Make sure u have Invisibility + Stealth IO for ultimate hiding ability before and after, no need for placate...
[/ QUOTE ]
Hide+Stealth+Stealth IO takes you to the stealth cap. No need for invis too unless you are using it to pick up Phase Shift. -
Fire shield = Stun protection
Plasma shield = Hold and Sleep protection -
Of the two, MoG. Just don't use it against psionic mobs.
-
Absolutely not just herding tanks. Anything with placable powers , debuff toggles, targetted AoEs or PBAoEs will not be keen on that sort of play.

I use Super speed to enter melee very fast, deliver a couple big hits and then leave melee as fast as you can (with no SS, cos it is supressed but well).
[/ QUOTE ]
Combat Jumping + Hurdle is very good for that, especially if you have the slots to spare to 3 slot each with Jump IOs. (I also like to slot CJ with a Kismet +Tohit, Karma KB protection and LoTG Recharge but that's just me) -

Most people combine primary and secondary attacks to get the most damage, but playing purely ranged is a lot safer, especially against enemies such as the Freakshow or the Warriors.
[/ QUOTE ]
Safer for sure but I find it a lot more fun getting in amongst the bad guys to hit them with a big melee attack or PBAoE -
That's why I mentioned the Harmonized Healing set. It's a lower bonus but quite a bit cheaper
-
For another slight recovery bonus you could put the End/Recharge + Heal/Recharge IOs from with the Miracle or Harmonized Healing sets into Hibernate. You will lose slightly on the recharge but gain via the set bonus.
-
Interesting build, I may have to nick some ideas for my ice/energy dom
-
I take it you are trying to do the first respec trial rather than the 1st SF?

I've an Earth/Kin which works extremely well - Siphon Speed lets me cycle the controlly stuff in the primary very fast, you never want for an AOE control power. It knocks the socks off my Ice/Rad for team controlling in a lot of situations (basically because I've more viable alternatives to knock down powers if I end up teamed with someone who feels the urge to throw everything all over the place).
I teamed with an Earth/Storm a fair bit too, I have to say, I think I liked that better. Loads and loads of cool powers, lots of flashy stuff (noone is going to miss you that's for sure!) although very bloody noisy. Lightning Flash stacks nicely with Stompy Foot too (sorry, real power names escape me, I've been referring to them by stupid names for too long, the AOE stun from each set). Stone Cages with Freezing Rain or Quick Sand, Hurricane's just great.

Staligmites & Thunderclap?
[/ QUOTE ]
Those are the ones she means
The Earth and Storm sets have pretty good synergy. You get masses of control, some very nice debuffs and, at later levels, reasonable damage. Definitely a fun combo. -

For some reason I was under the impression that the level of the IO had an impact thus a lv 49 stealth IO wouldn't work in warburg. Thanks for clearing things up.
[/ QUOTE ]
My stalkers level 36 stealth IO slotted into Sprint worked in Sirens. I haven't tried it since the fix but I expect it will work the same. -
If everyone else quits the team after you start then the TF will be disbanded. They should be able to log out and as long as they don't quit the team you can continue the TF.
-
You need to be bossy to keep things moving along quickly. Good job last night btw.
-
I'm not sure why you want that status resistance tbh. You will still get mezzed and have your toggles dropped but the mezzes won't last so long. Don't you carry break frees with you at all?
No Clear Mind until 49? Really?
Unless you intend to PvP (and with CM at 49 I'm guessing not) then stealth+stealth IO is a waste as either will stack with super speed already.
Cytoskeletons in Fortitude? You would be better off with 3 Membranes in there.
I would also slot some of the healing powers differently but I will let a more qualified empath discuss them. -
A tank on the LRSF? I think you mean STF.

Hmmm maybe you want to change the title. It is Adrenaline Boost not Accelerate Metabolism.
[/ QUOTE ]
I doubt it's Adrenalin Boost as that's not available for defenders until level 32, not level 18.
Slot Accelerate Metabolism with 3 Recharge and 3 End Mod. -
Whilst I generally go Assault/Tactics, if you wish to build for extra recharge then Maneuvers is handy as you can put one of the LoTG -Recharge IOs in it.
BTW, Assault is 18.75% damage buff for defenders. -
I don't have it on my claws/DA scrapper. I much prefer to have stuff near me in OG and CoF.
Edit:
Just to clarify, I have my this character set up for soloing CoT and Carnie missions for the arcane salvage and for the occasional bit of zone PvP. -
Ah the old days of endlessly being asked to fill or bridge so a tank could PL himself....good riddance tbh.
-
If you're only going to 3 slot attacks, you would be far better off using 3 Acc/Dmg HOs rather than set IOs unless you are dead set on the bonuses.
Re Inferno, I disagree with Max. I would go 3 Acc/Dmg HOs and 3 Recharge. Failing that I would slot 3 Dmg/3 Recharge as I always use Aim+Build Up first so missing is not an issue. I am a real fan of using my nuke at any available opportunity (especially when confused).
I agree with most of what else he says tho. -

I also respecced Temp Protection Just for slotting 3 IOs 1KB, 1 Aegis Unique, and 1 Status Protect from Impervious Skin (I Think its called) That way no 120 second coverage and no need for shields to be up for active protection.
[/ QUOTE ]
The Impervious Skin IO just gives resistance not protection. -
Yup, it's dead handy
-
Rad/Sonic. Good in teams. Good Solo. Destroys AVs.
-
I agree with FireKitty on this one, for PvE 1 damage resist is all MoG needs really (according to NoFuture it's 71% base resist and defense). Like snoox_xl says, learning when not to use it is just as important as knowing when you should use it.
