  1. Dual Hammer, what I am seeing with your builds is that you are taking alot of powers for funs sake, but each power requires more slotting for better bonuses that will stack together and offer you something truly noticeable to the whole build. If that's intentional, if you've no real desire for a vast amount of defense or recharge, or anything else potentially achievable besides accuracy then thats fine. I personally would not IO set for small unnoticeable bonuses to mezz resistance, I'd just use basic IOs to simply slot a power cheaply.

Edit: Fewer powers, but with Haste to for the use of those powers over time might allow you to slot powers, not just well, but also for better bonuses. An energy/elec/elec would do well to have good recharge, ranged def when ranged, aoe def when in melee amongst numbers, and control for targets that will hit you back in melee.
  2. When Willpower came out some people complained about the weak aura.

I considered Quick Recovery a means to attack more offsetting the problem.

The additional debuff in the aura does moot, may as well not be there.

Years later after seeing more and more posts on the problem, I asked unbiasedly about it with a new thread to see whether or not something could be done on the issue but it all went quiet and some people used it to turn it into as if I had the problem. Sods. I was just being unbiased.

Being done with the issue, I can hands on heart with a level 50 willpower scrapper since the beginning just say attack more, atleast herd fast and aim to kill fast with aoes. Get ahead of your friend(s), atleast leave them behind with something they can handle to finish off.

I've always had confront on all my scrappers, its better than mickey mouse presence, well slotted can comfortably cater to holding at least 2 level 54 AVs, beats travel anyday..but only if tactics were unrevisible and a spare place existed would I take something from presence pool. Not likely.
  3. I'm not even going to load it up into Mids. For a first build it looks good but..ideally your knockback protection is above 8, ideally 10 or more.

Ideally your end recovery would be a certain amount higher than your end loss with toggles on. That certain amount would then be the end per second of your attack chain factoring in Consume.

A power would be looked at for what it does, and then the enhancements would buff it sufficiently in all ways noticeably helpful without over spending. Bonuses are simply that. You should aim to get the type of bonuses really useful to the build.

You would take powers at suitable levels. There is no point being someone who compels enemies to not attack others who is held at level 20 when exemped or leveling up.

Look at a power and what it is essentially offering you and ask yourself would you get more bang for buck/effect per end/effect over time with a alternative power that is essentially the same thing.

These are just things to think about to see what you can come up with, because once you do a really convincing build you'd do them easily for other archetypes, have a better understanding of how teamed characters support eachother.

    One day I'll get there.

Just read what I quoted slowly. I have a Shield /SS Tank, she's on Justice, still leveling her though cos other toons have been played more like my Fire/Axe tanky. All PuGs gladly accepted.
  5. All of my characters have a different concept and must be played differently. I min/max to a concept, I change my concerns, I focus on my roles by different amounts, which is why all my toons get played. No matter how things seem leveling to 50 I know, that most of the characters play hours will be after 50, respec after respec and some bright ideas I finally get an eureka moment that makes my character a joy to play and different from all the rest. For years I was lost on my Sonic/Sonic, who could of been the first to 50 of her kind euro side but I stopped 2 bars away, but long by now even she's finally arrived with her own niche that fits her concept. Its only recently and by no small means, through incarnates that my Peacebringer will not only all the best flexibilities of one, the rate on offer is enjoyable.
  6. Over X amount of levels you can only take X amount of powers. You decide on what powers you don't like to be caught out with. Some times the lack of fort in a team doesnt help, sometimes its the lack of CM. You decide. Often when it comes to attack chains they're never quite achieve-able as there is always someone to heal or what not when leveling. Being lost in your attack chain when some other buff could be placed or someone else with more damage could of been saved is as bad as having a tunnel visioned minion orientated tanker in the team when most mobs are on everybody else.

Incarnate builds makes everything easier for everyone. I didn't get the issues in the main neither but certain changes have been good even though a lot of them didn't come from players ideas but instead probably from players expressed experiences.

