    Playing my tanker or scrapper i often forget to allow time for buffs at times as i6 hasnt really sunk in yet (slaps wrists cos has a 50 defender). I especially need to do this before an AV because to some AV's all it sees is healthpoints and its a case of my dullpain/respites and the healer. I need to make sure there is time for buffing by acting when defender says "ready!". To those AV's they are not so much testing the tanker's build they are testing the healer too and the healer hasnt really got time to buff due to all the healing required so needs to buff first.

    In cases of lvl 52 babbage and tanker not quite out of range of the alpha (i have found to be usually after 3rd attack) totally tanks fault (unless a scrapper taunts in melee) That alpha looks like it can drop the whole lifebar of any tank. pls empaths dont feel guilty!

    being a super reflex i am lucky to be hit by a sapper but if i was a claws invuln i can see problems maybe if you chose to run up and use follow up

  4. i havent got taser yet but after feeling it off a malta operative with my tanker i am like "mmmm" on our toons it must be better (cos it tends to be). but how does it compare with beanbag?

    i was actually quite intimidated by the thought of it before it came out but now i cant see the problem unless you like to go afk in the middle of a pvp zone but i can understand some people wishing to avoid being tp'd here and there and then to hospital if all they wanted to do was get to a mission but i havent really had that yet.
  7. i actually use it as a buff but only when it comes off and to certain ATs mostly not the whole team. If i get time the scrapper or tank may get it but not normally unless they need it. Offering it to the controller, blaster and defender as a buff is often very easy.
  8. i wish i kept hasten i rarely used it though as its a clickie but its nice to have if slowed or i need elude come back around asap for any reason (ok mainly pvp and AV). Add to that being a claws scrapper i think i can afford to have one less attack normally due to their recharge times (a couple may need fixing i "hasten" to add).
  9. Yeah id of picked taunt somewhere in there but without playing a firetank i cant say when but after hold and disorient protection its asap. having played a tanker and every other AT the benefits of having a tanker with taunt far exceeds having a tanker without.
    i can play with tanks without taunt i just play with "extra" caution and that extra caution can lead to that tank getting killed because i would be less aggroattracting (its not my job) using less multihit attacks meaning you would have to take hits for longer. tankers without taunt can make themselves look better healthwise but at the rest of the teams expense imo due to the damage being shared.
    But you maybe a soloist or consistently have the right control elements in team in which case its a why bother feature. In teams its nice to get a great group tightly squashed and to watch em all die in such sweet short seconds without aggroing other groups. Often they die so fast i often wonder if i need my toggles on.
    Oh and acrobatics will have to go in there imo bcos i heard the knockbacks after a certain level is just a pain - u cant fight u cant heal what can u do and u r supposed to be in the middle of it all gauntleting
  10. i got one! i like the glue arrow "matrix!!" if i find it dont match my 50 empaths primaries as an effective set i shall be dismayed but we shall see. any chance of gettin her in that defiant army?

  15. if i picked 3 epics from the dark epic set plus had aid other and aid self out be through slots like no one i was just trying to see like i said if i had missed something on those slots especially as people have builds posted with the 3 slots on their passives and not even the most damaging of their attacks 6 slotted.
  16. imo if the healthbar drops on a stalker because of autohitting or accurate enough (pb)aoes, cones or proximity sensing powers like tripmines that dont need you to target the stalker should be immediately seen and targettable, the only thing that remains to be done is get the stalker locked on, locked down and killed.
  17. from my sense of logic a cone is just a narrow area of effect no matter what the range, if you are caught in that range i believe only your aoe defenses will help you such as lucky, evasion and elude.

    If you have an (pb)aoe or cone effect that a stalker comes into contact with, you should imo be able to detect the stalker straight away and immediately target and do damage. However i am finding this isnt the case, i believe i have had no targetting ability of the stalker until the stalkers second attack or third attack. Imo this is wrong. If you get up close to envoy of shadows stealthed to invisible level his aura will detect you through the damage you recieve, this is because recieving damage suppresses stealth mode and blam your dead.

  20. yep my scrapper is 50 too, great survivability but poor damage being claws though so ideally id have as many slots as possible on primaries but you still havent answered my question.

    you have to warn people they are getting adrenalin boost? omg is that bad!

    why people do "ab boost 4 u so and so" or "have some of my delicious o2 boost" whatever really annoys me - its like "look at me everyone i am a defender doing my job i am giving people this and that" plus major spamming but for anything worth warning people about binds are useful.

    In the early days when i may of run out of endurance due to so much panic healing i had :

    "i have no end(no heals)"
    or
    "i am stunned (no heals)"

    or if i got aggro "taunt my target pls"

    thats what i'd consider warnings. lol i know what you really mean
  22. you made me think for a minute i have 7 primaries. health,stamina and haste are 3 slotted the rest are one as far as power pool and auxiliary goes.

    But given the choice of more slots on a primary or having 3 slots on a passive why is it people have the 3 slots on the passive? When in theory you may get more out of those slots on the primary.

    Oh wait just remembered i have aid self 6 slotted to give me regen like qualities so i have high defense and good regen. But still a good question about priorities i thought.

    pve wise i think you have picked a very damaging and offensive combo, i also would of took haymaker first for lower end cost faster recharge better attack chain. id like to see the effect of rage on burn i know its outstanding on knockout blow. pvp wise id imagine energy melee toggle dropping everyone and making kills lighter i am so torn between ss/fire and en/fire myself and cos i have an invuln/ss i went for en/fire for somit new. i want a completely psychotic brute that just berserkers in anyway even if RotP is my main attack.

    Knockout blow is a hold and I believe would have that effect on a Nova form, jab is a superstrengths disorient but not of any great magnitude. You may find the energy melee set is almost entirely disorients and some of really good magnitude. ItÂ’s the magnitude of the disorients that can cause toggle drops on another. I would not put money on jab knocking the toggles of a mezz protected melee based toon.
