    Inv/War Mace?

Problem with Hover is that it makes you too slow, Combat Jumping would be far more useful for herding.

Invoke Panic is great on paper, tried it once on my Inv scrapper and respecced it out because its duration is pants, although now with the appropriate recharge bonuses may be worth if it can recharge fast enough, maybe even to stack (if can be stacked by same caster and the recharge times allow it).

Hmmm, dammit now I want to try Presence Pool on my WP/Axe
  2. WP makes stoopidly survivable tanks, the problem seems that the taunting effect of RttC is not that good for keeping aggro and you have to spam taunt constantly (my spines/wp scrapper can steal the aggro from many WP tanks). Inv gives great aggro control and usually breezes through early lvls, you'll start having trouble from lvl 40 onwards when the serious psi dmg starts showing up.

Both are great tanks and Inv makes in my opinion the best tank for STF while WP makes a highly survivable tank everywhere even without sets.-

Thx for fun TF, much needed and very much enjoyed which is not common on Posi runs

Finally I am pretty certain I want to go for stamina, I think every character can greatly benefit from this, but would the powers be better used?

    [/ QUOTE ]

tbh i dont think that you'll NEED stamina.. sure its useful but especially if you slot an end red in each attack then stamina isnt of much benefit... maybe think about taking it 30 or later.. but quick recovery is far better and the 3 powers required to have stamina could be much better used elsewhere

    [/ QUOTE ]

Not really, hurdle, swift and health are great powers to have plus Health and Stamina are useful to maximize the WP strengths, specially Health.

On the other hand, stamina on a wp is often taken after lvl 30 since it's not crucial, very helpful but not crucial.

    IO's

Depends on the influence you have and how lucky you are with drops. To put all the inf together you'll need to farm, either repating mishes or doing lots of TF's then depending of the influence you have available you might decide to go for the recipe and craft it yourself or if it's worth to buy the enhancement.

Sometimes I found out recipes selling for almost same price than the enhancement itself. Also bear in mind that lvl 47 - 48 or 49 recipes/enhancements might be cheaper and give almost same percenteage boost, I am happy enough with lvl 45 enhancements/recipes if I get a drop or if I can get them much cheaper than the lvl 50 ones.
  6. Count me in with Toximus Mini, lvl 39 Spines/WP
  7. Hmmm,

I wouldn't go for 4xdmg IO's on either gloom and Dark Blast, 3 of them in each should suffice (ED) or 4xdmgres on electric armor, again 3 should suffice.
I'd also slot Fearsome Stare for ToHitDebuff instead of Fear, plus I'd remove the Heals on your Dark Servant and either make them holds or recharges in your Howling Twilight which I'd take as soon as available.
Agreed with what was said about Air Superiority being more useful than hover for dmg mitigation.

I found Moonbeam can be used reliably soloing even at melee distance, however gets constantly interrupted when on teams though, so prolly your choice depending on how often you solo or team, if you want to use it just for pulling, then I guess 1xacc on base slot should do the trick.
  8. Hmmm I'd take Howling Twilight much sooner, it is not only a mass rez but also a mass disorient and -regen, comes handy in many many occasions. About last 3 powers, Dark Embrace will stack nicely with your Shadow Fall at least for negative dmg res, you could go Mu Mastery if you want the epic shield to stack with Shadow Fall's energy dmg res though.

Not sure you need 3 single target holds: Soul Storm, Petrifying Gaze and Dark's Servant's Petrifying Gaze so maybe Mu Mastery would work better for you.-
As the Dark Servant's healing is pretty random and not too reliable, you are better slotting him with 1xacc, 3xtohitdebuff and either free last slot or use a hold IO on that.
Also your Fearsome Stare could use ToHitDebuff IO's instead of Fear ones.

I'd also try Frost Breath a bit sooner (if possible), it will help you keep your victims inside the tar patch for easier arresting, although that probably makes too many powers to take earlier I guess.

Anyway, what I said is just personal preference, Dark Miasma always rocks

Ah well, it was fun run, pity there wasn't much competition on race

    [/ QUOTE ]

If you want competition maybe you shouldn't INV+TP while every other team goes without.