I did look at this build and thought it okay way back when ya posted it but the only thing, not too important is perhaps ya don't need any flight speed in fly, may be in swift for hovers sake but if not then not even in swift.
  10. Whatever changes to Sonic there are the impact on controllers, defenders and corrupters has to be taken into account. +Range to a controller is something I'd regard as potentially strong.

They could turn the repulsion into a power that effects the ear drums and causes inbalance for a knockdown disorient combo but then the disorient to the controller might be a bit good.

Irrc think they lowered the recharge on Liquefy because to a controller it was good. I bet it would of been better for everybody else to have not of given controllers Sonic.

Todays sonic weaponry disorients through affecting the ear drums. Sound can be used to repel even if its through painful to the ear music that makes people turn around and it can cause demoralization through communication which can inturn weaken an enemies strategy but why -dam when you can +res?

That Repulsion could do -Dam, because sound affects the ears, ears affect balance and balance affects force, it won't make it much of a more attractive power except when facing AVs but that's the part I think it might be alright for without going far outside of anything conceptually.

Why do you say 3 when only one counts?

otomh I think my Sonic/Sonic corrupter can maintain -90% res. If she was a Defender then that would be roughly 120% -res. I do think Sonic is in need of a fix, something I am not even inclined to say the same about Trick Archery.
  12. With 5 mins I felt that you could re order the build better for the possibility that you might exemplar. Ones never know whats down the road and the ability to keep ones options open is sometimes good.
  13. If I only wanted to blap I'd make a blaster over a human form pb, khelds are duct tape at everything but versatility. If I wanted something versatile I'd make a Kheldian.
  14. I just lifetime to games like CO or DCUO. Job done.
  15. Defenders are sometimes reducing the enemies fight duration, so just -hp.
  16. The Tanker set sucks wind compared to all the others.

    child's play

Children I find, despite the lack of what adults may call common sense, have sponges for brains if you can focus them. A kid could be taught to play alot better than some adults you know on anything, the hard part is perhaps teaching them how to win with grace and lose with dignity or maybe that just my nephew. I would be careful who they come in contact with as its the internet. I would trust no bugger.
  18. I'd say that more of the hours spent on a toon is after 50 than before so I would of planned for being around 50s. I would with them AoEs relied on the ranged AoEs when I couldn't melee AoE and hope for not alot of times I couldn't melee AoE. The idea would be to have enough AoE def to go into a group thats all attacking some Brute, Tank or Scrapper whose a pretty solid aggro magnet and get all up there. Perhaps cage the controllers before entry.

    Fire/Ice Tank

Sometimes I look at slotting and find some discontent because there are 3 or more good powers not quite getting the love I'd want to give them. On this Firetank I'd ask myself "is it worth putting Acrobatics back in to gain slots from them KB res IOs?". In this case there would be 2 slots gained. Without Manuevers this build is around 30-22.5% def mark anyway. Darkest Night is -15% tohit so there is the remainder to be soft cappy. We know that Man. costs more in end than Acrobatics but Acrobatics would be a bit late going where Man. currently is at 50. Fiery Embrace would rechg 10 secs sooner or 13/15ths quicker, from another slot which mightn't be cared for. I say all this because it's Frozen Fists which does Bruise -20% res, that lacks acc to my eye. So really I am simply obssessed with Bruise hitting but if you're not solo bringing down AVs it mightn't matter. On the whole this game has lost it's ability to see that somewhere, sometime the littlest of things matter.

I have no lesser heroes, they all contribute to the same vision. Could be time for the OP to find new pastures until writers block passes.

    Stone/Stone

I find myself replying to all the posts that lack replies these days..Straight away if you want extra run speed it is quicker and cheaper to add Run IOs into Swift. The second Run IO is a 15% buff, the third a 5% buff, both better than some of the Run speed buffs you are getting in some areas.

Stone Fist, Stone Mallet, Fossilize and Stone Prison are pretty low on accuracy. The last 2 consist of a Proc, those procs aren't worth much when you're giving up some accuracy and/or damage.

The more Psionic Defense you have the less likely you'd need the Psionic Resist and its not like you come across Psionics everywhere in the game. Are you sure its worth the expense?

Not clever. I am surprised this thread is still going on.
