All MM train and upgrade powers last until the pet dies, and they are AOE so you only need to cast it once and it will affect all pets within 30 feet (or maybe it's yards) of the target pet.
So you only need to cast it when you resummon a pet. -
The easiest way to see the new costume pieces is probably to select the magician outfit in the top drop down menu. That will give you an outfit using all new pieces. Then you can go into the sub menus and see what the pieces are called, and see what, if any, the other new pieces are. (They should be right next to each other if there are two pieces in one category.)

Sounds good Vaxy, I'll be there for whatever I can. I don't have a Dom, but I have a stalker. If I can get him to 45 in time I'll be there, he's 40 now.
I'm quite happy with him right now, because I tanked Barracuda for most of the fight on the Renault SF last night.
Good to have you back by the way, see you at the raid tonight. -
I've tried this tactic, but it didn't seem to make much difference to me. Yes, it fired missiles because that was pretty much all it had, but it didn't seem much more often than normal. I found that without flamethrower and the second plasma blast the assault bot would pause and do nothing for a second or two every once in a while.
Personally, I think the chance that it might use flamethrower and delay the missiles for a bit is worth the alternative of not doing anything while it waits for missiles to recharge. I'm not that worried about such a small change to dps when I can already melt most spawns anyway.
Plus, as was mentioned the second plasma blast is another source of -regen, and the flame thrower is cool anyway.
Oh, and the first time you lose a bot in combat and have to re-summon and equip/upgrade the assault bot will get flamethrower anyway, unless you send it away. That seems like more hassle than it's worth.
So my feeling is it may have been worth it when you could increase pet recharge and have them spam missiles over and over, but now that that's no longer possible, I don't think it's worth it. -
The only problem with using self-destruct first is the knockback it has. Those who survive the self-destruct have a good chance of being KBed out of RotF range.
Still worth a try though, and I intend to do so when my /fire scrapper and fire epic blaster get to that point. -
My favourite is the heavy rock, especially when you use it right away to get rid of it... and miss.
Yeah that was a nice little bonus. -
I don't have any suggestions regarding powersets or a flying scrapper, but I figured I'd give you an idea of what to expect from the new hover speed.
With the new base speed swift plus 95% fly enhancement in hover should give you about 25 mph hover speed. That's about the same as the run speed from swift plus sprint. I think that should be enough speed, and with SR you should get a further boost from quickness. -
I ran one last night that took 1:25 on difficulty level 3.

If you don't mind another MM I'll bring Laser Storm my level 42 bots/storm. Global is @Night's Dawn

Don't count on the sleep effect working very often. The sleep is mag 2 so it's minions only, but the area is only 2 feet. So they literally have to be standing shoulder to shoulder for it to work.
The sleep effect is actually a pet summoned by the Blind power. Notice the link to the pet summon on the right side at the bottom of the effects. -
Achilles will cause aggro when it fires, but if it doesn't fire there will be no aggro.
Also, Surveillance has a to hit check, so you may want accuracy in it so it doesn't miss. -
My highest level villain is a bots/storm. He's a former Crey robotics engineer who worked on a highly sensitive project. In order to keep the project secret Crey eliminated all the members. Rather than waste such a valuable resource by killing them, they kidnapped them and used them as test subjects.
My character gained storm powers as a result of these experiments. Of course he escaped, but then ran into some heroes and had a "misunderstanding" involving a few tornadoes and lightning storms, and ended up in the Zig. Now he's out and combining his new found abilities with his old skills. -
Defense also helps when stealthing past drones. If they hit you your stealth will suppress and all the enemies will attack you. So if necessary use some purple inspirations to raise your defense so they miss when they shoot at you, and you can maintain stealth and keep going.
Also, rush past drones as quickly as possible. This limits the number of attacks they can make, and if you go quick enough they might not even get a shot off. -
It's not in the index for the Brute guides, but if you look at the more recent posts in that thread there's Phosphorescency's Be the Barbarian guide, and in the tank guides there's this slightly older axe guide by Maltese_Knight.
I have an axe/wp at 30 that I'm enjoying. Fury buildup is slower than my elec melee, but seems similar to my super strength brute. Get the enemy attacking you and they can help you build fury quickly.
It feels very brutal and I like the knockdown and knockup effect, and you get lots of cool choices for weapons. -
Actually the Redding rifle colours can be changed. When you unlock it you get two versions. The standard with fixed colours, and a second version that lets you select two different colours. Not sure what the exact names are for them though.