    [/ QUOTE ]

But... but... but that means no fun waiting for the other teams at the mish door, I guess competition is overrated then

Should be ok for raids, no idea about PvP tbh, all I know about PvP is how to faceplant nice and easy

  12. I'll try to be there with Toximus Mini, lvl 39 Spines/Wp scrapper

    IO's

Yup, my estimate is 600 million inf for that build. I tried a quick build with the power selection I'd go for which would be much cheaper (well, 300 - 400 mill) but my internet connection failed when posting it

Anyway, I am known to exaggerate on estimates so it could be cheaper anywyay
  14. Nightmarer

    IO's

    Heh,

Just noticed that in Soaring Dragon, I meant a full Mako's Bite set instead of 4xMako and 2xCrushing Impact, sorry about that
  15. Nightmarer

    IO's

I made a few changes to your build because you had a few sets capped hence not active (a same % bonus can be only stacked 5 times) and I took it to what I think may make a more survivable scrapper.

I also removed Gambler's Cut and put Lotus Drops instead for more AoE damage.

I don't think defdebuff (Touch of Lady Grey) is needed on a Katana attack, but if you want to slot an attack with it, probably Lotus Drops is the best one because it will reduce the defence of up to 10 foes making the job a bit easier for your team mates.

Also, Conserve Power does not need endrdx because it basically makes your powers use far less endurance, hence what you need is 3 recharges on it.

As you don't have Aid Self I boosted your regeneration, your HP and your defence (that's an obsession of mine, sorry) for better survivability.
It would be interesting for you to get the Accolades that boost HP and endurance, such as Atlas Medallion, Freedom Phalanx Reserve Member, Portal Jockey and Task Force Commander, both your blue and green bars will notice them greatly.

Also I boosted your recovery since 6 slots on Stamina are not required, Enhancement Diversification makes more than 3 same enhancements on same power pretty much useless.

This is probably not the power selection I would go for but it is just my personal opinion, hence I only changed 1 attack, took Lotus Drops instead of Gambler's Cut.

I hope you can get good ideas from this build set wise, bear in mind that the recipes / enhancements you are looking for are lvl 50 (for the sets that do not cap before that) and not lvl 53:

  16. I guess a multi-strike dmg/end or even add/dmg/end or a cleaving blow dmg/end would do nice and it is not expensive
  17. Nightmarer

    Epic Pool

For DB/WP and all the aggro you'll draw plus the AoE dmg you'll deal probably Caltrops would be nice (can't remember the name of the epic soz).-
  18. Hmmm, do you mean the saturday SG team? (no more interruptions on that plix) or another STF run?

  20. Nightmarer

    IO's

For what you say, seems you are looking for damage, but, are you looking to improve the % of damage in a single attack or do you want to improve the damage of all your attacks?

If you just want to improve the damage of one attack, then a combination of sets is what you need, such as combining (just an example):

    Crushing Impact acc/dmg
    Crushing Impact acc/dmg/end
    Crushing Impact acc/dmg/rchg
    Mako's Bite acc/dmg
    Mako's Bite dmg/end
    Mako's Bite dmg/rchg

That'd give to your attack a 91.78% accuracy, 47.70% endrdx, 47.70% rchg and 102.26% dmg plus you'd benefit from the first two bonuses of each set, hence you'd get from Crushing Impact a 2.2% resistance to immobilize, and a 15.1% HP increase, while from Mako's you'd get a 3.3% resistance to immobilize and a 20.1% HP increase.

On the other hand, Mako's Bite grants a 3% dmg buff to all your attacks on the 4th slot, so if what you are looking for is an overall dmg buff, then stacking Mako's Bite sets is what you are looking for (if you are looking for damage), you could do something like this:

    Crushing Impact acc/dmg
    Crushing Impact acc/dmg/rchg
    Mako's Bite acc/dmg/end/rchg
    Mako's Bite acc/dmg
    Mako's Bite dmg/end
    Mako's Bite dmg/rchg

This would buff that attack's accuracy 89.93%, the damage by 101.86%, the endrdx 45.05% and the rchg 66.25%, you'd lose the 15.1% HP increase from Crushing Impact but you'd gain a 3% damage to all your attacks from Mako's Bite. The 3% is not much, but if you slot up to 5 attacks the same way, then all the bonuses would be x5, in this case you'd get a 15% damage on all your attacks by slotting 4 Mako's Bite IO's on 5 attacks.

Again, before thinking of using sets, you need to know exactly what your scrapper lacks and you want to compensate (or what your scrapper excels at which you want to maximize) and then check on Wiki which sets offer bonuses to reach what you want.-
  21. That was fun STF, we need to do this more often
  22. Nightmarer

    IO's

The set IO selection depends highly on your build and what are trying to get, if you want to get more defence you'll need some sets, if you're looking for more regeneration then other sets apply, hence advice about set IO's is impossible without more information.

Best thing you can do is to download Mid's Hero Designer and check for yourself. It has a forum export tool in case you want to post your build for further questions.
