  1. I think Positron is not at home with the idea of Blasters getting /Dual Blades or /Martial Arts.

I'd rather see these sets get put to the vote.
  2. The Turret can currently be worth its cast, end cost etc.

Time Bombs usefulness varies from player to player. I use it.
  3. 2 rechg in acrobatics is questionable. Choosing Melee def over Ranged/Aoe is questionable, but you're the player.

Back to the soul drain in the updated build. The Perfect Zinger Acc/Rechg could be replaced by an Eradication Acc/Rechg which gives you the 4th bonus for extra hitpoints and therefore some +regen. Upto you though the expense might not seem worth it to some.

2 Touch of the Nictus in the last two slots of Siphon Life, H and A/H should offer more bang for buck compared to what you are doing.
  5. You can only aggro cap so any extra mobs would be after the team mates. I worried about DE for a couple of levels with my Shield Tank. Key thing is to not always take on two groups and even get a Mezz on the Guardian before it even drops a pet.

Am sure those that helped you find it nice to see someone say thanks. A persons intent is what I would value more than anything. I didn't help you as help was already there, no point repeating what someone else said.

No one is talking to you about permaing hasten.

I swapped one of your powers for haste and saw an immediate improvement to the recharge of Earths Embrace with granite on. I am right on both accounts.
  7. I generally won't run a tanker without taunt. I like the flexibility it gives. I don't recommend not having it. People have their own ideas of what tanking is and solve issues some way or another. That's down to them, the game has got to be challenging one way or another. Sometimes you're making life harder for yourself with the choices you make or making it harder for somebody else. At the end of the day people are going to prefer different things. To me no attack replaces taunt completely.
  8. Putting IOs in swift will do more for your run speed than the run speed bonuses that you're killing your build getting by taking innecessary powers. Another thing is for recharge times I'd of took haste and been done. Without a doubt in my mind an SO build with the right power choices could do more.

You put the epic sets in the same way you do the power pool sets. The epic sets have a pull down menu where the power pools pull down menus are.

I think you could cut back the slots you give to your armours a bit. Most of the time attacks are with some lethal or smash component so overslotting the basics of a shield for damage components that are either rare in the large context of the game or are simply rare without S/L isn't that necessary. Free up slots for other powers where you can if you feel you can benefit.
  10. Depends on playstyle. I have no probs with TP or holding aggro. So for me there would be no rush and some other toon might get done first, one that might earn inf at a quicker rate.

I felt that your build would run out of endurance rather fast given the least favourable team make up and without taunt could also with the least favourable team make up be lacking in the flexibility required to create the survivability not just, in some circumstances for yourself but for the team too.

Ofc there is always an insp tray but if its "all round" to you then carry on.
  12. Nobody has to offer anybody any help.

The fact that anyone goes to any length is something.

Nobody gets paid for their time.

Hundreds of people over the years have asked for "suggestions" and got it for free.

People who expect alot for nothing tend to be the ones who throw the dummy out of the pram when things do not fall in their lap: spoilt.

Before one expects perfection one should learn to give it.

Never do I seriously give a toss about peoples builds past the playable part.

Edit: and so just to clarify my intentions:

Yeah do that I would only bother with procs in that power myself really.

I am in quite a quandary with your build, yes I could come up with changes, Death Shroud could to improve, shadow maul could be more damaging, the gaussian in Soul Drain..may as well move it's slot elsewhere to do something else but everytime I come up with other changes I am 50/50 or Switzerland. Do it, play it, keep a respec for any changes required after though.
  16. Try going for 45% Ranged def and then Rechg. See what happens. An AR/Dev to me is either at ranged, kiting or trapping so ranged def and being able to lay ample mines in a short time or even let off as many ranged AoEs over time would be the first two things I'd look for.
  17. Siphon Life is a to taste thing. It was a power best 6 slotted with Hamis pre IO sets and perhaps still is. It offers more hitpoints per end than it does dam per end but there is an argument to go either way depending on how tough the tank generally is anyway and so it is, to taste.

Assuming the OP picked EM for the same reasons I would of then swapping it out for just gloom wouldn't cut it. Assuming the OP didn't then, ya know, whatever. Darkest Night also in the build would be a fairer swap.

All my tankers have different worries, and that's good as there would be no point playing more than one type of tank, on that note they might also survive their shared worries by different methods. So no, all my tankers do not share that level of control. My Fire/Fire/Pyre could do with it but nah that just messes her Phoenix concept right up.
  19. I am dying to have a look at this properly but suddenly I have to go. I'll compare it to mine later and see where both mine and yours might be improved.

Touch of Fear, Cloak of Fear and Oppressive Gloom are about Fear and Oppression and so something I won't skip on my D/D Brute but do skip on my heroic D/D Tanker.
  20. I have more than one /energy melee. So what I like to do with them is different.

Aid Other could be range boosted and power boosted, and is a pre req to Aid Self which is also power boosted.

I have leaderships on one too rather than blap, Assault increases my range attacks damage, tactics my accuracy and Vengeance gets power boosted - add Manuevers to that and the team ya with can be soft capped.

Within EM itself are powers that benefit anyway so if you are a Blapper you have additional stun duration.

I couldn't change from the controls in Earth Mastery for just Gloom. In some cases with secondary effects alone can "every ounce of damage be mitigated". If Darkest Night was thrown in with Gloom then maybe, I might think it worth the exchange.
  22. I not long started on Justice, with one 50 so far which is a AR/Energy blaster called Letitia Sherlock. I haven't met any of your toons. My Shield/SS on Justice is called Gemma Shield, still leveling her off and on..22 so far.

On Defiant I have 36 characters but I guess the oldest one is Katalina a Scrapper. I play on Union, Defiant, Vigilance and Justice whenever, not every night so am one of them what come and disappear to people never hanging around long enough to know people properly.

I could expect with any type of Tanker on SOs to complete the game.

IO sets and setting just adds easiness to it all allowing me to take more risks, make more mistakes or to simply not fail due to somebody elses lack of team work.

What you've quoted is what I meant. Alot of people don't regard softcapping in Fire because its not that common or Cold because it's rare and a lot of those attacks exist with a lethal or smash component anyway and so S/L def will do. Alternatively Fire/Cold sometimes does. It is considered that S/L is most common too.

I can't argue what you will need as I would expect anyone to get through the content with an SO build. I can't state that any build is something people should have or hurry to get.

You can take everything as a pinch of salt and go with your head, gut, heart or whatever, or even do what I do, never see anything as a must. Take the bits you like, discard the bits you don't.

What I will say though is we all have a combat tab. If you fall at any hurdle, use it to work out why and then either adjust your build or your methods.

Edit: I could be wrong but if you set Accolades on on both builds then made sure that RTTC scales the same then the difference in regen is less for that S/L def
