Quote:Off the top of my head, for blueside:So, I could probably use a lot of help in beefing up my knowledge of which taskforces are good matches for badge acquisition. Some of that, I'm sure, can be gleaned from ParagonWiki (a prime research tool).
Synapse - Gears
Citadel - Council (wolves and vampires)
Manticore - Paragon Protectors

Hey, if Star Trek can have obviously inconsistent canon (original series Klingons and "turtle head" Klingons), we can too.

Wonder if there'll be a book signing in the NCSoft booth next year at Comicon?

My advice would be to carefully choose the character that will be your badger. By the gods, I wish I could go back and tell myself years ago, "NO, NOT THAT ONE!"
Choose a character you like playing, that can do damage (and heal, if you want those badges), take damage, and easily navigate to specific locations (I prefer fly for that, but superjump is good too).
I can tell you from experience how hard it is to get healing badges with the Medicine pool tricorder. Oh, you can get them, and you can also build a house out of popsicle sticks.

Yes, I want to see more of you guys this time. Hopefully there will be time in the jam-packed schedule for schmoozing, and this year maybe they'll give us enough tables so some of us don't get shunted to overflow land!

I was having really bad "lag" one night (red bars and sometimes yellow SQUARES on netgraph). I rebooted my router. Awesomeness ensued.

Wait, I thought Westley was PostKount. Why is tuter_king trying to claim that crown?

One of the happiest days of my life was when I got a call at work. She quickly cut off my hello and asked, "Where do I find Clockwork in Steel Canyon?"
One of the happiest days of =her= life was getting her character drawn by David Nakayama at last year's HeroCon. Seriously, it's not just framed, it's practically enshrined.
Hang in there, guys. If =I= can find one, it's only a matter of time for the rest of you.

I didn't read the whole thread, but I agree that the devs should change "Task/Strike =Force=" to "Army of One".

Quote:I'm not. News flash: Not all of us are ubergamers that think purple foes are fun.None of you are mad that they decided to take away the ability to fight +2/+3s in SFs and in Ouro?
See above. Like others, I think this is just temporary to eliminate the "Master of" on -1, but I'm sure you'll eventually be able to crank up the difficulty.
And like KitsuneKnight said, if you really cared about a challenge, you could always use the Ouro-like difficulty settings.

I will also point out that the zombie Halloween event from last year was unleashed by surprise by the devs at HeroCon, which is scheduled =this= year on Oct 24-25.
I tell you, it was a kick in the big computer room, all these people playing the zombiepocalypse, players going berserk about it in broadcast, and the devs standing around watching over our shoulders, grinning the biggest grins ever.

Quote:That may be true, but earning it still means something.If/until they disallow the -1 setting from Master runs, this will sadly not be the case. I find the coolness of the badges lessened by the fact there's no way to know if someone did it on Easy mode or not.
My badger has Isolator. No one but me knows that I worked on it for months, checking for a Contaminated in the RV train station. How I got it doesn't change the fact that I have it.

Welcome, Kylazin (and girlfriend)! Enjoy your stay. And don't worry, five years later, I'm still a casual player. Addicted, but casually...

I'm having great fun with I16. My new traps/AR defender is a blast (ha!), and I'm using him to play up through the "classic" content: no Hollows, no Striga, just old-school stuff. He's already level 12 and I haven't even gotten the Fortune Teller mission yet! (I might have to turn off XP for a while...)
Power Colorization is fun. I've done it on a few characters, but I've left 90% of them with the default (original) power colors. The fun part is seeing what other people have come up with. As with costumes, some can be horrendous, and some can be incredibly creative.
Supersidekicking has changed the game for me. It's amazing, and if any feature could be desired by other MMOs, it'd be this one.
