I know I would be, once was enough for me.
-
Sounds like fun.
I'll try to remember it this time. -
Always interesting seeing how other people play the game.
Regarding the windows, interface and chat channels you can save a default for that that you can load on all new characters. Just set the windows to the locations and sizes you want, and near the bottom of the general tab of options is save windows to default. This will save the window settings, then when you make a new character choose load from defaults and you've got your settings. You can do the same with chat channels. I set up all channels I use, from multiple servers and saved them as default, then when I make a new toon I load from defaults and then remove the extra channel tabs.
There a few problems with this system. Power trays 2 and 3 will not show up, you need to expand them. Extra trays will show but powers and macros need to be placed manually, in all trays including 1 to 3. I really wish there was a way to load macros from a file or something. Also, you can only save one default so make it as generic as possible. It has to apply to both red and blue side, and lately I've noticed the default will also set the interface colour, so if you save it red side and use it on a new hero, you'll need to change the interface colours back to blue. Oh, the combat attributes won't be saved, you need to set those up each time. -
Damn, sorry Valor, I completely forgot about this until I saw this thread again today. I think I was just finishing up an MoSTF attempt at that time.
I was online, but as I said I forgot and I didn't see any posts in the global channels to remind me. Later in the day I even mentioned starting an LGTF and didn't remember this one.
Again sorry about that. -
I look forward to the merge. It'll be nice to have more stuff available red side. Currently there are things you just can't buy red side due to the low supply. I've had decent bids on some recipes sitting for 6 months or more because there are just none for sale.
It will also be nice to be able to sell the pet recipes that drop on blue side.
I'm not sure exactly what'll happen to prices. As people mentioned elsewhere, the prices will be determined by player behaviour more than the merge. With so much to do in GR at all levels it's hard to say how that will affect the market, but the merge will give more users and more supply so that should be an improvement.
Regarding price caps, I agree with Macskull and the others. We can see how the current cap of 2 billion affects some of the PVP IOs already, but those are super rare and desirable, so they're kind of a special case. A lower cap would result in more stuff going off market, or having to wait in a line of hundreds for your capped bids to be filled.
It'll be interesting to see how the reboot of the market will affect prices. -
Quote:I was thinking the same thing. I don't have billions of inf, and most of my characters have very little or nothing on the market, but I do have a few purple recipes stored on the market.Couldn't agree more. However, come close to GR golive, I will be one of those making damn sure that I have nothing on the market one way or the other.
As a sysadmin, I do not leave anything to chance when it comes to database migrations.
I plan to clear my market slots out before release just to be safe. -
Quote:Others have answered the kb IO questions, but I wanted to correct this. KB can be stacked, but the hits have to happen at exactly the same time. I assume they both have to be in the same server tick.KB doesn't stack as other controls do - its an instantaneous effect, either the single attack has enough KB to knock you down/back or it doesn't. You can get hit by multiple attacks in a row that 'chain' KB you but even then with the rag doll physics model they use it has to be timed just right AND each hit still has to be enough to overcome your KB protection.
I've done this with a teammate before, and I've had it happen to me with stacked grenades. My teammate and I both had knockdown attacks, but a few times if we hit the enemy at the same time he got KBed. These were enemies that we had both KDed earlier, but when stacked they went flying back. -

Thanks to Sisterhood for the event, it was fun. And thanks to Gel for running a test run Sunday morning. We were successful on that and I got the badge on my main. That was my first successful run, and I think helped with the run later in the afternoon.
Also, Team Cake, hehe. I wonder if there was a debate on whether it should be cake or pie? -
Operating System (Vista, XP, OS X version): Win 7
User Client (Mac/PC/Linux): PC
Emote: Dimension Shift
Server: Test of course
Character name: any
Bug Description: The dimension shift cc emote doesn't play correctly when a defensive toggle is running. When the toggle is running dimension shift will make you fade out, but the copies animation and sound don't play. The toggle's activation animation plays instead. Tested with weave, tough, invincibility, etc. Seems like any toggle with an animation on activation will stop the dimension shift animation and sound to not play. This was also verified by other testers on the Testers global channel. -
Well my first try was probably a year ago, but as I recall the leader wasn't a very good leader, and the team didn't work together very well. Whether we would've done better and everyone would've listened to a better leader I can't say.
My second try was a team lead by Nemu on test. I think it was during dual pistols beta so we had lots of blasters and some defenders. We probably would have succeeded with a better balanced team.
Anyway, I look forward to trying it again. I'm sure we'll have fun whether we succeed or not. -
Wow, all of those look great. I think you sold me on the mutant booster the moment I saw that first succubus picture.
Looks like I need to fire up test when I get home. And I just realized I haven't reinstalled test since I upgraded my PC. -
I'll be there. I've only done this trial twice and failed both times. Hopefully we do better this time.
-
Yep it was fun as always. Like Tax, I didn't get our task force name, but I'm confident Gel's name won anyway.
-
Thanks for the TF and the badge Infernal. We had a death in the second missions and had to restart, but we got it, and it was fun too so even better.
-
I hope I can make it to this, I think I'll be free by that time. My family is in town again this weekend. My cousin is getting married Saturday, and we're going to the zoo Sunday.
If I'm back in time I'll be there. -
Yeah, that's a cool map. Unfortunately, I missed this, and all the other events this weekend. Between the yard and house work I haven't been on all weekend.
-
I've done this too, posting salvage on the black market I missed the post button a few times and ended up adding numbers to the same piece. When I finally managed to hit post it went up for 2 billion. My character who had 105 million at the time was suddenly down to 5 million.
-
Yeah, I saw that after I posted. I think I might have to miss next week too unfortunately, but hopefully I'll be there for the following week.

Quote:Good to hear Infernal, I got MoSTF on my first try largely through the help and leadership of one of your fellow SG mates. Before a channel is made, I want to let you guys know that Shadow Shard Shaturdays will be put on hold after this weekend and it will be converted into "Master of Saturday" where the Crimson Order will run one Mo TF every Saturday at 1pm EDT. We'll do it for a few months so folks can snag those highly sought after badges, then we'll return to Shadow Shard Shaturday and will likely switch between the two events every few months. I was going to make the "official" post later this evening, but figured I'd give a heads up in advance since it seemed appropriate.
When we start doing the 'Master of ____' runs I'll shout it out in the Sisterhood Friends and Crimson Order global channels, as well as coalition channel. The word usually spreads like wild fire from there anywhere and I'm sure it'll find its way into LB. Cappy is also usually pretty good about posting stuff like that in the MotD with enough notice so I'll try to make sure he knows about it.
I can't make this Saturday, but I'll be there for as many as I can. -
Yeah, I watch the NPC chat too for the jokes like that and the warning of ambushes.
I've seen that before, there're lots of little jokes like that in the dialogue. Another good one is the chat from the npc villains in the thorn tree mission in the STF.
