But id pigeon-hole Blizzard in with Full Auto and Rain of Arrows rather than Nova, Inferno, Thunderous Blast and Wail. Even though its the most damaging "nuke" its DoT-ness makes it more pigeon-hole A imo.
[/ QUOTE ]
Yeah it's not one to use against things that resist slows such as Warwolves. -
Many of the power sets get an extremely destructive power at level 32, capable of killing large groups with 1 attack but leaving you drained of endurance. Nova, Inferno, Thunderous Blast, Dreadful Wail and Blizzard are all 'nukes'.
Some defenders get nukes too although not those specific ones. -
Sounds fun. I'd like to be there but it depends when you run it. I'll keep an eye on this thread
-
/Dark also goes well with storm with the Tentacles->Freezing Rain->Nigthfall combo.
-
Indeed OoOozy. My Ice/SS tank has all her attacks slotted with acc/dmg/recharge - no end redcutions at all and I can attack non-stop with only the occasional pause to taunt a stray mob.
Also, as MaX says, once gauntlet is fixed (again) a non-taunt build will be perfectly viable with the only problem being mobs who stay at range/run away and there are ways around that. -

Castle should play the game a bit more in that case
[/ QUOTE ]
Well, the changes only went live on US last week and, unless we've been patched today, have yet to go live this side of the pond. Unfortunately they broke gauntlet in the auto-hit auras in the process of putting this fix in. -

Indeed on both accounts.. the Dark Servant was only getting in the way with it's spam heals and i didn't see much in the way of "holds" going on.
[/ QUOTE ]
FYI, it spams it's hold very 16 seconds (it's basically the same as the defender version). Probably not worth the lag unless we're struggling to hold Hami, which on last times performance shouldn't be an issue -
Hasten goes will with /regen too as you have lots of clickpowers rather than toggles (Reconstruction, Dull Pain, IH, MoG if you take it)
-
I also took Stamina on my Kin/ defender as it allows for more aggressive play, which is my preferred play style. For PvE you may get away without it but for PvP you can't rely on Transference to hit all the time.
Repel is something I've never really found a use for. -
Put me down as a probable for the drop team again (Baad Leprechaun).

My point was I have just finished reading throu the patch notes again and there has been no report on that they have removed the trenhcoat + bandanna's + backpack did anyone else know about this change to ?
[/ QUOTE ]
There are no patch notes because it's a bug as described on that thread linked above.
When Castle said:

This problem is caused by something we did to fix another bug -- sort of an unintended consequence. I've got a partial fix working on my end, but there are still problems with it. So, I'm aware of the issue and looking for a fix. No ETA, however.

he was talking about the new lack of costume bug rather than the old flickering costume bug. -
TP foe into a corner while using Force Bubble can be amusing
I think it's 4 break frees. -
Force Bubble can be moved through using Unstoppable, MoG or getting Increase Density applied to you.

No. the epic Fireball isn't 0.55* Blaster fireball. If it were, there wouldn't be any need for this nerf. It's Fireball that has it damage scalar set (much) higher than normal Fireball, so that despite the 0.55 damage scale it does roughly equivalent amount of actual damage the Blaster fireball does. Factor in Containment, and it does twice the damage of Blaster Fireball.
[/ QUOTE ]
Controller Fireball has double the recharge of the blaster one. Also, not every controller is able to set up containment each time it's available. As Ill/FF I am able to outdamage a non-Aim/Build Up/Defiance using blaster with one attack every 1.5-2 minutes depending on hasten. Hardy overpowered. -
[ QUOTE ]
anyone else think this is all those fire/kin trollers fault?
[/ QUOTE ]
Probably. Ironically, they will be the ones least affected by this change (FS should still be able to get them to he damage cap on teams). -

*cradles his 3 Damage/Range HO's*
Soon...
[/ QUOTE ]
Heh good idea. I have a few of those and a freespec in one of my controllers who has little need of them now -
It wont affect my scrapper much except maybe against fliers.
-
Good point although CE only helps if the stalker is coming for you rather than going after the squishies, which is often the case.
I should also point out that there are easier ways to get +perception rather take the powers yourself. Clear Mind and Clarity from a friendly defender or controller spring to mind. -
Base Perception range is 500
Glacial Armor +300
Focused Accuracy +300
Tactics for a lvl 50 tank +242
Making a total of 1342 but at level 50 your perception cap is 1153.
At that level you would see a Stalker running Hide (-500) and Stealth (-390) at a distance of 263.
A Stalker running Hide (-500) and Invisibilty (-611) would be visible at a range of 42.
A pair of stalkers running Hide, Invisibility and using Grant Invis on each other would be almost impossible to see. You would have to be within 10 feet/yards (or whatever measurement the game uses, can't remember atm)
Both SR and DA scrappers are capable of pulling this off too. -
Last time I used it Psionic Tornado (around issue 4 i think) it had a 50% or so chance to Knockup. It does ok damage over time but I dropped it for Psychic Scream as that attack suited the play style of the team I was in at that time.
The snipe does reasonable damage has a HUGE range and is good for pulling if that's your thing.
Wail does lots of damage for me as I always Fulcrum Shift first. I have no idea how well it will gel with empathy so someone else can answer that one.
I know what you mean about TK. It usually takes me several deaths in RV before I remember I have it -

For a while I ran with Short Circuit slotted for damage rather than End Mod. Combined with Ball Lightning and Static Discharge from the Elec Epic, I put out a shockingamount of AoE damage.
[/ QUOTE ]
Would 6 slotting Short Circut with 3 damage and 3 End Mod be a good idea?
I'm learning the team play blaster style which lets the Tanks get the agro first , lob ball lightning in then run in and Short Circut , which i have 3 slotted End Mods just now.
[/ QUOTE ]
If you have secondary that helps with end drain (you chose elec/energy right?) then yes, end mods is a very good way to go. -
Yes insulation shield does protect from endurance drain but not -recovery AFAIK.
