    According to this article:

The implication is that they won't exist, not that they just haven't been seen yet.

    We don't know.

At the Player Summit the Devs said something about hoping that players would be mature about color selections... which kind of implies that it won't have the strictly limited color palate of the Ice sets, but we won't know for sure till it actually goes into Beta.

I really hope it has the more versatile color palate, the Ice palate really is horrifically limited.

Indeed. It's established "Word of God" that Aang's 100 years in hibernation counted against his Avatar lifespan.

The only other Avatars that we really know the lifespan of are Roku and Kyoshi. Kyoshi was the longest lived Avatar at 230 where Roku died at only 70.

Kyoshi is noted for her exceptional lifespan (among other things), so her age isn't a great reference for determining an Avatar life expectancy.

Likewise, we know Avatar Roku's death wasn't of natural causes, so we have no way of determining how much longer he could have lived beyond then. However, Roku definitely appeared old enough.

Looking at Kyoshi and Roku, if we only count Aang's active years, 60s certainly would seem early for an Avatar, but counting his century of suspension 160s seems like it's actually fairly long.

Yeah, it was nice seeing someone finally bend like the old days. I'd had the feeling this entire time that the benders were being seriously downplayed, so I enjoyed seeing her let lose damnit.

I won't say the thought didn't cross my mind. I mean, if anyone could figure out a way to block bending a Water Tribe healer (and bloodbender at that) would be the one. (Not that we have reason to believe Tarrlok was trained as a healer, particularly since that used to be "for women," just saying it's a possibility.)

Given the look on his face when Korra accused him of being just like Amon though, I'm more inclined to believe that he's just a skeezy little bugger who's taking advantage of the situation (and even intentionally exacerbating things) so that he can seize power.

    Certainly seems that way.

It really seems like the specialized bending skills have spread like crazy in the last 70 years.

Used to be Toph was the only metalbender, now there's entire police forces using it.

Used to be only the Fire Nation royal family could be lightningbenders, now there's an entire city powered by them.

Bloodbending used to be virtually unknown... who would even teach Tarrlok how to do it? I really can't see Katara showing anyone else how to do it. Did he figure it out on his own?

After all, the only way you can delete those is to get rid of the form.(And yes, I did just log in and try a few ways to remove the powers - including "remove from tray" in the powers window. No go.)
UGH! I haven't even tried playing my kheldians with this yet... that's going to annoy me to no end.
  9. My issue with the server tray is that it was implemented without regard for the fact that not everyone uses the default UI positioning.

I have other UI elements at the top of my power trays, having the server tray FORCED at the top of it means that whenever the server tray pops it's now covering part of my UI.

But since I can't MOVE THE SERVER TRAY to some other spot for the few times that the damned thing actually freaking matters, my only options are either suck it up with the annoying overlap, or rearrange the UI on EVERY SINGLE ONE of my characters so that the stupid server tray has room to display.

Seriously, how hard would it have been to make the server tray movable?

    Indeed.

It also seems rather (entirely) counterproductive to turn one character gay, at the expense of an already established gay character.

Edit: Eh, so reading the article it seems like they had decided there wouldn't be a Jade or Obsidian first, then decided to make Alan Scott gay instead. Meh still seems like a dumb move.

Yes. I read the power list thoroughly. I still wonder if that's going to be enough to differentiate the sets, given just how similar the rest of the powers are.

Hmm, maybe an Archery/ Corruptor? Twig blast!
You could pair it with the upcoming Water Blast set for the general "Nature" theme.
  13. Rad Armor sounds very similar to Bio Armor...

    Resist/Regen/Absorb with debuff based auras.

The question then becomes: What makes them distinct enough from each other to warrant both of them?
  14. So yeah not sure if it's been mentioned already but...

    this happened.

There can't possibly be anyone who'd actually buy this, can there?

It's not like I pay for an active subscription and browse these forums all day looking for information like this, I should have known that external websites are where all the cool companies keep their most up to date information...
All of the information that is Officially Available can be found using the forums.

The reason none of the set's specifics are available is that they haven't been announced yet. The only reason any other site might currently have more info on these sets is because they were leaked during beta by someone going through the game's files in violation of the user agreement.

Edit: I take that back, I think I remember having the #1 comic too.

    1) Yes. Yes it does appear so.

    2) No. That seems to be a different nondescript superhero with a dark colored cowl and flowing cape. He has funky lil bracer-bits and doesn't have a high collar.

Yeah, it's just that the people who know the more detailed info are wary of "speculating" because they don't want to get in trouble. (Technically all we're supposed to know about the set is what we were told at the Player Summit... which is basically just the power/set names and the order.)

      • Rebirth (rez, hopefully not too vanilla)

I would "speculate" that this is fairly accurate, though Overgrowth belongs in the Buff list, rather than the Heal list and Raging Tempest might need to be moved into it's own Control list.
  19. Yeah..... while I am a trekkie myself, I've got to come right out and say that the Enterprise (like most Star Trek ships) is a wildly impractical design for a real life spaceship.

Oh yeah, Nicholas Brendon (Buffy's Xander) was also in Kitchen Confidential.

The wiki lists Uncanny X-Men #265 from August 1990 as the issue that confirmed them as an official couple.

Honestly 1990 seems pretty early on, like she was at the forefront of the movement to include LGBT characters in comics. (Maybe it only seems that way to me cause I was only 8 in 1990.)

For the last 30 years, apparently:

As far back as 1981, Claremont had intended Destiny to be the lover of Brotherhood of Mutants teammate Mystique, and had originally intended for Destiny and Mystique to be Nightcrawler's biological parents, with Mystique taking the form of a man for the conception. However, at that time, the Comics Code Authority and Marvel policy prohibited the explicit portrayal of gay or bisexual characters. Destiny was simply referred to as the only member of the new Brotherhood that Mystique saw as a friend; all the other members being male and prone to arguing amongst each other. Much later, the two were confirmed to have been a couple.

Eh, I can see where the guy's coming from, but I still think I'd have preferred a new gay character over the "coming out" of an existing character.

The main reason why is that depending on how it's handled and how the character continues to be written I'm just afraid that if the character's storyline takes a turn for the worse, it'll be associated with the change in sexuality even if the parts people don't like are completely unrelated to that specific change.

It's one thing for a new gay character to just not turn out well but I just don't want the possible decline of a favorite kind of character to be linked to their being made gay.
