    You mean like how some MMs skip Pets? Or 'Healers' skip attacks? Or Blasters skip melee attacks? Or Tankers skip Taunt? Why not let people hold off taking Hide until they have their Assassination power? And where's the indignation for "No! Controllers will skip GALE!"? Have you all heard the news that not all first tier secondary powers are equal in utility? How about giving people whose first tier secondary powers is nearly useless a chance to skip it?

    WRT the OPs alternative solution of auto-six slotting powers that are forced on you... I would say no because the easier and more elegant solution would simply be to allow a choice to the first tier secondary... either the second tier secondary, the third tier primary, or a first tier Power Pool.

  2. so we can slot the way we want because it is annoying to have slotting limitations on these powers.
  3. it's annoying and we should not be forced to take a power that we may not want. if you can't change this then provide 6 enhancement slots that are "locked in" instead of 1. also, do the same thing for boxing or kick when chosen from the fighting pool, not both.

    Back on topic,... I dont know if I like having so many Booster Packs - I would like to see other additions though, cross-server arena, some new arena maps, pvp fixes...anything would be nice at this point.

    yeah just tossing around ideas because something is better than nothing and "anything would be nice at this point" sums up how i feel now after my pvp super kitty died from neglect.

  6. tone down kinetic melee attack sounds.

    some electric control powers could sound more epic and less fartyish.

    transference and some (idk which) H.E.A.T. attack powers have an over amplified sound.

    the wind sound while flying was toned down but im still not a fan of it personally.

    tone down quills.

    sonic attack and sonic resonance could use a new sound set.

    i'll check demons again bc they were pretty annoying before and not sure how much has changed since beta.

  8. i think it would be like way cool and superly awesome great for the devs to make pvp "members only" booster packs for the game. here are some totally wicked rad ideas...

    "members only" pvp zone where all of these great ideas below work so it does not disrupt or unbalance pve land or the other pvp zones.

    "members only" pvp build with access to all enhancements.

    "members only" accolade pack. all accolades and make some new ones too.

    "members only" military styled faction costumes, capes, auras and emotes.

    there are many more "members only" ideas but i don't feel like typing them now but i will later sometime.

    there is a lot of potential here so im just throwing out the idea of pvp booster packs for something to think about. i think that pvp booster packs would help retain current pvpers, draw in some new pvp buddies and make the devs some loot. then maybe the devs will get enough loot to do lots more for pvp and the entire future of the product.

    1. your powers perform differently while in a pvp zone. you will be lost, clueless and pwnd for a while.

    2. there is way more Travel Suppression in pvp than in pve.

    3. Diminishing Returns has made most defense powers laughable and has killed the role of buffers. Melee toons benefit more from buffs. Mids' does not show numbers for DR.

    4. the more you heal within x amount of seconds the less effective it is because of Heal Decay.

    5. 99% of Slow powers suck because they removed -Max Run Speed.

    6. basically all toons have the same mez capabilities now.

    9. making a halfway decent pvp build now will require an investment of many billions and require getting accolades.

    12. Posi has made promises to improve pvp since issue 13 but has not followed through so it looks like the dev team does not care or are not capable.

    i posted about this before but let's have another look at some of these numbers.

    1 PVP RECIPE (30 hero villain alignment merit version) FREE METHOD
    60 days and 330 missions later = 30 hvams

    24 PVP RECIPES (30 hvam version) FREE METHOD
    1,440 days and 7,920 missions later = 720 hvams



    1 PVP RECIPE (30 hvam version) 1/2 FREE 1/2PAID METHOD
    30 days and 165 missions and 750 merits and 300,000,000 inf later = 30 hvams

    24 PVP RECIPES(30 hvam version) 1/2 FREE 1/2PAID METHOD
    720 days and 3,960 missions and 18,000 merits and 7,200,000,000 inf later = 720 hvams



    1 PVP RECIPE (30 hvam version) PAID METHOD
    30 days and 1500 merits and 600,000,000 inf later = 30 hvams

    24 PVP RECIPES (30 hvam version) PAID METHOD
    720 days and 36,000 merits and 14,400,000,000 inf later = 720 hvams

    freedom is the best choice for pvp unless you like to rpfc the same 5 people.

    You can only get 5 tips per day, taking you 2 days to earn a hero merit that way. Off tips alone you would need to do 5 missions 1 day, 6 the next and after 3 and a quarter years you'd have your blaster's main attacks PvPIO/Purpled out.

    a bunch of us are making some phat loot on purples and pvp ios because of this reward system. we are really looking forward to some purples and pvp ios hitting the 1 bil mark and certain proc (looking at you my precious little panacea proc muahahaha!) hitting the 2 bil mark. after that point we will be able to make trades off market on more than just the glad armor proc.

    i would like to take this time to thank the devs for low drop rates, unreasonable alignment merit costs for purples and pvp ios, repetitive missions, time restrictions for earning alignment merits and for keeping an uncontrolled market system where i can dry up recipes and enhancements of my choice then trickle them back in at a much higher rate.

    rachel you have a limited POV. you are also biased because you are lead dev and creator of a future mmo (*looks at banner in your sig again*) that will be in direct competition with CoX as well. maybe you don't want CoX to succeed or become a well rounded and exciting mmorpg to play but many here do.

    you have a very limited point of view for someone who is the lead developer/creator of that mmo you are advertising in your sig.

    pvp here has a ton of potential but it is being wasted and mismanaged. until pvp is deleted from the whole system it should be handled better.

    sorry but the dev team is spread too thin on multiple project to properly handle most things. positron has good intentions for pvp by his statements, castle is obviously overworked, and given the past and current state of pvp there should be someone there who is mainly focused on all things pvp related. by adding a pvp dev the whole team can work more efficiently on all other areas as well thus taking another step foward to having a well rounded product.
