1. This has probably been mentioned a million times already, but Christmas trees! They already exist, we see them every year around the Ski Chalet. Pine trees, with lights.

Having to try and build a Christmas tree out of potted plants, wall lights and red bottles is pretty wacky.

And if we're really wishing for the moon, some pine-swag garlands, or maybe a wreath? and oooh, and the gift-wrapped presents...
2. Hope everyone had a good thanksgiving, good food and time with friends and family. Happy Thanksgiving!

Heya New here

Welcome to the game, Spuddy! Nyght-shade here, from the Dauntless Reverie. I moved to Virtue from another server 4 years ago, and love the player community here. The CoH website is a wealth of info, and City of Heroes Wiki is another great source for Game questions. If you have questions, don't hesitate to ask.
4. Wonderful screenshots! Sorry to have missed it, but congrats to the happy couple.
5. Gorgeous wreath, Warden. Do you mind sharing how you created it?
6. Very nice designs! CaffeineAddict, what option(s) did you use for the tree itself?
7. Really lovely work on the Leytap art, Deebs. And congrats, Elysienne, on being immortalized.
8. As for photo resizing, photobucket's good, and www.flicker.com is another easy option (and free). In Flickr, just upload your pics into an album you create, click on the individual pics and choose a smaller size (small, medium, larger-medium are good choices). Then right click on the reduced-size pic, choose "copy image location", paste that into the forum reply here with at the other end of the URL string, and you're good to go.
9. I'm intrigued by the screenshots of 2 alts embracing. Is that created through photoshop?
10. Married: Nyght-shade and Lo Faan (Monique & Chris). Lo Faan has a long red ponytail down his back, and is usually wreathed in flames. Nyght-shade's skin tone is extremely pale, and her belt contains a massive garnet, charmed and warded to help her control a vampire nature.

Heroes of Paragon, we’ll be gathering at 6pm EST today, Sunday, Oct. 24th in OUROBOROS , the rear of the Menders Platform, for partying, music by Cape Radio (www.thecaperadio.com), dancing, competitions, prizes, and plenty of RP!

We invite you to don costumes personifying your “Echo” or Opposite, and join us tonight in Ouroboros to celebrate the change of Seasons.
13. We'll be posting this year's ECHO location in a few hours, just past midnight EST. Stay tuned!
14. Two more days to go to ECHO! The Dauntless Reverie is getting ready for the party, and looking forward to hosting it for the noble heroes of Paragon.

Watch this thread for the location, which will be released in the very wee hours of Sunday morning!
15. THE DAUNTLESS REVERIE SG

Theme/Concept: The Dauntless Reverie has no formal agenda, no single purpose, no set goals. Ours is a fellowship of individuals touched by magic who seek in their own ways to help others. They are multitudes: creatures of legend, descendants of the divine, beings blessed and cursed, visitors from fantastic worlds, tormented hellspawn, and students of the arcane. But they are all Dauntless: mystic heroes thrust into an urban setting.

The one thing we do seek IC in potential members is "the Will to be Dauntless," the character’s true desire to become a part of this fellowship. This point will be addressed in the IC interview.

The Dauntless Reverie opens for new memberships four times a year, in keeping with the seasons -- Spring (April), Summer(July), Autumn (October), Winter (January). To apply for membership, first register with the Dauntless Reverie website, and after the registration has cleared, log in and go to: Forum –> Introduce Yourself –> COH Applications – Interview Questions (2nd post in the thread). Then click on “Quote”, fill out the form and submit.

RP Level: RP-intensive in teaming, in Coalition and SG channels; chatty, funny and sometimes raunchy OOC in SG Global; and constantly active on our own website forums.

PvP Level: Extremely casual and individually driven.

Activity: Our prime time is predominantly U.S. (EST through PST) evenings and weekends, and we have a weekly SG night (Mondays).

Requirements for Membership: Need to be a good writer (this is more about the strength of your stories than the incidence of your typos!) and mesh socially with the group.

Leadership/In-Game Contact(s): @Rhianwen, @LyteInVirtue, @TheVagabond, @Elysienne (UK time), @Arinara (UK time).

16. A FLYER has been found posted on light posts, trees, building walls, and business bulletin boards throughout Paragon City.

An accompanying card, black with silver and gold finely printed text, is found in a holder close to the FLYER. Heroes also may have received the card in the mail. The text of the card is below.

Quote:
Heroes of Paragon City,

What do an oil tanker in Talos Island, the underbelly of Brickstown, a country bridge in Croatoa, a wooded clearing in Perez Park, a small glade by a stream in Galaxy City, and a city park in Skyway all have in common? They have all played host to The Dauntless Reverie's yearly annual celebration of the coming of The Season of Masks. With great pride, I present...

The 7th Annual ECHO!

So please, join us at the Dauntless Reverie’s 7th Annual ECHO as we celebrate The Season of Masks, and masquerade as your "echo" or "opposite" – a reinterpretation or antithesis of yourself. There will be contests and prizes, music and coverage of the party (graciously provided by The Cape Radio and our own DJ Vangelus), dancing of course, good fellowship and fun.

Festivities will commence at 6 o'clock in the evening EST, Sunday, the twenty-fourth day of October. Please RSVP to Nyght-shade by email on your Paragon PDA, or visit our on-line RSVP form.

The location will be released on the day of the event. Watch your mail-boxes or this location for more information.

We look forward to seeing you there!

Warmest regards,

Fen Monique, otherwise known as Nyght-shade
Epicenter of the Dauntless Reverie

((OOC Info!!!))
What: The 7th Annual ECHO
When: Sunday, October 24th, 6PM Eastern
Where: To be announced!!
Who: All heroes on Virtue!

Music and event coverage by DJ Vangelus, of Cape Radio

Contact: By in-game email to Nyght-shade, in-game “tell” to @Rhianwen, or visit the Dauntless Reverie website to register and post there.

Adding a temporary description to your player ID bio to explain the genesis of your costume helps towards the appreciation of your ECHO costume, and towards having everyone become better acquainted.
17. I caught the tale end of the gathering last month, and am looking forward to it this Saturday.
18. I tried logging in several times early yesterday evening, and just kept getting the "game client unable to connect to server" message. My husband's PC, on the other hand, could log in just fine. I see here that the problem's more widespread, not just my PC or account. Are the Dev's aware of this problem?
19. A very nice surprise indeed. The thing I love about CoX devs is that they do listen to the players. Bravo!
20. And it looks like the West Coast went down again.

22. I too am having mapserve/disconnect issues right now, as is everyone in my SG. When entire teams mapserve and disconnect simultaneously while trying to zone into missions, it doesn't seem in any way logical to blame individual player hardware issues.

Moreover, my graphics card has been handling UM just fine, and when I was on beta-testing for I17 back before the live release, I was not running into the mapserver-disconnect issues. Over the last couple of days, the game has become virtually unplayable. I'm guessing it's a live-release bug the Devs haven't managed to track down yet.
23. Our SG teams had the same problem all night last night. I too had to use the task-manager each time to close CoH down, as that seemed the only way to get past the frozen "mapserved" screen, and it seemed to happen with each new mission.

Having to use the TM to shut the game down over and over and over all evening is not only frustrating, but worrisome, especially when this goes on for days.

Anathema (VG) has no formal agenda, no single purpose, no set goals. It is a fellowship of very disparate individuals who abide by some simple rules: not to harm others in the Warrens, or harm the Warrens itself.

The one thing we do look IC for in potential members is "the Will to be Anathema," the true desire to become a part of this band of rogues. This point will be addressed in the IC interview.
