I do have to say, that charging for the Wedding Pack, they should be prepared to expect complaints from paying customers.
There, I said it.

You working class Americans and all your disposable income! Bah! When will there be an open source version of this wedding pack I can download?

No veil?
[/ QUOTE ]
There is a veil, but as it is bugged atm and shows up as nothing more then a black blanket tied to my character's head, I didn't include it.
[/ QUOTE ]
SWEET! There's an added bonus to the VD pack: you get a free bug!
(This post, like all of mine, was made purely for my amusement. YMMV)

Hard to judge anything from this first attempt. It being tailored to the V-Day event probably is a factor too. Imagine if they did something similar for Halloween?

Actually, that's kind of my fear. IF I wanted more micro transactions, I would play Exteel

Or Rock Band on Xbox Live. HEY WAITAMINNIT...

And you gotta love the "sweet spot" heart codpiece!

Wait, who's lazy here? Because when I saw it was on Test, I was like, "Oh, well." I don't do Test.

Hmmm, ten bucks for mostly female-only costume stuff? It's just crazy enough to work!

You go there expecting pvp. You don't want pvp, don't enter the zone. Period.
[/ QUOTE ]
We are all entitled to opinions. Even you. Still, they are just opinions.
[/ QUOTE ]
Umm, no that's the way the zone is built. Hence the glaring warning from the contact for the zone.
[/ QUOTE ]
Except for the fact that "the way the zone is built" also includes non-PVP PVE content. So you might understand why some non-PVP players might think they could still enter, even with the warning.

How many hours have gone by? It has turned into one of those nights where time has gotten away from me. I stopped blinking a few hours back, and my body tries to tell me to take a break, restroom, food, sleep, anything. I ignore itÂ…

I was nodding in agreement. We've all been there.

I thought CoV was just PvP with PvE content? Nobody plays any of that stuff anyway, right? RITE?

I think this thread should be required reading for all MMO developers.

This thread is too large to read all of it, but I hope they make Stamina inherent.

Hmmm well I have my graphics cranked ...that's not the problem. It's strange really .....it can look real bright on my screen and then be real dark on the screenie.
[/ QUOTE ]
If I'm not mistaken, this is what happens when you adjust the brightness on your monitor (using its contrast/brightness controls) instead of adjust the Gamma setting in-game.
No matter how much you brighten your monitor, the in-game depiction doesn't change unless you lighten/darken the game's base level with the Gamma adjustment.

I remember Loma Prieta. I felt it while waiting outside for a ride to pick me up. In southern Orange County. But the Northridge quake is the biggest one I've been through. I never experienced eternity until those 45 seconds.

It looks like that version of the MOTD has some formatting issues at different screen resolutions.
We'll have a better performing version up shortly.

Two observations about the GMOTD:
1. It doesn't mention Recluse's Victory for high level players.
2. My "dialog_yes" bind doesn't work with it any more. Why not?

After one night of the event, I thought it was super mega awesome with raisins!
I absolutely love the costumes. Switching between them is fun, and gave me a reason to use 3 more of my power trays.
The lag was a little bad, but I dealt with it. Trick or treating was perfect background activity while I watched Heroes!
My only complaint is the generic badge images. But the fun of the costumes far outweighs that minor complaint. Good work, devs!

Ooo, Starchasm, love your Douglas Schuler picture/avatar!
Just email David, he'd be happy to let you know.
He was great to work with. As I sat there fidgeting, trying not to send him an email every 5 minutes, he graciously sent "in progress" pictures as the figure progressed. He gave me a choice of sculpted or real hair. He asked a few questions about the costume and pose. At the end, I thought the color was a bit off, and he carefully re-painted her. When she arrived, I was surprised how carefully he had packed her. I felt like an archeologist unwrapping a rare antiquity.
I can't say enough good things about him. I'm really happy with how well everything turned out.

After I saw the eBay frenzy for the female Master Chief, I checked out the work of David on his DeviantArt page. Then I knew no mere artwork would do; I needed a figure of my favorite character.
I talked with David, and he wanted a pose. I agonized over in-game poses, looked at lots of comic book covers, and finally gave him a few ideas. I wanted my character to be grabbing the cape. He said he knew what to do.
And here's what he did.

It's a bit expensive, but if you have disposable income and want a figure of your own, drop David a line.

Not bad, definately better than I could do, both movie-wise and mission-wise.

Dear Devs,
Please post less. I'd rather you get your work done, and still have time to play with those cool-looking toys on the tables. And if any of you needs a personal sycophant, well you know how PMs work. <wink>
