Interesting. Hopefully Beef_Cake will have an Issue 20 map pack up in the not too distant future for people like me with poor memories.

Spad's advice is good.
I have a related question, does anyone know if the crates/containments always spawn in the same spots? -

There are various ways of making quite a bit of inf. If you are unsure how, you could try asking in the player questions section. I'm not saying you will make 3 billion inf in a few days but it may not take as long as you might think.

As suggested, set yourself to -1/x1, no bosses which should leave you effectively +2 to the mobs, and it shouldn't take long to bash through 5 missions (not 8) to pick up the SG mission.
Avoid escort missions and you should be able to just run through and defeat all mobs in the last room (and click glowie if there is one) to complete the missions. Good luck! -
Good point but there's always 2nd or 3rd builds for making something easier to solo.

Quote:Yes you canLol while the thread is here...does that mean I can collect halloween salvage too? I might see to hoarding a lot this time and e-mailing it all to my lowbie MM who's sitting at lvl 12 until she gets her carnie costume pieces/a loincloth.
It also makes it easier to collect the banisher and slayer badges which are needed for blue-side accolades. -

Quote:From process explorer:Then are you aware of the command to get to the EU test server? You could find out by launching the EU test server, then checking in Process Explorer what command it was launched with.
"D:\Games\CohTest\CityOfHeroes.exe" -project euCoHTest -launcher -setlocale 1033 -auth 64.25.36.20
ETA: D:\Games\CohTest\cityofheroes.exe -project euCoHTest -auth 64.25.36.20 also works but it doesn't work without the "-auth 64.25.36.20" part
Quote:You sure about that Ohms? It is my understanding that the actual programs for cityofheroes and cohupdater are actually identical but that the NA ones have the extension .exe while the EU ones have the extension .eu.exe
It is that extension that tells the programs which server to connect to. This may have changed with the change over to the nclauncher through. -

Although my PC's symptoms were different to Fellivaril's, I have an FPS issue after a Windows re-install which was caused by my antivirus software. Adding my games folder to its exclusions resolved matters for me. It may be worth a try if installing new drivers doesn't work

Quote:For a time I had both an EU and US account and I used to run them from the same directory, the only difference being in the shortcuts to start them, -project "coh" for the US one and -project "eucoh" for EU. I think this still worked last time there was a reactivation weekend (although it may have been the previous one).Since the EU and US server lists are being merged, that got me wondering two things:
What differences are there between the European client and the US client? (I'm fairly certain the differences are more than just the US client is started with -project coh and the EU one uses -project eucoh) I thought I read some stuff about the EU client including extra support for foreign languages (although that might just be translations).
And, if there are differences... any idea if we'd be able to use either version of the client once the merger happens? -
I have a full set of Efficacy Adaptor in mine (I'm a recharge junkie) and if I use it before a nuke then I can just carry on blasting afterwards, sometimes without any toggles dropping.
-
Had that happen during the second half of a Battle Maiden fight during the Apex TF. Quite painful
-
I have yet to see a convincing argument why this will be a good thing for the EU servers.

After a lot of Sister Psyches and Silver Mantis runs I am finally done with the Partner badge. I never want to see Freakshow again.
-
Yup, we also used them on our Master run a couple of weeks ago
-
-
Only 4 copies? I get 8 every time but I'm too lazy to figure out how to sort it out.

Quote:This. The Partner badge is the last one I need on my badging character so I'm quite happy to speed through these WSTs as quick as possible so I can fit in a couple of runs a day although that's not my preferred play style.Beyond the most basic reward/time equations, the Weeklies give a series of badges for running the same TFs over and over and over and over...
If you're interested in the badge, it's in your best interest to make the TFs as short as possible. -
Some mission dialogue made me giggle today:
Longbow Flamethrower 1: Sometimes the hum of the generators makes me so sleepy. You know what I mean?
Longbow Flamethrower 2: I do, your talking makes me tired a lot also.
Longbow Flamethrower 1: ...that was uncalled for. -
If the tank taunts him from range (keep him immobilised or slowed) then you will find he doesn't use his big pbaoe attacks including the mega-stun one.
Some additional info on the ambushes, there are four distinct phases. The first spawns in the AV room, the second down the eastern corridor, the third in the AV room and the fourth down the eastern corridor. There are multiple waves to each part and the third phase has some quite long gaps between each wave (or waves spawn when you attack the AV, we never figured it out for sure).
