Quote:I know we can imagine a lot, but I've been constantly and pleasantly surprised at the new things the developers bring to the game. I'm willing to wait it out and see what comes next. And after that.
What's left?

Aw, man, leave it to a stinkin' redname to show up and piss all over our "wishful thinking" parade! <shakes fist>

You know, I didn't even keep track. I even played a couple of 50s in there somewhere. All I know is, it's over, and now I can switch focus back to some of the badges I need.

Ok, fine, screw you guys and your traveling and your body clocks. =I'M= gonna be up early and jazzed for bacon waffles, the perfect belly bomb to start off HeroCon!

Quote:It's tough to be a disenfranchised second-class super-powered being. No, it is that very few people understand that when I mention SFs, people ask if that includes TFs, but that does not happen the opposite way. I'm sick that everything has to be used in wimpy Blue-side terminology.

Quote:(Highlight mine.) Yes, I've been playing up a couple of new characters the old-school way, avoiding all the "new" zones of The Hollows, Faultline, and Croatoa. I'm almost ashamed for new players how much of a chore travel is. And regardless of why, I encounter a LOT of new players these days.Yes, you can largely avoid it if you know which contacts and zones to visit, but new players don't know that. They get dumped off in Atlas or Galaxy, most likely talk to their origin contact there and are thus cast down into the mire of wretchedly cookie-cutter, RIDICULOUSLY TRAVEL INTENSIVE and pointlessly repetitive original content.
I'm not one to hold the game's age against it on the whole, but I make an exception for the launch content. It wasn't that great 5 years ago, and it's ridiculous and embarassing that it's the first game experience new players are offered in the year 2009.
I'm with the Goat. Revamp the old stuff, please.

The "time change" I was talking about is the time zone changes. Flying from the east coast to the west puts you back 3 hours, so that the next morning, by your body clock, 7am is 3 hours later than the bedside clock says.
Like sleeping in.

Quote:With the time change, it's like sleeping in. Math is hard!Either way, sounds like we might be in for some early mornings. I'm afraid I might see Karo drink Mountain Dew for breakfast again! I sense tears coming from the East Coasters.
Quote:Based on this, maybe we should shoot for a 7:30 meeting so that we can (hopefully, assuming no one gets lost this time) make it to the restaurant by 8:00. This is hella early for my schedule, but sacrifices sometimes need to be made

Quote:My heroes are frikkin heroic. It's not always fun to clean and stuff a turkey for Thanksgiving, but I'll be danged if it doesn't taste good when it's done.
More heroic heroes, please
