I'm not really altoholic. I have a few characters, but none that are much higher than level 10, and different power sets for the most part. Anyway, my main is a MA/SR Scrapper and I love playing that toon. Combat just flows really well, and like someone earlier said about Willpower, SR for defense allows me to worry more about fighting and less about surviving. There's also a lot of lols to be had from Crane Kicking someone halfway across the map.

You're supposed to run into it. Makes you invulnerable for 30 seconds.

Eh...even if it is Statesman I'm sure he'll be back. This game is based on comic book superheroes after all. No one stays dead in comics except Batman's parents and Uncle Ben.

Quote:I see what you're saying. And just so we're clear, I'm not asking that we non-gods get the same content as the incarnates are getting just watered down, or anything like that. Just some 30-50 arcs, or other things of that nature. After all, we do fight and take down most of the big-bads in Praetoria in Maria Jenkins and Tina McIntyre's arcs, so us non-gods aren't that powerless.Of course it seems far away, you've chosen not to fight on the front lines. The devs have had Praetorian zone invasions a few times, although since they're dev-hosted events and not triggered off completing content like Rikti invasions are, they occur less frequently. The Praetorians are also more powerful than the Rikti, so it's less likely that non-Incarnate heroes would be called into action.
I guess my main point is that, at least from my view, there isn't enough Praetorian content; as opposed to the OP's view of too much. -
Personally, I feel like I'm missing out on a lot of the Praetorian stuff due to it all being Trials, TFs, and other Incarnate-type content. I'm a soloer mostly, and, while I'm not yet at level 50 (almost there
), I'm not even sure if I want to go for the Incarnate stuff. Those of us in that situation we have two major story arcs and a TF (I think) dealing with Praetoria, and that's it. If we're supposed to be at war with these guys I'd like to see more Praetoria stuff for us non-Incarnate minded: storyarcs, tip/newspaper missions, random events, etc.
All this with the Praetorian Invasion just seems really far away, where the Rikti Invasion was always (at least since I've been here) in your backyard. I've been here since i9-i10, and can't remember a time when there wasn't a Rikti Invasion at some point in the day.
I know they have to work on the Incarnate stuff to flesh out the end-game and all, but it'd be nice if the rest of us got a bone or two as well. -
Quote:Good point. I know I'd never heard of him until about a year ago when I happened across his comic at my local store, and even then I didn't know who he was until I saw a JLU episode with him in it. Personally, I think something about Nightwing's early days would be much better. It'd be open to that grim-and-gritty theme that's so popular now, and everyone knows who Dick Grayson is. Shouldn't be too hard for most people to get that Dick was Robin, but has now grown up and struck out on his own right? While cool and all.... I have a problem with the network that this show will be on....Syfy.... I gave up watching Syfy once BSG was done.... Heck I have pretty much given up watching most television.... If a show doesnt pull a high "rating" the show gets yanked before being given a chance....besides, how main stream is Booster Gold? I know who he is and what he does......however does the general public?
I am not trying to rain on this parade here, because I really think that this would make for some interesting viewing if done right.....
...right?
Oh wait, we're talking about the general masses here..... -
Pfft, and Spider-Man thinks he has issues with clones.....

Batman #3
Nightwing #3
Justice League #3
Nice to finally be caught up.
EDIT: Whoops, missed JL#3. -
I seriously fell right out of my chair.
"Now I know what you're thinking: should I crush him? And the answer may surprise you." *squeak* -
That's good. I appreciate the responses, I just didn't want to go using something that doesn't exactly have a good reputation.

Anyone use this app? I've downloaded a couple free comics and it's a pretty neat app. However, I wasn't sure about buying anything until I got some opinions on them.
-
Detective Comics #3. Also need to catch up on Spidey.

Not bad, but agree with the other comments (are we nerds or what
). However, I liked this news even more.

Females.
I can never get up the courage to ask one out....
Seriously though, I can't say I'm truly afraid of anything. Things can make me uncomfortable, nervous, or can surprise me, but nothing actually scares me. -
Only read the written interview since I'm on my phone, but wow.... I'd almost call it inspiring. Costume or no, I do hope his actions are the force that gets this ball rolling on people cleaning up our society instead of just posting pictures on Facebook or videos on YouTube.

Pretty sure I've seen them in both Spider-man comics and Red Robin. I would imagine the other DC and Marvel comics do as well.
-
I must have this!!!! Although the cape does look a bit stiff and small. I don't know why, I've just always liked the really big capes worn by him in BTAS, The Batman, etc.
-
I didn't get any of these yet, but snatched up most if the #1s for the Bat-family; including Justice League and Teen Titans, not including Batwoman, Batgirl, or Batwing. I like most of what I've read so far, but I doubt I'll stick with Batman and Robin past the first arc. I just cannot stand Damien. I'd have slapped that little ******* back to Talia if I were Bruce.
I hate how they did away with Red Robin, at least on his own, but Nightwing kinda makes up for it. I really enjoyed that one. Justice League and Teen Titans are ok. Looks like the former is just telling us how we got to this point, while the latter appears to have erased the last few years entirely and is "present day". Not liking that or Red Robin's new duds.
I'm thinking I'll probably stick with Batman, Nightwing, TDK, and might get into Detective Comics.
Btw, anyone notice the hooded figures in the background of at least one panel in B&R and TT (only two I noticed them in)? Wonder what's going on there... -

Quote:Cool deal. I like it, kinda makes me think of Justice League/JL: Unlimited. The composer is Jason Graves. Jason also created the soundtrack for City of Heroes Going Rogue.
Not sure if you would consider that compliment or not since that's a different game made by someone else, but I find it cool. -
