A friend told me that the odd auras may be related too the Mayhem Mission Temp powers...
The green sparkly aura is the Health one and the smokey tendrils are the Life Insurance.
How do I disable the Temp powers so I don't see these anymore... I would rather be without the temp powers than to keep seeing these aura's... /cry -

The first pic of my character seems to have 3 costume auras, but only on my client. I have asked other players and all they see is the aura I have chosen.
The 2nd pic shows the only aura I have chosen.
As I noted in the pics, this seems to be affecting my client only. Other players see the Electrical Hands aura I have selected.

I have installed CoX on a 2nd computer with an nVidia card (the other one has an ATI) and am getting the same problem. Therefore I have to conclude that the issue is with the character on the server, not my client.
However, as I said in my original post, other people see my costume correctly, so I don't envy you tracking this bug down.
Edit:
Just noticed that my wife's character on a different account has the exact same auras, and she didn't put them there either. Character name is Liquid Fire on Freedom.
So far this seems to be affecting one character on each of our accounts.

Same issue, and on Freedom as well for my villains, will have to check other characters now... I /bug 'ged this last night before finally finding someone with same problem...

I have a similar problem, it seems that when I look at other female characters (mine included) I see smokey auras around them without any effects on. /cry tried on several outfits, tried enabling auras and still saw other auras... latest (and even more previous) nvidia drivers on a 6800 agp card. Cant recall if it was happening before I7 -
Personally, I found myself quite disapointed in the Pen and Paper CoH RPG.
Yes, the data is all there, and it presents itself very accurately.
What bothered me most was that the EDEN Studio's Game Master who ran my session had NEVER played the online game... thus the game became boring for all of the players involved (all who which HAD played the online MMO).
The session was slow, incredibly slow... it took the entire 4 hour session to complete two battle's and some RP'ing. This might have been due to the GM having no experience, but overall I think it was because the system was too slow to mimic the fast paced online play of the MMO.
For novelties sake the game will be a great collection of lore and statistics, but IMO the pen and paper game is too slow to offer me the experience I want.
