The Event, but only after I started watching it on Hulu and completely skipping the OH SO BORING Sean/Leila plot line.

I've pretty much accepted that the show is dead/dying though, given the hiatus and what extended breaks tend to do to shows.

No idea about that as None of my earth or (Many, many, many attempts at) Gravity controllers are high enough level to have their pets.

In game numbers does however confirm that the numbers I've listed are correct, so if they're capped at 85% then I guess they've got themselves a bit of padding vs resist debuffing Psi/Toxic mobs,... assuming there are any of those.

Yeah the protection is only from the basic controls (Hold/stun/sleep/immobilize/KB and Repel). Though, how one confuses or fears a mindless amalgamation of gravitational force is beyond me.

Singularity's no-heal ability is basically only there for thematic reasons these days. Stoney's resists are arguably superior (I believe at some point he got a sizable resist buff), and you CAN heal it. (40% Smashing, 50% Lethal, 60% Fire/Cold/Energy/Negative, 80% Toxic, and 100% Psionic. I say "Arguably" mostly because smashing damage is extremely common and Stoney is 10% below Singularity there.)
  16. Singularity has 50% resist to Smashing, Lethal, Fire, Cold, Energy and Negative, and 100% resist against Toxic and Psionic. (It also has 100mag mez protection.)

    Linky.

If you're in-game you should be able to find a pet's resistance on the summon power's info screen. Generally listed under a [Resistance] power.
  17. Hell my first ever level 50 HERO was clad in red and black before CoV was even in beta.

He started off Red and white, then each of his new costume slots has shifted darker and darker to match the development of his personality.

My first level 50 Villain ALSO wears red and black.

Ultimately my most overused color combination is Black/White/Gold though.

The vast majority of my costumes use a set color scheme..

Primarily Black, Secondary <Color>, Accents in White.
    OR
Primarily White, Secondary <Color>, Accents in Black.

Sometimes I add a fourth color if I can get it to not look tacky.

I think white also works pretty well.

My Fortunata uses (the aforementioned) White/Gold/Black.

    My Huntsman uses White/Blue/Black.

    Actually yes that is/was me.

I was using a friend's account while mine was having, erm... issues. (hmm, I dunno if I should even say that where NCSoft employees can read it)

    So there ya go.

Ya know, considering the subject matter I know I read that thread (or at least read it up to a point). It might be where I got the idea, but I dunno.

It was something that popped into my head a while back when I was designing imaginary, Gravity themed sets for every set type (Ranged/Melee/Support/etc).

I had actually forgotten Singy used to Dimension Shift mobs, but I've yet to get any of my Gravity Control characters to level 32 to GET Singy, so I've never had firsthand experience with it. (I've tried, really I have.)
  20. I'd have to say your issue is probably the sets that you're playing. I don't know what other sets you've tried, but Sonic (and likewise forcefield) is a very passive set, with the few truly offensive powers being on rather long recharges.

I would suggest playing a Dark/Sonic defender (or sonic/dark corruptor).

Dark is an offensive support set in it's playstyle. There's nothing Ally targeted in the entire set. It's also fairly control heavy, When you cast power like Fearsome Stare there's an immediate indication that it DID something (via mobs shaking in their boots). When you fire off Howling Twilight there's immediate proof that it worked (allies come back to life, or even if no one was defeated, mobs get damaged, debuffed and stunned). Twilight Grasp gives you big green numbers.

Sonic blast lets you provide the team with a very desirable debuff while dealing damage, which seems to be a part of what you're after. Contributing to the defeat of a mob, while providing a benefit to your team at the same time.

Sure you're still not going to get all THAT much game feedback from it, but on some level you've just got to know you're doing a good job.

This kind of bind works very well for Wormhole (or really any location target power).

I use exactly this type of set up for characters with Teleport as a travel power. shift+lbutton for TP and shift+rbutton for either TP Foe or Recall Friend. This lets me chain cast TP very quickly by just holding down shift and clicking where I want to go.
  22. Actually I've played since before 2006, I just never signed up for the forums.

It took me a long time to get a character past level 20 though, so it's entirely possible that they changed the drops before I even would have noticed.

And nope. I didn't do any Oro missions, or any story arcs of any kind. Just radio missions and tips.
  23. While running tips today I got a level 38 TRAINING ORIGIN enhancement.

Why..... would this even exist? Really?
  24. Well it's been 24 hours, so it should be ok for me to guess again...

    I 'll say number 50.

Indeed. Fixing post 32 for Gravity won't do a Damned bit of good when many/most people who try Gravity likely give up on it LONG before then.

Hell I've given up on it at least a dozen times already. Completely serious.
