Yeah... so I've been playing City of Heroes on and off for about 6 months and I still consider myself an uber noob. I have been playing mostly CoV simply because it has always been an interest of mine to totally be the bad guy. And also, the Epic Archetype are honestly cool.
Anyway, I made it about as far as level 20 and then scratched my head. I know I'm missing a lot of stuff since I'm basically just running the missions that are given me by the contacts. No TFs, no PvP (which I won't do anyway) etc. I'm not a huge fan of working in teams because honestly, since I feel like I don't know what I'm doing, I'm going to let the other players down and even though its an MMO and we're all basically strangers, well... it still stinks for me.
I'm a guy who enjoys stories, creating characters and mixing things up. I'm not a min/maxer who wants to sit down and figure out how to debuff the elite boss the fastest so I can kill it in one shot. I want to follow the storylines, get a better handle on everything and go from there.
So... I guess this is a plea for help here. Where do I go from here? Should I stay on the lighter volume servers until I feel more comfortable? My highest character is on Freedom on the Red side at the moment.
Any help (or further clarification from me as far as where I am) would be appreciated!
