    Loss of a hero

The loss of a community member is a loss we all feel. Glad to know his legacy lives on.

  2. Good write-up, Clay. How'd you do in the class?

  3. Yes, pre-download is now active.

  4. I hate how some of the feet are sooooo small. Like if you choose bare feet. Why is it that the Stealth boots can make you look like you have clubfeet, but bare feet and sandals and a few others look like your feet have been bound since birth?

i have a problem with 50% of the controller population being Fire/Kin...

I look at it this way... when people see my non-fire/kin controllers, those people know mine aren't FotM builds. Because they're not.

Respec - I don't use these often since I use Midi to design my builds in advance

What type of Midi? Guitar? Keyboard? Drum machine?

So powerful was the explosion that it hurled Bloody Bay OVER Sharkhead Island. Wait... How does that work?"

The Volcano's primary was Super Strength.

    I LOLed. Nice one!

  8. You should record some of these fights on WeGame.com.

For all of those people who are making them but not seeing anyone play them: How are you getting the word out about your arc other than just posting them in your sig?

    [/ QUOTE ]

Unfortunately, advertising arcs is the COH equivalent of putting flyers under windshield wipers.

A small percentage of the overall COH population is into the MA enough to look for new arcs, play, and review them.

Basing my opinion on years of usability testing, I think the vast majority of people quickly reach overload level. They use the search engine to whittle down the flood, and then just pick one of arcs that show up in the first screen. Or they farm Freakshow.

Pity. There's a lot of love being poured into the MA, and most of it remains hidden away. It reminds me of the last scene in the first Indiana Jones movie, when the old dude wheels the crate with the Ark into that huge warehouse.

    anyone still making MA arcs?

    [/ QUOTE ]

I'm sure someone is, because the arc IDs keep increasing.

I only have one in Test mode, never published, that my badger runs from time to time for test mode badges.

Too much good stuff out there already that I'll probably never get to, and like LivingHellfire said, dude, lotta work.

    New smilies?

what new/custom smilies would you like to see?

    [/ QUOTE ]

None. Because if they add new smilies, Villain-side will scream bloody murder because the devs focused on Heroes and hate Villains because they didn't get any new frownies.

Just ask them ... If they lie, you can add them to your ignore list. It's not like ignore is even permanent anymore.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I had to quote this part because it's so frikkin' true. Ignore is a temporary measure now.

Plan A: Charge into the pack of bad guys and start swinging. That works 90% of the time, I'd say.
Plan B: Single-target pull until the group is weak enough for plan A.
Plan C: Herd/Gather an entire group to a safe distance away from other nearby mobs, then go to plan A.

    [/ QUOTE ]

So Plan A is your Plan B for Plans B and C?

Which means someone's great/decent work is being missed out on.

This was the reason I joined, and then quit, three AE teams last night. I wanted to run some of the content I've read/heard about, but all they wanted to do was farm Freakshow.

  15. My favorite Veteran Reward hasn't been awarded yet: the Rune of Warding!

    That being said:

    1. Nemesis Staff / Blackwand
    2. Sands of Mu / Ghost Slaying Axe
    3. Buff pets

I also use various costume pieces here and there, but every one of my characters use the things listed above.

  17. Yeah, I had to quit three separate AE teams last night because they were all running Freakshow farms. Sigh.

    PUI

I never post under the influence. Pretty much because I read the forums at work.

I've played whilst tipsy before, though, due to the occasional after-work martini.

The Login, Market, Global Chat, and MA features of the game all have their own servers, right? Shouldn't they therefore have their own entries in the server status page?

    [/ QUOTE ]

Yes! In fact, I demand that they add all these and turn the whole shebang into an iPhone app.

  23. This girl I used to work with had a dalmation and an African gray parrot. They used to come home from work to find their dog dead tired, and couldn't figure out why. So they set up a video camera.

When the doorbell rings, the dog goes crazy and runs around with excitement.

Parrot learns to mimic the doorbell to "play" with the dog.

Doorbell "rings" all day, so dog gets worn out.

    Mystery solved.
