If you want to remove that TP beacon there's a menu option that will show all items in a room. You can use this to select and sell the beacon even when you can't click it in the room itself. I can't remember exactly where the option is to bring that up, but go into the room in base edit mode and you should see the option somewhere int he menus at the bottom.
  2. Congrats Yeti! If the nursing courses there are anything like here the course loads are ridiculously high, so good work. And welcome to the night shift.

I've got the temp rez on a few characters too, it's quite handy. I plan to take it on all support toons without in set rezzes. I'll likely craft it for a few non support types as well.
  4. I don't know about incarnate salvage, but during the Halloween event a friend told me they hit the cap for Halloween salvage at 255 or so. I suspect Incarnate salvage will be similar, if not higher.
  5. If your team was anything like ours the frequent Blizzards may have had something to do with the 5 stacked SBs.

Be sure to do this early, but not too early. I've tried to do this on steamrolling teams, but usually wait too late. I don't want to do it too early and overwhelm them, but if you wait too long they all start charging to the next spawn, just as they get TPed onto the corpses of the freshly killed spawn.

Heh, sounds like fun. I like the name, and the kick counter is a nice touch.
  7. Bad news, but thanks for the update.

I predict we'll never hear a dev mention an actual date again. From now on it'll be back to Soon(TM).

Yeah, I've seen the shadow copies use level 32 powers, but I guess they need an advantage to offset their AI disadvantages.

My KM stalker has Hess unlocked, I finished it last weekend, so he could probably run one next Monday.
  9. Yeah the Talos run went really well. We had enough people and we all got onto the same ship so it went fast.

I did demorecord it, but sadly it got overwritten when I forgot to change the filename before clicking the macro again, and that was the only run where we had enough people.
  10. We may gather at 8:30 edt, but we have ot wait for an invasion, which could be a while. they seem to be coming in waves with a decent time between.
  11. I haven't done a dropship raid yet, I'm interested in joining.

It's too late, I need sleep and shouldn't be near the market. So if any of you had a big surprise on your junk salvage, consider it a belated Halloween treat. =)

And, I need to figure out how to take screenshots of the UI on a Mac, all I can do is get the background.
I sort of did something similar once, but it was posting things for sale not bidding so I didn't give anyone the inf, just lost it to posting fees. I stopped at the market to post all my salvage. I think I was posting for something reasonable like 250 or 500 inf. (I don't do that anymore, now I post for 5.)

This was in the old market so I had to retype my prices for each one then post and do the next one. However, at some point I stopped properly clicking post and kept adding to a single price and eventually posted some white salvage for 2 billion inf. The posting fee was 100 million. I didn't even give it to another player, I sent it off into the aether.

Yeah that was painful, at the time my character had about 200 million and he was my second wealthiest. So I lost half of my inf, and just stared dumbly at the market interface for a bit trying to figure out how to unpost it and get my money back. After complaining in a global channel I removed the posting and continued on my way while sulking about my lost monies.
  13. I didn't mean to be a judge, I just showed up to see the fun, and lead people into the base.

That's too bad Mystic, you've always got good costumes.

Yeah, when I saw Double Feature I had to check the global name to see that it wasn't you.
  14. I've had that happen too. There seems to be no way to click on anything, I don't think I could even alt-tab out of the game to close the program that way. I could alt-tab, but the cursor stayed as an inspiration and still couldn't click anything. The only way I could get rid of it was to use ctrl-alt-del and close the game that way.
  15. Part of the reason for holding it in the base is to avoid the griefers that tend to show up to disrupt contests in Atlas, but it may be worth moving it to somewhere more accessible but out of the way so more can attend. The other reason for the base is to use a stage that's been set up for this.

Cimerora would be limited to those who are 35+ and have run the midnighter arc, but Pocket D or RWZ could work. Any of the less popular zones could be used as well to cut down, if not eliminate any griefing. RWZ does have the advantage of the combat dummies to allow people to show off their powers. The arena could be used as well, like PERC did for their recent contest, but I'm not very familiar with how Arena works.

Yeah, it would be nice to be able to use a teammate's base, no matter your affiliation, but we can't yet. I think it was Posi that said they want to allow us to but can't yet, for technical reasons I guess.

Try using this command to make a macro:

    /macro <name> inspexec_pet_name <insp_name> <pet_name>

I remember talking with you about the brute vs scrapper on Sunday. The brute has lower base damage, and less +damage from Build up and AAO, but the main thing seems to be the low damage cap on Shield Charge. Because it's a pseudo pet Shield Charge is limited to 400% damage for both brute and scrapper, so the brute can't take advantage of the higher cap they have.

The base damage of a power is 100%, and cap is 400% so that leaves 300%. It's easy for a brute to go over that cap. 78% fury is 156% damage, plus Build up (80%), AAO (55%) and 95% damage enhancement in the power equals 386% damage. So right there you're wasting 86% +damage. That's without outside buffs, and multiplied by the brutes lower base damage.

I think you'll enjoy the fire/shield, I've been having fun with mine. He's only 20 so far and does massive damage. Combined with a purple inspiration, or your FF fender to hit soft cap and he's plenty tough enough to keep going.

I think you'll get your weapons to go with your shield soon. In the thread where they asked for alternate animation ideas, all sword and no sword options were a popular request for fire melee. I look forward to all swords myself.

Regarding Mega's squishiness at low levels, Inherent fitness means we can take fighting on our scrappers and brutes much earlier. I'm looking forward to taking lots of good powers much earlier in all my builds after i19.

Looks like others have already replied to this, but as mentioned turning in Halloween salvage has a chance to spawn zombies, banners, or nothing. The Zombie invasion will also spawn on completion of a Katie TF or a Tarikoss SF.

I don't think there's been an official post regarding this, but around the time of i17 I first saw others mention it here on the forums. Since then I've been on a few Katies and Tarikoss SFs, and a zombie invasion always triggered on completion.
  20. Sorry guys, those of you who are planning to bring villains will need to go all the way to hero for this. The judging will be inside the SG base, and Rogues can't access hero bases. They still count as villains for base purposes.

    Daylight Again?

Heh, two years ago on Oct 18th I started playing the trial. That was also the day the Halloween event started. It took me almost a week to realize the perpetual night, broken only by the red sky of zombie invasions, was part of the event and not normal. I didn't see proper daylight and blue skies until the after the two week trial was over and I had bought the game.

This is especially useful since you'll be taking Hasten anyway, so it doesn't even need a power pool pick wasted on it like "Stealth" would. And you get a "free travel power" too.

Superior Invisibilty is currently one of the worst methods in the game of attaining "Full Stealth" (Group Invis is close behind it since it wears off as soon as you do anything instead of Suppressing Temporarily). IMO it is therefore completely skippable, and hardly qualifies as "one of the three best powers in Illusion".
Group Invisibility doesn't wear off or suppress in combat. If you attack the stealth stays on, it only suppresses when you click a glowie. Unfortunately, when it suppresses after a glowie it doesn't come back. I've been able to live with that so far, as I can usually get to the glowie within the duration of the power and then it's recharged soon after.

Personally, I went with group invisibility on my ill/sonic. I like it but can see reasons to take other invisibility powers.

Regarding the OP's question, I haven't done Emp so unfortunately I can't help there.
  24. 1.) Sure more raids would be great. Not sure I'd join more than one per week, depending on the time, but it would be good for those that may not be able to make one raid to have a chance at others during the week.

2.) I suppose I could lead a mito team, as mentioned it's just a matter of keeping your team on the same target.
  25. So we set the pace by having Gel fear and kill the judges? Nice
