*Angry Response to first post on page
*Realization post about waffles has intercepted above post.
*Affirmation of love of waffles. -
I did the "Why isn't the train leaving?" thing a month ago.
I've been playing over a year now.
My big goof as a newb, though, was consistently running back to Ms. Liberty. I thought she was the only trainer. *cough*
Oh, and six slotting fast healing. That was fun. -
I haven't yet, but I'm considering doing so. It would be nice if I didn't have to find a difficulty adjuster, though.
-
I was mostly concerned with not being able to play the characters I put effort into, which are all on Virtue.
I can break out an incarnate brute for the Virtue Invasion, but I'd have to break out a level 1 Whatever on Freedom and spend the day faceplanting for a badge. -
Superheroes in love...
But yes, they mention the memory thing explicitly when dealing with Ghost Widow.
"Death is like being a living memory. All I am, all I can be, was frozen at the moment I died. We, the dead, cannot change on our own. The dead cannot move on. And the dead cannot let go. But for those like me, those still able to think and to feel, it's a curse beyond imagining. I can understand what has become of me. I can understand that I am dead, and that I am in a way, a living memory." -

Well, I -can- go above 100 million inf. I get loads of Inf from my 50, so...
I'll use this as a suggestion, though. -
So, I'm getting up to the 50s on my MA/WP Scrapper, so I need to start saving for stuff.
I only have like 100 Million Inf, so I don't wanna go overboard, but I want a nice, damage oriented Scrapper Build.
The Power Sets I'm planning on settling on are...
Speed: (Hasten and Super Speed)
Leaping (Combat Jumping and Super Leap)
Fighting: (Boxing/Tough/Weave)
Body Mastery: (Conserve Power, Physical Perfection, Energy Torrent)
Also, a recommended Alpha Slot would be nice. I'm thinking Musc, personally.
Any suggestions? -
Certain NPCs have custom ranks.
Reichman is "Reichman"
Tyrant is "Emperor"
Belladonna is "Assassin"
Cleopatra is "Loyalist"
Calvin Scott is "Resistance Leader"
President Marchand (the AV from Mender T.'s SF. Not Provost Marchand): Is "President".
And so on and so forth. -
I cannot RP and fight at the same time.
My friends can run and attack and fire of impromptu quotes. Not even macros. I can spot macros. These are relevant to the conversation.
Also... I tend to remain within the same groups when I RP. It's somewhat of a weakness... -
Bake them an Arachnos Themed Cupcake?
...With a Roofie in it? -
As someone who got a free party pack (
) I can say that I enjoy it immensely.
However, I'd opt for the Wedding Pack. Emotes are nice, but the Wedding Pack as a nicer balance, you know? -
Halie does Mothership Mondays and Posthaste does the Cape's Monthly Mothership Raid.
I have no clue who does Hami or CoT though, as I have yet to go on either. -
I won!
The goal is to make the Devs Laugh. At least in my mind. So I went as Disco.
On my undead toon.
I've been Pop Dancing all night. -
I won a Party Pack for my Disco Zombie.
It was a -blasssst-! -
Quote:-7 Defense for 10 Seconds. Rapid Fire Attack. And I think they ignore Defense as well.Is that near Atlas Park?
You'd think so, yet wading into a spawn of Pclockwork means death just as instant as without them. The RNG hates me.
Also, regarding the original topic... Help channel.
Welding Ray: It Makes my SD Brute Cry.
Also: Consignment Teleporters. Pre Ouroboros, they are the fastest way to get around on Primal Earth.
The Blueside one takes you to Atlas, Kings Row, Steel Canyon, and Talos. It's a great way to get from the Yellow Line to the Blue Line in one fell swoop.
The Black Market Teleporter (Like the Redside Ouroboros Portal) is even more useful, as it can take you to pretty much any zone except Nerva and Grandville. So if you ever have to get back to Mercy, it's great to have around.