That would make sense, and I could be wrong. If so then the wiki is wrong too. It lists Talos as 20-27 and IP as 22-29.
-
You probably know much or all of this already, but you can only get radio missions in a zone appropriate to your level. So at level 27 you could get missions in Talos or IP. However, I believe Talos ends at 27 so you may outlevel that soon, whereas IP goes up to 29 or so.
When you do enough missions you can talk to the detective in that zone to get the bank mission. He will show up in your active contacts list.
I'm not sure exactly how it works, but I think if you outlevel the zone before you talk to the detective he will say he has nothing for you, even if you have filled his bar. I could be wrong and there may be a few levels of grace period, but that's why I say IP may be better than Talos for you at this point. -
IP safeguard is the level 25-30 range, if you're not in that range you'll have to find someone else who is and join them when they get it.
Here's the wiki link for the safeguards. -
Unless something's changed in the last few days the juggle emotes do work while hovering, but only if you're not moving.
-
Keep the -kb immob applied and you can use tornado for it's 500 or whatever points of damage with no scatter.

To reiterate the sentiment that any team is a good team. I was on one of the 10 million bullet ITFs. 7 Assault Rifle blasters and one Assault Rifle corruptor. The corruptor's secondary was dark miasma. Now it was pretty chaotic with people generally shooting at multiple groups in different directions, but I don't remember the cor using his debuffs, though I'm sure he did against the AVs.
Granted the ITF is not the most difficult TF, but many consider AR to be weak, or at best mediocre, and we tore the Romans up. The only deaths were the AR/energy blapper, who kept trying to melee the cyclops and minotaurs. Requiem lasted less than a minute, and we had no trouble with the bot control console.
Heh, as one person put it, while we fought our way up the valley of lag, "Ambush, meet 8 Full Autos".
So yeah, any team with 8 decent players is good no matter what the ATs or power sets. -
The ED capped speed of hover with one SO/IO in swift is now about 25 mph. I expect the best you could get with more slots in swift and global bonuses would be maybe 30 mph. If that's fast enough for the op great, but I would find it still way too slow.
Edit to add: With the new base speed Fly can now be speed capped with less than two slots. I have two Blessing of the Zephyrs in mine giving 58% enhancement, and capping the speed. It may even be possible to cap it with less I'm not sure. -
I've noticed a similar problem, sometimes the hair will set to fury or something like that, most of my characters are bald. When this happens to me reset does nothing, but if you go in and manually set it to what it was before it's fine. The cost will disappear once you manually set it back to what it was.
I don't know what causes it, but I've never seen it affect anything but the hair. -
I agree, I missed tonight's raid, but was there for the last few and they've been doing a great job. Of course I still want Vaxy back, but Valor and Steele will do fine raids in her absence. We can't let those Rikti rest.

Red Side?
8 Masterminds.
That's basically the game turned into mush.
[/ QUOTE ]
You beat me to it. I was just about to say 8 MMs all with varying powersets to complement the rest of the party. However 8 FF mms would be pretty snazzy, I don't think anyone would take any damage at all.
[/ QUOTE ]
Eight /FFs would be overkill as well, at least as far as defense goes. I think 2 maybe 3 FF is enough to cap defense on their own.
Plus FF doesn't provide any extra damage through buffs or debuffs, just defense.
