What is this from? It sounds familiar, but I can't place it and it is bugging the carp outta me . . . (yeah - you heard me - carp!)
[/ QUOTE ]
It's from Star Trek: The Next Generation, the episode Darmok.

You want to know what I hate? I'll tell you!
[/ QUOTE ]
I hate it when people ask me a question when the answer is irrelevant to them.
[/ QUOTE ]
I think Arcanaville is a Vulcan. I want to bear her internetbabies.

I am hoping for a redneck pack myself. With a new travel power that has you inside an early 80s pickup with the back converted into a swimming pool.

And a Trans-Am-on-blocks base item.

Now to be balanced, I should also include things that I love.

Did you know that in ancient times, seagoing vessels were much more fuel efficient? It's true!
They got thousands of miles to the galleon.

A good pun is its own reword.

A respec system that's user-friendly. Something where I can drop a power and pick up another, or move slots around. Not the current system where you start at level 1 and have to do every single thing from the beginning because you want to make a single change.
[/ QUOTE ]
Oooh, nice! Yes, many times on a new character, I've selected a power to see what it's like, and then kept it even if it sucks just because it's too much trouble to respec it out. (If there was a "try it out" feature of leveling up, that'd be even cooler.)
For the longest time, there used to be a Carnie spawn in Talos Island just east of Luminary. That spawn felt the wrath of many a new power. Now those Warriors are dealt the same fate.

...following the rules. What's with this love stuff?
--NT -
There is a conspicuous lack of pictures in this thread.

As long as the powersets are new, I'm not too picky on the priorities.

Roles? We ain't got no roles. We don't need no roles! I don't have to show you any stinkin' roles!

As far as the Hazard Zones, the Devs really need to get back on the program of revamping one hazard zone per issue. They managed to do it for three issues (Faultline, Rikti War Zone, Hollows) and then just stopped. Look, I know that going back to fix and update old content is not as fun or sexy as making new content, but at some point you need to actually fix the old broken stuff instead of trying to bury it under new shinies. The heroside is really showing it's age with all the pre-issue 6 content.
[/ QUOTE ]
I heartily endorse this suggestion.

What is enjoyable about the Rikti Invasion?

Typing "/camdist 300" and watching a nonstop powerfest of fun.

Force-feedback suit with ragdoll support.
USB, of course.

My I16 complaint is, with the proliferation of pink-colored powers, there are no rednecks and homophobes left in the game!

I16: No Speed Suits. (Suck it, Horatio X!)

In my opinion, having an all Boss enemy group IS an exploit. There is no Dev-created group that conforms to that formula, and therefore there is no "natural" encounter that will resemble that situation.
[/ QUOTE ]
Luckily, the dev's opinions seem to differ from yours...
[/ QUOTE ]
If you're going to split hairs, we don't know their opinions (although I can guess). All we do know is their official policy, which is, "Do it until we make it illegal."

Steps to underwater moon zone:
1. Put Council/5th blue room (aka the YMCA room) on the moon.
2. Make the pools two stories deep (instead of two levels of one-story pools).
3. ...
4. Profit!

Im sorry but why the ef is it anyone elses problem to make sure you have an easy go of it?

He's not saying it is. Unfortunately, with so many people working the market, the hyperinflation has made difficult for casual players, who would rather play, get the items that they could (previous to the AE) get rather easily.
Yes, you can make money on the market. But you can't deny that the AE phenomenon has inflated the market pretty dramatically.
Example: Somebody on one of my global channels reported last night that the market activity showed a Boresight common salvage sold for 80 million influence. Rich farmers are pricing regular people out of the market.

I'm against dropping the TF reqs. The reasons being given for doing so aren't any different than the reasons we've heard for 5 years.
[/ QUOTE ]
OK, so what are your reasons for NOT dropping them?
[/ QUOTE ]
Well I for one don't mind that there are a least a few things in a MMO like this that are actually -intended- for a team. There is absolutely no reason that a MMO must be 100% soloable.
With the difficult setting update in I16 people will now have the option to solo all sorts of missions the way they want with that feature. There's no "requirement" that TFs be made accessible that way as well.
Anyway we all know that if you still really want to solo TFs you can get padders. I basically see no reason why that should be "easy" to do when it goes against what the Devs intended for that content. We probably ought to be happy the game will continue to let us play through TFs solo once started to begin with. *shrugs*
[/ QUOTE ]
I agree. (And I left her whole post in because it's all relevant.) There's a workaround today that you can use. But the original intent of TFs/SFs is that they're large team-based challenges.
If you =can= solo them, cool. But there's plenty of other content you can run solo if you want to.

Just as long as PUGs don't switch over to 'WE MUST FIGHT INVINCIBLE +6S. AGH WE DIED NEED MORE HEALXX0RZ!!!'
[/ QUOTE ]
That WILL happen. It happens now. It will be worse with this change.
However, this is also a learning experience for many now and will also be later.
[/ QUOTE ]
If there's one thing this game has taught me, it's that some people don't learn, even when presented with the undeniable evidence.

I hope this bug is only fixed blueside. Just to prove that the devs hate villains.
--NT -
My biggest issue with the setting is, now instead of just teaming with idiots who insist on running challenge level 5, they'll also have everything else cranked to max to get the uber expeez. You know, the same people that don't understand why everyone doesn't love running suicide missions.