The Praetorian Consignment Transporters only take you to the Imperial City (Which VIP D Pass can do anyway). The Underground Transporter only works for Resistance Members, but it's a bit more useful. -
I personally prefer option 2, at least at first. It's difficult to predict exactly what people use costume pieces for, after all.
If, over time, it becomes clear that no one uses costume piece X anymore, then you can start combing out the legacy pieces.
However... for just updated textures? Option 1 isn't -so- bad. -
I helped a Sonic/Storm Corr with a Demons/Dark Mastermind. It degenerated into Pinball.
The good news is that I didn't have to do it on my Demons/Dark Mastermind! -
Indeed. Florida is full of Planned Communities like that, because the vast majority of Florida's communities are fairly new.
In addition, Florida really is home to a Nuclear Power Plant. Though it's nowhere near as powerful as the Anti-Matter Reactors, they do still exist.
Florida is one of the most fitting locations for Praetoria, I think. -
Looking at Praetoria, I can easily see it being in Central Florida.
Florida is a generally flat state. The Forest surrounding Praetoria lacks any visible mountains or hills. It's mostly just a flat forest as far as the eye can see.
Florida also has a good deal of forested land, often around rivers and wetlands. A DE Touched Florida Landscape would be terrifying. Believe me.
Praetoria's Architecture (particularly in Nova Praetoria), reminds me a great deal of Florida.
And finally... For purely symbolic reasons. Florida, and Orlando in particular, is one of the most heavily modified states in existence. We have fake cities with extensive undergrounds where everyone is suppose to be happy. We call them theme parks.
Drawing the connection between Praetoria and a place like Disney World is quite symbolic, I think.
We also don't know what direction Hami went when it left Mexico. It depends on how badly it was affected. It could have gone north to California, East through Texas and Louisiana, or Through the Gulf to Florida. -
Well, there are several reasons for this.
- Willpower is nondescript. It is the "Generic" Defense set. Willpower, Regen, Invul, and even SR and Shields are easy to just "slot in" to a character. Other defense sets, like Fire, Dark, or Stone, require you to explain exactly why you can light yourself on fire. Willpower, with it's good blend of Regen, Defense, and Resistance, is easy enough to just explain away.
- I play a Telekinetic who uses Kinetic Melee to represent telekinetic strikes. Willpower synergizes perfectly with this concept, as it represents him focusing his psychic powers inward. Auto-hypnosis and Psychosomatics and all that.
- Willpower is an easy fall back set. It's the Mario of defense sets. Each set has a hole built in, like so:
Willpower is not only good at what it does, but it's weakness isn't exactly crippling. WP Tankers and Brutes can (and have) taken Alphas with ease. It's a very strong set, and when it comes to testing a new set like KM, it's a safe bet.- Firey Aura: Minimal Cold Resistance, No Psionic defenses, No KB protection.
- Invincibility: Pure Resistance, No Psionic Defense. Taunt Aura comes later than normal.
- Stone Armor: Granite and Rooted. Enough Said.
- Shield Defense: Pure Defense. Sometimes, you're invincible. Then you run into something with -Def or +To Hit (or worst of all... the ability to ignore defense).
- Willpower: You allegedly can't take Alphas as well as some of the other sets, and your taunt aura isn't very taunty.
-
Ms. Liberty is a classic, which is why I was happy to see Dominatrix in Nova Praetoria.
The Vanguard Drill Sgt. holds a special place in my heart. It's where NightErrant got his 50th level.
I wish the trainers redside were more varied though. Arbiters are nice and all, and I get the story reasons, but I like Paragon and Praetoria for their unique trainers. -
...Aren't reviews suppose to highlight the pros and cons of a game?
Unless you're Yahtzee, of course. But then again, no one watches Zero Punctuation because it's an unbiased source of game information. -
I'm just looking forward to running around Praetoria on my Primal Toons. I hope they remove Loyalist/Resistance Lounge restrictions for Primals. I wanna chill in the Loyalist Lounge.
