Don't you have anyone to argue with at home?
[/ QUOTE ]
No my cat just stares at me and occassionally licks his crotch. I'm hoping no one does that when reading my posts.

This is not a post to any individual, just the thread in general.
No matter what options they give us, there will always be players that are below any of our standards ((looks in the mirror)). It just happens. Someone's choice in costumes is not going to change that. It seems like we have two arguments here. One is that the clothes make the person, and the other is the person is who they are regardless of how they dress.
You can limit costume options if you want, but it won't change the simple fact that the person you don't want to play with will still dress however he or she likes within the given confines. Don't play with the people who dress contradictory to your ideals. Chances are, many of us don't team with certain people because they go against our ideas. Fine. Don't include them in your play. Chances are, they won't include us either. -

...Though I've gotta agree with some people, exposed brains and sewn shut facial features don't really mesh with the heroic side.
[/ QUOTE ]
While I am in agreement that many of the costume options would 'port over well and be a refreshing option for CoH, certain items like those above and the truly villanous/monstrous faces should stay with CoV. From what I've seen in beta, clearly some options seem "villian-only."

Fooie on this!
I want the reptilian, feline, monstrous, etc. options for heroes too.
Then again, I also want cat ears for male toons, patterns applicable to tails, and huge females as options too.
[/ QUOTE ]
Frankenstein's monster was also not very monsterous. -

I just want to let you all know that I am making it my life's goal to have CTab start chittering in a month's time.
[/ QUOTE ]
I'm sorry to hear that. Is there no reversing it? -
Villains don't get pointy ears!
Does this mean heroes will lose their pointy ears? -

I don't know if I should be scared or excited...

It really is a thin line. Ever notice how people tend to get excited when scared? -

He needs to learn about Tuna fish!
[/ QUOTE ]
I taught it about some of the finer points between tuna fish and cucumbers. Especially when it comes to Miracle Whip being more tangy than mayonaise. -

I'd like to keep them seperated for the sole reason of feeling like I didn't waste my money on an upgrade that anyone could have gotten anyway by owning one or the other.
The costume options in CoV are for people who PAID for CoV.
Now, if what Statesman says about making them be available to people who own both games, that's fine with me. I just don't want people who didn't buy one or the other to be able to benefit from the one they didn't buy. I think that's fair.
[/ QUOTE ]
That's what was said basically. If you have both, then eventually we may get all costume parts from both. You only get the costume options from one or the other if you only own one though. -
Wait! You are monitoring what we are doing with CTab? Can you ignore that part about the cucumber then? Please?

Yeah. That's five on each the hold an immobilize. I had to grab some more people to safely test it before everything dies on me. Hope that helps.
On a side note, I have had her speed boosted a couple of times before, and haven't noticed a major difference in her dps. There may be a minor one, but she is constantly attacking as is. She may change the attack cycle, but she is basically always attacking. -
I'm on right now, and crush is doing ticks of five. It's harder to tell on gravity distortion because she isn't holding anything that isn't immobilized. That's with small groups so I can better keep track of things though. It appears to be five ticks as well. That would fall in line with the player controlled versions which are also each five. I'm kind of surprised that I never bothered to count the ticks before.

I am actually okay with most of the new changes. There are a few that I don't care for because they are greatly unbalanced with the game as it has become, but there are other changes I am happy about. I'm waiting in anticipation to see how they try to fix some of the new balance issues. For the most part, I am happy with the changes. There are a few that I am not happy with (controller and tanker concerns mostly) as well as a few that baffle me (phase shift comes to mind). Still, there is a lot of stuff in the new patch that I can easily deal with.

Let this be a lesson kiddies. Never swipe anything from a cat with a tank. Now, where did that cat with the pistol go...
-
I swipe all of my original ideas from others.

Where do I get my creativity from, you ask?
Three words:
Caffeine and television.

This one will work. -

I think my next hero shall be named Flatulent Mongoose.

Would that be some kind of dark and sonics defender combination? -
[ QUOTE ]
I hear voices in my head when I squeeze my eyes real tight. I write what those voices tell me on parchment with a raven quill using specially prepared ink from Tasmania. Then I let the parchment bathe in moonlight for two days, after which I transcribe the words to my computer. The result is pure creativity.
When the above process fails me, I inflict head wounds upon myself... this never fails.

The voices aren't actually in your head. They are behind you. -
It just happens. I don't know why. That being said, I have failed miserably in any attempt to ever have an original thought. They all stem from something that came before.

The books are available about a month ahead of the subscriber mailing through comic shops. The people who are getting these copies are buying them there for the most part.

It probably is rushed. I am still waiting on my second ish, so not sure there. I think I read somewhere that Mark Waid is only writing the first three issues. I could easily be mistaken however. If that's the case, he could just be pushing to have his arc done before the next writer comes in.
