But hopefully lessons have been learned for Super Booster 3 (whens it out whens it out) and they will have a more robust purchasing system in place for it.

I agree with most of your points, however not when it comes to blaming the players for essentially being too keen to buy a product. For this to happen the site has some design flaws, I work on some retail websites and it is impossible for this to happen regardless of traffic or server capacity, this is because solid logic processes are incoperated in the design, in fact it would err on the side of safety. -
Spooky, perhaps just coincidence but within 10 minutes of my post, I got an email from support saying my refund has now been done with the wording "We apologise for any inconvenience".
I have posted straight away in the way of fairness.
While I am happy that my refund has been done and I now have kinda got an apology, the fact remains that I should have never been in this position to begin with.
In my experience these kind of problems can lose you customers, so please NCsoft review your store process maps, as it least in these examples it would seem that clicking the final authorsiation is not the point where the actual transaction takes place or at least there are errors in the process that can allow this to happen. -
Still no refund or update for me.
Almost a week now and at least for me that's poor customer service. It also bothers me that not once have either support or a red name once said "apologies for any inconvenience caused", which is the least I'd expect, as they did debit my account WITHOUT my authorisation, this is basic politeness.
Perhaps in doing this they would admit liability, because as I posted before, this practice, error or not potentally breaks the sales of goods act. Anyone out there who's really unhappy should make a call to Trading Standards, because if the overcharge has caused you any bank charges etc, you would be fully within your rights to ask NCsoft to pay for this, so long as you can prove this.
I completely understand that delays happen and unexpected events will cause resource problems, however the lack of communication is really poor.
It's not even the money that bothers me it's the principle and regardless of whether I get a refund today or in 3 weeks time, my view of NCsoft's customer service has been tarnised because of this. -
In some ways I'd agree, I think we are beginning to see the effects of the operation being solely based in the US. Where we are suffering a bit as a result, maintainence and downtimes happening during the day etc.
I know this needs to be the case as MA is global, however why should we always lose out on playing time and during the Easter holidays is maybe not the best time to do this either with people off work/school etc.
The lack of communication is concerning, after all doesn't cox now have a hardcore base of players rather than attracting lots of new players, in fairness it doesn't seem to be a lot better on the US boards either lately, although it is better. Over the past week - no updates on when the game would be back up, no updates on the booster pack release etc.
With all due respect also, this thread has some unhappy customers who have been incorrectly charged and still no comment from a red name, Avatea has posted above this with some emote details (hardly in keeping with all the posts around it), how about an update or an apology for those over-charged, surely the minimum level of customer service we can expect?
Now I love cox, I play every day, however one of my pet hates is poor customer experience - and on some levels this is what we've been subject to over the past week or so IMO.
Like I said, the game has a hardcore base of players who love this game.....however poor comunication will not be a help to that sustaining that in the long term.

After a days wait, support have got back asking me to confirm some of my card payment details.....that's all so far.
However I would suggest that GR is correct about them losing money on this, rather than making interest.
The reason being is that NCsoft do not get your payment directly, the tranactions are facilitated by a 3rd party (I think it's Bibit in this case). Each transcation through Bibit will have a charge for NCsoft whether it's a sale or refund.
The reasons it works this way now are down to the new PCI laws meaning that retailers are not allowed to store customers payment card details - hence why support are asking for some of my details.
Even if/when they agree to refund your money, bank transfers can mean the funds may take a few days to return to your account.
My point in the post above is that it shouldn't be allowed to happen, debiting cards in this manner without the users consent (eg not pressing the confirmation button) could perhaps be viewed as a breach of the sales of goods act/distance selling regulations. Although we should all also appreciate that mistakes can happen. -
Real problems for me on Defiant last night, my sg had about 30 players on and most of us were teaming on MA missions. At about 9.00 half the players from the sg all dc'd/crashed at the same time and listening to the local chat around me it seems as if this happened to a fair number of players. Many of the players had difficulties getting back on for a while...perhaps an extra hamster is needed?

I'm sure they are doing their best to sort things out, although I'll see how support deals with my case before I comment on the customer service on this matter.
However IMO any site that can allow the possibility of over charging customers is poorly designed (I work for a major UK multi channel retailer on their e-commerce systems, so I have experience in this field). System safeguards should be in place to block this activity regardless of traffic volumes and server capacity.
Im sure that the demand was perhaps more than expected, however maybe the risk could have been kept to a minimum by carefully considering the global release timing/mechanics and communicating this to us, the customers. After all, there were no details of the timing of the release, surely this only drove people to bombard the site at the same time because many had been waiting hours for the booster to appear in the store.
Im not having a pop, just some observations. -

Well I purchased it last night and have been billed twice and I have a spare serial in my account now. I work in e-commerce so I know this isn't a case of user error. I only got through to the confirm purchase screen once and I only clicked it once. This is poor as any site that runs the risk of over-billing should not have been launched as this should have been indentified as a show stopping bug at some stage surely?
Anyhow I have raised it with support.
I do love the pack though, great work! -

Inherent Power
You can read the fortune of any player. This grants a random permanent buff for 20 minutes, and they may not have their fortune read again during that time.
Mystic Fortune grants a random "Fortune" buff to your target. Like Vengeance, it cannot be stacked multiple times. The buffs granted by Mystic Fortune are based on the Major Arcana of the Tarot, though not all of the Major Arcana are represented. When cast, the target is given a confirmation box before the fortune is granted.

Death

Actually may not be an issue.
I'm at work and using a rubbish work pc, which after checking I realise is using an outdated version of IE, so I'd imagine that the page should display ok for browers that are up to date.
In case you still want to know:

An audio re-vamp is needed, however I'd prefer the score and sound effects to be improved first, I also play with the sound off nowadays. NPC speech would be great, but in many games it becomes repetitive as there's normally too few different lines of speech, that said it would help to bring the city to like a bit.

In some ways all mmo's have the element of grind and can become boring, if it were just down to the gameplay I would have been bored a while ago (although MA will help some), however it's the friends I've made in the game that keep me coming back, there are times where I can't be bothered onced I've logged in, but I use those times to crack a load of bad jokes and make a fool of myself while emptying vodka bottles...that works for me
