Does it count if I don't have a desk?

Gaming laptops FTW!

I started off with no desk either......lol -
Howdy.
Okay. I remember seeing a thread like this a few years ago. I can't find it anymore, nor do there seem to be any recent ones, so I was hoping to get to see the setups of others again.
But it wouldn't be right for me to ask without posting any of my own set up, now would it. So here goes:
Original setup: Taken back in 2007. I made a bit of a mess that day looking for something....I forget what. The yellow car you see is the transformer Bumblebee. (I got him for a christmas present that year.)
Recent view 1 I got that set of swords as an anniversary present when I was still in the USAF.
Recent view 2
Recent view 3 The larger Ipod belongs to my wife......
Sorry for the lower quality of the pictures.....I had to use an older camera. -

This is my newest toon. He is a 5 foot tall "rapper" and a Sonic/Psychic blaster. Enjoy!

Is his new album really that bad? -
So YOU'RE that Dark Armor lover that I've heard of.....
-
My scrappers: (all of them are 50)
Martial Arts/Super Reflexes
Broadsword/Regeneration
Spines/Invulnerability
Dark Melee/Willpower
I want the 5th to be katana, but am undecided whether to make him /Dark Armor or /Fiery Aura. -

The LRSF is impossible for all but the most ardent powergamers, or teams with mind doms, or scores of nukes. Either reduce the level of the phalanx, spread them apart, or remove the chain aggro rule.
[/ QUOTE ]
Hmm.....then I wonder how multiple teams I've been on during the LRSF was able to rush the entire Phalanx and still win? (No nukes, no mind doms....we just wailed at everything in sight)
I've been on teams with VEATS and Mind Doms as well....but the LRSF is perfectly doable without them. -
This morning.
Them: care to join a farm
Me: No
Them: omg u r probably 25 yo with no life or gf and you sit around playing video games what a loser how much can your life be????
Me: Okay. /ignore
(He was right.....I am 25. I don't have a social life, nor do I care to. I also have no GF.....I am two years into marriage. It did make for a good laugh)
Maybe this should've gone into that rude tells thread...... -
I'm inclined to think that it was forgotten about.
-
I am a fan of high difficulty levels in all games, so I'd take high volumes of tough foes. I love a challenge. Easy foes......I just don't get the appeal.
-
Remove healing decay and travel suppression, and I'd PvP again.

Anyone who thinks that CO and DCUO will not have a significant effect on the # of subscribers to this game does not understand economics. Im not trying to get into a COHvsCOvsDCUO and which one is going to be better(because no one knows definitively). Just pointing out that people will leave this game and after COH being around for 5 years chances are it will be in greater numbers than new subscribers are coming in. Its all about the product life cycle.
[/ QUOTE ]
So just because CoX is five years old it's automatically going to die when new games come out? You might want to look up a little thing called Everquest. An understanding of 'economics', aside from being largely irrelevant to what you said, doesn't mean that competetion equals DOOM.
As a matter of fact, the release of CO and DCUO may even provide some benefit to our game, as their advertising dollars may bring new gamers into the MMO market in general and the superhero niche in particular. While it's a given that some of our players will try out these games, either playing both or leaving this one for one of the others, I suspect we're also going to see people jumping ship in the other direction. This game has an established community, a wealth of content, an amazing ability to customize the look of your character that continues to get better and impressive graphics which (IMO) look much better than cell shading. We'll be fine.

Maybe when those things started to pile up they should have DONE an engine overhaul A YEAR AND A HALF AGO
[/ QUOTE ]
If they have made the changes, Johnny, you'd still be upset and threatening to leave over something
[/ QUOTE ]
I saw someone's sig that was along the lines of this:
The devs could implement perma double xp, create three new powersets a week and give you any IO anyone could ever want, and someone would still be upset about it. -

