Yep just like people who believe that the new SR Tankers can't tank or "If they can't do it, no one can".

    Such narrowmindedness.

But I do believe that out of all sets that can do with a buff then Sonic is top of my list.
  2. 45% def.

Read Arcanvilles guides for more info than that.
  3. Wrong section.

Just incase it changes to Tankers then its too early to state, however any SR with a KBAoE and Aid self would imo be better than a WP with no KBAoE and no Aid self.
  4. New Dawn

    SD/StrJ

I am having trouble importing it. Try exporting Data chunk as well as Datalink.

I'd be inclined to take every power in the primary and secondary, haste, boxing to get tough, conserve energy and slot all them up and see what else is needed.
  5. I don't quite get the thing with Fire/Cold, you have added resistance to them at the expense of what LotGs could of added which is additional hitpoints versus all. I suspect you are doing something to have the need though. Itrials? By rights outside buffs could be abundant.

Just by swapping superspeed for fly then you can practically almost tank anything for any team make up given your tools but for Brutes as Scrappers can atleast turn their auras off lowering their threat whereas Brutes gauntlet can't be done anything about.

You could calm down on the Fire/Cold Def, and use slots from doing so to improve offensiveness. Your build doesn't have the raw dps it could have because it doesn't have the end rec it could have nor is it doing maximum dpe.

Unyielding needs to be asap for exemping purposes, if your tanking right then manuevers would be best swapped for weave.

All that aside I would still have a very easy time tanking with it. So there is no harm leaving it as is.
  6. When you hibernate, you have a 2 minute no phase period, which is what Hibernate does to you, it phases you. Having Hibernate recharge in less than 2 minutes helps with nothing unless you are under extreme -rechg conditions, something you are highly resistant to. A rechg from Hibernate could go to Burnout although I don't see much importance of Burnout.

Unlike many you have gone for a little more end rec and fire res with Gift of the Ancient instead of filling out on Luck of the Gamblers, the bonuses of LotGs act versus all damage types so whilst you've acquired greater res to fire you could of had greater average damage sustainability versus all.

Hurl could be split 3/3 with thunderstrikes adding to your energy/neg def. Slots from CE could be better placed in your taunt for better S/L def.
  7. Aggro holding isn't helped by someone opening early with a aoe knockback whilst someone else opens early with aoe immob room.

Then there is the different AI, some don't/won't recognise taunt and some resist it too well.

A partial mix of which is likely to be found in the early levels doing a Synapse TF for an 8 man team.

The blaster with the AoE knockback is likely to die once throughout the TF and the controller with the immob abuse is also likely to die once throughout the TF.

Thats with a low level WP at the helm, with only so many attacks, only so well slotted, swap out that WP for just about anyother type of tanker and no defeats is likely.

All the low taunt duration in RTTC does is catch other players out. Debt is gone within the next minute. It's hardly worth keeping that taunt duration low imo. Despite an average plausible Willpower tank led Synapse time of 90-100mins it still makes Willpower less efficient.

If formerly clustered mobs were caused to spread by other players then unlike with other tanks the mobs won't remember the WP and be more spread, until recovered, that recovery adds time, the spread means aoes aren't so efficiently used. We could all play better but that'll never happen.
  8. When you do the incarnate trial, do you take into account 3 allies next to you giving you additional defense via Phalanx? If taken into account then the 59% is already there without combat jump and so fly could be taken now. I wouldn't slot Jab with just procs, sure there is a rage crash but most the time there isn't, you'd lose dps by doing so. Are you on Justice by any chance?
  9. RTTC isn't "pretty worthless" for threat generation, especially when leveling up. That's my verdict after tonight.
  10. I might get to run my WP tanker tonight with RTTC turned off, then repeat the same mission with it turned on. After seeing the difference I might then try to get myself to agree with the lack of taunt duration conceptually.

I won't pull that endeavour on a PuG. Hopefully my mates will be on who might indulge me into it. If not tonight then soon.

I say this, because if anyone else can do it then pls do as I wouldn't mind other results versus different enemies at different lvls.
  11. They're close. Basically in terms of out of the box, average damage sustainability across all damage types, I think willpower pips invuln iirc but my personal preference is Invuln. Overall Invuln is less reliant on accuracy checks when it comes to keeping aggro. Its a more competent aggro magnet. You can IO set an Invuln good and then still have high risk maneuvers that I wouldn't be so eager to put a Willpower through.
  12. Nice to see someone without Mids writing a guide. I can see where you are going for the most part but I am a little concerned with the number of decimation sets and positrons blast sets. They are dispersed between different forms but I am wondering if the rule of 5 still counts. My PB is built differently so I can not confirm. I believe that both sets offer the same recharge bonus and when you go over 5 of the same bonuses any more sets offering that bonus doesn't work. So the 6.25% rechg maybe capped at 5 with additional doing nothing.

You may have more than 5 LotGs +rechg 7.5% in the build also. Spare ones can be used in other builds and the slot itself could be moved to Stamina.

Thats the sort of thing that stood out and maybe I am wrong, the rest of it, the time and consideration, I thank you.

    SR/MA build

Just out of interest LSK did your build idea change at all? I came up with something I thought was alright and its pretty much a mix of suggestions with my own personal choice of epic powers thrown in. Can't post it, I forgot to save it.

So in a spawn with two Guardians, its almost impossible to prevent the quartz from being dropped for at least a short period of time.
It is very rare to find two of them together. This is why I don't bring one spawn to another. I think I might deliberately aim to do them again just to see how rare. Atleast the pets are stationary and you are not required to keep the DE in their aoe.

Had SR since Mar 2005, harsh times.

Be the first in, auto targeting the Guardian and take them out of action before they can do anything. Against Nems I didn't notice them but that could be to do with AoE Kbs.

    Sad Sonics

I have to agree with Pattern Walker.

An attack might be best swapped depending on what you live for. I did consider it but this is just a suggestion.
  19. Although Spring Attack buys you a second when you might anticipate needing it on entry it still would be replaced by Antidote. However looking at the build it is a bit toad like and the character I'd guess maybe a bit repulsive. It is a bit gimp to rely on outside power pool attacks but to each their own.

I have this combination except the beam saps enemies and my character recycles what she saps into toxins etc. A bit gross but it works for me.
  20. If Batman fails to recognise Catwoman in civilian clothing I am going to call that film stupid - I don't care what they do with it. Immersion left the building.
  21. Ill/Cold. World is ya oyster..almost. I have one and it looks magical.
  22. Start a new thread with an idea of where you want your build to go (make a build) then people can look at it and see if a better idea of slotting can be done.

I don't know why you went for so much +rechg bonusing, I would of gone for ample def then hitpoints. Aid self would be in the build for a bit more damage sustainability rather than anything unnecessary.