"Champions Online is new so it will kill CoX"
I got tired of hearing it too. Most of this seems to come from people who left here bitter
[/ QUOTE ]
Maybe you should wonder WHY they're leaving bitter.
Maybe the devs should too.
Could it be that after years of asking for things they want, THESE devs still wont deliver on them but OTHER devs will?
Could be it that few or none of these things look like they will be in the overblown issue 16 they're calling an 'expansion'?
Or that the expansion means that a true sequel to CoH (which may have the things those people want) is not going to happen any time soon?
If our devs refuse to give these players what they want, and other devs will, why should the players be happy with our devs and why should they stick around? And leaving quietly doesn't deliver the message to these devs WHY people are leaving.
If the devs get the message they may smarten up.
Or they may opt not to fight for their business. Frankly, if they're not willing to fight for their customers, that says a lot about how they feel about their customers, and how their customers should feel about them and the game.

i think a lot of what you're saying is based on false assumptions and trying to perceive everything in the most negative light. Of course this is just my opinion. While i don't think the Devs have done everything perfectly, i do think that, PVP changes aside, overall the game has changed for the better since NCsoft took it on.
Since you haven't actually given a concrete example of what you consider to not have been given that should have, or what has been done wrong, my reply will have to be very general in nature as well.
Honestly, if those other games are giving you everything you always wanted here, but were denied out of spite, i think you should go play them. If you change your mind you can always come back.

I have Butane on ignore, so someone quoting his post made me see it.
Okay: People leave here bitter because they don't get from the devs what they want. I HIGHLY doubt that these type of people won't do the same thing when CO goes live if a feature they want does not get implemented. Yes, CO will have some features that we don't (or won't) due to the limits of the engine. But it does not say that everything will be possible. I guarantee you, someone will say similar things about CO because the devs promised something, but never made. And they will leave that game bitter.
I'm not debating that CO won't give us competition at all. I just don't think it will outright kill this game. It IS possible for multiple MMOs of a similar genre to exist. (As said in earlier posts). It makes it seem like CO guys would rather have their competition wither and die than have any at all.
Thought: Five years from now, the cycle will continue. Some new game will come out in 2014, and people will claim that it will kill CO or DCUO. (Probably from the same people who will leave CO during those five years from bitterness) -

I was playing my Martial Arts/Invulnerability Scrapper all day yesterday.
The only problem I know about Martial Arts is that the attacks actually use more Endurance than they should for their damage. Maybe one of the number crunchers can tell me if that is still true?

MA/Invuln.......I need to try that. -
"Champions Online is new so it will kill CoX"
I got tired of hearing it too. Most of this seems to come from people who left here bitter, or others who mindlessly jump onto a brand new bandwagon every time it starts.
It was an interesting post, however. -

Mine was nerfed BIG TIME. The mobs weren't anything special, they were claw-regen Lt.'s. After the nerf, they gained focus-power which allowed them to drop lvl 50 tanks like they were punks. Killed my entire story arc. Not to mention the fact that even 'throwing knives' have sniper-range.
[/ QUOTE ]
I haven't played MA missions since the patch went live, but Throwing Knives having the range of a sniper shot seems a tad excessive. -

Negative. -
I can remember a few years ago, I got into an argument with someone who said that scrappers getting elemental sets was never going to happen.
Scrappers got Fire in Issue 12.
I don't know if you're playing the game anymore, or if you even read the forums, but if you can see this (and you know who you are) I was right. -
[ QUOTE ]
But ever since the release of issue 14 and then soon after they applied the big nerf COX has become very boring and I think i14 was a big mistake NCsoft has made to date. I have been playing for five years and have enjoy it until i14. Now no one plays regular mission anymore and TFs are none existance. Plus when was the last time anyone has ever setup a good raid and or Eden trail mission. I think COX has gone to the dogs. The game is no more fun and to many players go AFK during a mission making it nearly impossible to complete one. I am sorry to say to you NCsoft, but you suck at game support and development. I wish Crytpic would come back and make this game right again.

Have fun in Champions, and if they don't deliver, be sure to copy and paste this. -
Revamp the game using the Unreal 3 Engine
....yeah, yeah. That'd only happen if someone had the power to do so just by snapping their fingers. -

As said in another thread, I'm a huge fan of Final Fantasy Blue Mages, so I support this.
But man, here, it seems unlikely. Still doesn't mean I'm not for the idea.
